Of the 700, 100 decide they want to major in physics or chemistry. Of them 70 get weeded out. You now have 30 people who will continue. The other 970 people will be better served with an education that focuses on creationism. We are living in a time with relative ethics. We are living in an increasing secular society, where life means little. We all watched in horror as the Teri Shiavo in Florida was starved to death. That never should have happened, in the light that there is information that her husband might have beat her the night she collapsed, and the uncertainty of her wishes. I brought my children to see Pixar's latest abomination, "Up" this weekend and all I can say is it was awful, awful, AWFUL!

I have dealed with Pixar's pseudointellectualistic failures in the past. Instead of sticking with good, wholesome family movies (like their best movie, the always fun and charming classic "Cars"), they continue to churn out generic movies that would only appeal to jobless, pothead scumbags that want to feel smart (Kung Fu Panda barely saved them last year, but they've given up on trying to make comedies it seems). I do not have the time or energy to express how much I and my husband and kids hated Ratatoullie, and we all enjoy Bravo's Top Chef, so that should tell you how terrible it is.

I also brought my children to see WallE and absolutely HATED it! The movie was just a long commercial for radical Liberals that hate America! The very notion that our great country's future could ever be so ridiculous is laughable! Unfortunately, that's the only laughable thing about this movie. I was checking my watch so much, I paid attention to it much more than I did the movie, and both my kids were falling asleep by the 45 minute mark. This is not a kids movie, this isn't a movie for anyone. It's trash, plain and simple. Stupid, boring trash. (I recommend renting Madagascar 2 instead if you're looking for a movie that's truly "Laugh Out Loud" fun for the whole family).

However, this year's release was just the worst of the worst! Not only is Up completely unenjoyable for both young and old, it's just downright offensive at times! A movie where, within the first 15 minutes, deals with a miscarriage? My youngest was asking me what was going on, and I could barely give him and explanation over all the sobbing the crybabies in the audience were doing. We only know the main character and his wife for such a brief period of time, the lame, forced "emotional" moments were much too unrealistic and over-the-top to make the average person feel anything but "UP"set. The only redeeming quality this movie holds is the hilarious talking dogs that made me giggle, remembering our dog "Ruff" at home (however, the miscarriage scene reminding me of my own three miscarriages was thoroughly uncomfortable). Simply put: don't waste time with Pixar's newest garbage, they're not children-appropriate at all, although they continue to attempt to advertise it as such. I suggest you see the much more entertaining and hilarious 3D thrillride "Monsters Vs. Aliens" if your movie theater is still showing it (I honestly don't see how they can make something as brilliant as MVA and then go make this crap).

I give this stinker a grand total of 2 points out of a possible 10 on my private grading scale. Don't waste the money, the 3D doesn't even save it from being such a piece of anti-entertainment (no fun surprises like arms reaching out at you, my children were very disappointed).
