Until an independant inquiry is undertaken and they find thousands of people dead, then I'll believe it. I really fail to see what Georgia could have possibly hoped to achieve by shelling and crushing 2000 Russians with tanks. It makes no sense what so ever, but it's all you hear from Russian people on any kind of politically oriented forum or website.

The world's "mass media" isn't showing constant slideshows of "Ossetian Suffering" and having massive fiery letters spell out "OSSETIAN GENOCIDE", or complaining about the Russian media broadcasting propoganda. They are showing both Russian and Georgian forces contrary to what the Russian government seems to think. If anything, Russia are conducting the mass-media brainwashing.

I'm astonished how anyone can believe Russia's side of the argument on all of this. RussiaToday's rolling news consists entirely of stories of Georgian's commiting genocide and executing Russian soldiers, even though they've been constantly falling back to the capital. Really now, what the hell kind of chance does a country with a 75k population have against one of the world's super powers? What could they possibly gain from "ethnically cleansing" South Ossetia? Not to mention the "slideshow of suffering" they're constantly keep showing with "OSSETIA GENOCIDE" writen in big, fiery letters. Russia is constantly accusing the West of anti-Russian propoganda, but what the hell are they reporting to Russian citizens?

Why would Russia even get involved with this? South Ossetia is officially part of Georgia and isn't recognised as an independant nation. The only people who think it's an independant nation are the rebels formed from the reminants of the Soviet era. Russia's actions, the history of the area, the Russian media, and the timing of this event all point towards Russia trying to invade and occupy Georgia for their own gain. Blaiming a small nation for "genocide" is the perfect scapegoat for a super power to take action against such a nation.

Hmmm, the general opinion seems to be that NG runs slow no matter what.

I'm running on 2.4ghz dual core with 2gb of ram and a ham beast of a video card. I'm getting some lag, but not huge amounts so far. No need to worry about upgrading quite yet unless you really feel NG is quite that special :3

If you feel your a little low on the moolah, This and this would slightly improve on what you've got currently for around $80, although it'd depend on how old the mother board and computer casing is. You'd also have to be willing to insert the new parts yourself (which in reality isn't very tasking).
