Make yours today. Find something wrong and fix it. He loves me. I love him. There are regrets, but I will learn from them. I believe we have our peace.
I just wanted to make that update for the people who aided me. I appreciate them all.
Sorry to bump this, but I'm giving the final update.
He's dying. It's pretty much over now. He'll be dead in several days. In his mind, he's tired. 7 years of fighting of that mother fucking brain tumor has taken its toll, and I can't say I blame him for the decisions he's made now. I've shed tears and made some peace. The last two days have really hurt. I've smoked too much (unfortunately, nothing green), but it's one of the few things that help. I plan to play a song on guitar I wrote for him at the funeral. Life has always been fucked for my family. But this event only inspires me to make more change. I've lost weight (in a good way, being veggie now and all) and I'm trying more at school. I've also got a lot of projects going on. A collab, writing a script, graphic design: they're all gonna thrive as I put my best effort out there.
Things aren't well around me either. My roomie just checked himself into a mental health clinic a few days ago because he'd been having suicidal thoughts over this bitch. It's rough right now. But I'm not going to be down about these things. I'm going to be my best.
To quote the posi-core band, Good Clean Fun...
"Positively Positive!"
Stay happy kids. I love you all

I just watched your updated part while that still life song horizon/line was playing. It's really awesome.
Anyways, sorry about my lack of posts. Lots of family nonsense going on. My dad's not going to be with us much longer. I'm fine though. This is spring break, so I wouldn't be able to be at the computer lab very much this week anyways. Next week I'll get cracking again. See you guys on the flip side.
Oh, yes, I'll keep up the constant ego stroking going on here to say: AWESOME PARTS EVERYONE!
biskits, your subway scene should be intergrated with ziwon's somehow.
5 Guys
Yeah, there's one in Pittsburgh. Unfortunately, I'm veggie, so I no longer appreciate burgers. But their fries are amazing. And the free peanuts are totally bomb.
Sonics and other things that people hear of but can't get to
I too get all those damn commercials (which are like episodes of Seinfeld, only shorter and even more the same each time). I'll stick to Sheetz, which all of you hopefully have experienced or will someday. Also, anyone here have a Cici's nearby? Probably the most incredible thing in the history of ever. I won last night. 19 slices. What's you guys' record/Have you got one nearby?
Dell Tech Support may suk mah cok
Funny how you can still totally type Dell Tech Support without a problem. Dell hates Ks. Hope that worcs out for you.
In other news, sorry about forgetting topic title on top of my last post.
stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid >:C
So shortly after i posted my last thing, I went to take the 500 bus from Oakland to the North Side in Pittsburgh to work. Well, Pittsburgh (which, from what I hear, is the 2nd largest celebrator of St. Patties day in either america or the world) is have the parade today Downtown. it makes sense. but the deal is, all the Pitt students coming back from spring break are drinking in the streets and having a good time.
So I'm waiting for it to come, talking to some of the drunkards, laughing to myself, and finally the 500 comes...and then it goes. Since it stops Downtown, it's too full of drunk kids to take me to work! I walk up to another bus stop further up the street and see an aquantence to whom I bitch about my situation.
Then, this guy who works for Port Authority (Pittsburgh bus company), asks me where I'm going. I tell him, and we both know that the 500 is the only bus to take from Oakland to Northside. So this guy fucking let's me ride in his Port Authority truck and DRIVES ME TO WORK! Seriously, one of the most awesome things that have happened to me in a long time.
If you're ever in Pittsburgh and you meet a Bob Woods, buy him a drink for me or something. He wins.
This shit doesn't happen in New York, I'll tell you that much.

Perhaps is with give you a font or some art to display our names, than you just standardize the positioning and presentation. That's how I've seen it done best.
Also, check out the song Airborne on Jaga Jazzist's myspace. That's my pitch for music. But I'd love to hear if anyone else has any ideas for it.
Sorry to be tardy to the party, but happy belated birthday delta.
Biggest Project
Right now I'm working on a synopsis for an RPG. As of the past couple of days I haven't touched it. But with spring break, I should have some time to storm up some more ideas. It's going to be huge, hopefully. I've had the general idea for years now and I'm just now trying to compile it into an epic tale.

Who is your all-time favourite artist?
Well, like I said earlier, Recife does some pretty sick shit. I really don't have artists I like, though, just art that I like. I think people get too attached to names and it hurts their critiques. I do that with music, and it sucks.
MindChamber is pretty awesome though. And Luis. I've been involved a lot with NG lately, so those artists come to mind easily.

