Garageband is free.

Garageband is more a starter program, supplied with OS X for 2 main reasons; to provide people an easy way to manipulate and produce audio without shelling out for a full DAW and to encourage advanced hobbyists to upgrade to Logic Express or Logic Studio - which are truly much more powerful and useful than Garageband is. If you do have a mac, I'd suggest buying Logic Studio since it's probably the best you're likely to get + it's easier to use than you'd expect.

Why wouldn't you just see yourself getting to where you are now?

As you look back where you've been, the light that was emitted/reflected from your ship would reach you in-front-of, and before the light from the earth would reach you.

Wow, so much hard work. I'm sure that it must have truly rewarding, honest work stealing from artists.

Normally, I would give advice; but tbh, I have no sympathy for people who openly steal from artists just to avoid actually paying for something that's someone's - recognisably - put their heart into.

You realise that it's probably something tiny that could be fixed for a tenner by a local techie.

Regardless, if I were getting a new mac, I'd probably get This model of iMac. I'd also use my student discount to knock a couple of hundred pounds of and get myself a free iPod Touch <3

Forum: General

I can't tell my favourite pizza places; almost all of the pizza places in Dundee use a generic box made by a company dedicated to making pizza boxes in Fife :P

Bleh, I prefer Bridies to Pizza <.< They're not nearly as big normally ... but if you get a Forfar Bridie, they can be fucking enormous. I have a picture of myself when I was wee with a forfar bridie about 3 times the size of me, but I dread thinking about what would happen to that picture if I uploaded it to newgrounds.

This kind of sentence would never be used though as Im sure most guys would just turn it over themselves since they already would have the remote :p

"Wan stick on the fitba, quine"

The more the scots accent is refined, the further and further it moves away from English :P Although that's understandable when you're trying to pin down the accent of a people who's language is separate from English.

Topic: My teacher dated a student stipper

Posted: 10/16/09 12:00 PM

Forum: General

At 10/16/09 01:22 AM, Yorik wrote: The article is confusing. It says the teacher turned her "love letter" in to the school administration and then later is quoted saying that he didn't know if they knew about their relationship. How could they not know when he told them? And why does she blame the school for problems caused by her relationship with the teacher? She's the one that was all about being with him, so where does she get off blaming them for her poor performance after it all fell through?

This is a dumb story.

The teacher gave the love letter to the school initially, when they didn't have a relationship. The relationship was only started long after that. He didn't tell them he was having an affair, he told them that she had sent him a love letter when he wasn't.

She blames the school for splitting them up because it's the school that's the sole reason for the split up; there was nothing illegal about the relationship except for the breach of contract between the teacher and the school.

She never had poor performance in school - she still graduated and passed, she just wasn't allowed to be at the graduation ceremony.

I accidently ripped out a pube from my anus. It is in my opinion, the most painful thing in the world.
There are many more painful things that can happen to your anus alone that are worse then that.

I've broken my left wrist and my collar bone - there are far more painful things in the world, believe me.

When you have such a damaging injury, your brain releases endorphins into your bloodstream to dull the pain (it, of course, gets much more painful once your brain can't release any more) - which also happens to be why some people derive pleasure from pain.

Sometimes, the most painful thing isn't necessarily a source of physical pain, or may be less physical pain than mental or emotional pain. For instance, being a vicar and having to go to the emergency room to have a potato removed from your arse would invite a lot more emotional pain (from embarrassment mostly, I'm guessing) than it would physical pain.

Topic: Copyright Law And You!

Posted: 08/25/09 05:22 PM

Forum: Audio

Any way you have of proving definitely that you made the song works - and the poor man's copyright does work as long as it's a protected and tracked package. You could also use evidence of your music existing prior to someone else making it from trusted sources (ie the Google Caches, Archive.org, etc.) as very strong evidence.

At least, that's the way it works under Scottish Law. I'd presume that it's the same in America, since it's only common sense - I'd be extremely surprised if the only way to copyright your work was to register it with the government for a $45 fee. (Imagine coming back from holiday and having to pay $45 to the government for every photo you took before you upload it to flickr/bebo/whatever)
