In the contrary, VGDC is most known for the Rise Of The Mushroom Kingdom series, which is also based on the Mario Brothers series by Phantasmagoria-crow. Of course the VGDC site is well known, especially in the sprite world where theyre at the top (along with Alvin and the defunct Dungeon Studios). Google says the site is harmful, but i havent had any problem visiting the site, except that its quite flashy when you drop by there. I dunno... but feel free to do what you want. Just to be on the safe side, be sure to have installed a good antivirus if you really are that careful xP

The logo tho, Dookiemaister is right. They wouldnt bother checking it out because theyre already satisfied with their original one. Try putting some more effort in it, and make it look more firm. In my opinion, the shine should also look smoother :P

Your probably feeling a little bit better though, because of all the people that support you. We (the people that support you) just want to say that you rock Hammi, your an artist. NOT A DREAMER! you must have faith in your self, trust it, become someone who makes great art with just a pencil and an eraser. But most of all, be yourself. Life sucks, practice too, but you have to learn that it's all about the practice.

I think the drawing is a good try. Hell, its not perfect but i think its a start. The next thing you should learn is to keep a structured face. It does have some of the requirements, but you must learn to shape up the face and the head. Do some anatomy research and watch carefully how peoples faces are lined out. In my opinion its better to do that if you want to continue to do some serious art in the future, but err... if you want some fun meanwhile, then i can suggest a quicker, but still not an ideal way. I would recommend Matt's Anime Tutorial. I used it myself from the beginning, but i soon realized that i need a lot more than anime techniques xP Well, i hope it helped! :)

I sketched up this drawing after Poxs demand. We had a sort of fight over AIM, and i wanted to make peace with him and make it up again. He wanted to see a hamster riding a shark. Sooooo... i dont want anyone to mistake me for an ass, so i did it. If i want some respect back, then i gotta spread some <3 xP

And i agree, traced work is mostly overlooked here. Even tho you maybe have spent lot of time on this, trace is still not an original style, and thats exactly what its all about. People want original fresh art here, not the same overused technique that is all over the art forum these days. Its usually the same stuffs, and that is quite frustrating for many here.