I saw something cardboard city ish too!
Firstly, I think we should put that poem in the beginning of the flash. that would require a little help from volit0. We'd need the text, the author, and perhaps a translation.
Secondly, I really dig that video. I think I may try that. With some padding, that could be truly awesome. Being green is rad.
You're pretty good with straight lines. Geometry is your thing?
do you not have any high res versions of these? Right now they look like good MS Paint gifs.

what do you think? Any bugs or things I could quickly improve on before submitting? Might as well make it as good as I can :)
I don't have any sounds, but it looks fantastic. This is award worthy. Love your style.

We kinda discussed it. I pitched a band called Jaga Jazzist. Chill, but fast paced at times. It's neat. Check it out. But other than that, not really.

kudos. i love a great deal of that art.
and with that, might I present MY update. It contains the first scene I put up, with some improvements to it, then the beginning of another.
Here's a shirt I made for my good buddies outclassed (I live with one of them). Any ways, I took some inspiration from one of their guitarists ("I think windmills are really cool"), and the others didn't share his sentiment, so no go on getting this one printed. It was still fun though and I still like it.
At 3/13/08 06:31 PM, Ansel wrote: Yeah, I thought it was hitler :/
These all look super professional. I'd expect to see them on a shirt, and it's cool that you're getting to do business for your pictures.
I don't know if you think I took these photos, but they are stock.
Anyways, yeah, I don't think there are many people on NG who do this kind of collage-esque stuff. They seem mostly like purists who only draw their own graphics. Which is awesome by me. I just wonder if anyone else does this.
Oh, and all these pics are taken legally, which I repeat. I make sure that everything I use has no strings attatched. Getting sued is for the birds, kids.
there will now be cola cans in the kitchen. the end
the portal isn't for trailers. it's for completed work. you want to submit an alpha for that. true, it probably won't get much hype from it, but that's how it works.
RE: Summer
To be honest, I couldn't be looking more forward to summer. Winter in Pittsburgh has made me a miserable human being, but today it felt like 60 and there were CLEAR BLUE SKIES! I went on top of my friends roof and looked at the skyline. Hell, I even took off my shirt! OUTSIDE! It was truly incredible.
I feel like it also gets me more into animating. Everything's so much more vivid! The cardboard collab is turning out pretty nifty so far, so I'm excited to have the another flash in the bag and a boosted BA (though it's kinda worthless nowadays...).
I'm actually working on another cartoon all by myself (my first new solo project since the Christmas before last). A couple of pals have been working on some really funny stuff, and I offered my services. We just finished a rough draft of the script. It should be finished by next week (they were on spring break this week, and I have it next), so I'm curious if anyone here wants to read it. I really enjoyed writing with other people again. I feel like it balances my humor out. I put way to many pauses and drawn out things in them if I'm left alone.
And yes, this still all relates to summer. i'll have boat loads of free time and the ability to make some really cool things if my life continues to thrive for flash.
Here's a flyer I made for one of the most amazing shows I ever attended/played. All the bands on this flyer you should check out. They're all on MySpace and range from things like the Dismemberment Plan to bitchin' hardcore (more like the 80s, not so metal).
Mine was Gentlemen Congressional, we're dead now though.

Perhaps if you remove the text and replace it with something that draws a little less attention, it'd be great. I love the cutesy things on the posters. Just take away the fucking product placement. Coca-cola has no place in art.

Hi-res
These are incredible. I don't know why I'm still a sucker for robots, but I am. Keep it up fella!
RE: Useless Posts
Listen, I'd really like to comment on how all those folks are doing is bragging about how in demand there work is or how they simply want the +1 post count, but I'm really busy with other projects right now. Maybe later I'll see.
This is a shirt I made for Eleventh Hour Co. As you can tell by the first page of their site, it went over with them pretty smashingly. I believe they're still having a sale for 50% off and free shipping. Here are the details.
I'm supposed to get some royalties for this, so help a brotha out!
Or just appreciate the art.
I'm happy either way

that guy is actually pretty cute for having worm arms. I like your monsterish style.
RE: Collabs.
It's true there are too many right now. Some of them I think are pretty good though and will end in good movies. That one with the Dark Lotus song and a lot of the others are just doomed though. NG-Collabs used to take all of this nonsense, but without it being as strong as it used to be, they're all back here now.
I'm actually participating in my first. It's fun when it's a good idea.
(Though I just lost like 30 minutes worth of animating...grrrr)
Here's a shirt I did for the band seeking surreal. I haven't gotten to see it printed yet, but I can't wait. I really like this piece. Funny note though, the band asked me to cut off the shadow under the guys nose. They said it looked too much like Hitler.
Here's a link to a higher res version.
try and find the best coder you can to help you with this. Your art is really top notch dood, so don't settle for someone who might half ass it.
