I got mine pretty cheap. Bought it via a video game forum. ^^

Like hell they'll think of that. Nintendo are a fucking failure these days and I'm ashamed to have a Wii rather than the 360 or PS3.
Well, at least there are no stories about Wii's that break down because of a RROD. Sadly, 360's and PS3's have a high failure rate it seems. :/
No but in return, we have a short amount of good games and by games, I mean Wii games only.

Yeah, maybe that's why the Wii doesn't have such a high failure rate. It just doesn't run as long and often as a 360 or a PS3. ^^

Don't they see dragons as monsters already? So yeah, no cleaning up. We hire a janitor!
Ok, that's fine with me. ^^
Wait what, I thought you were disagreeing with me. What happened?

I thought the janitor would do the cleaning up? So, if we hire a janitor and he cleans up this mess, that's fine with me.

They should just release the whole library aviable for the NES. Okay, they could leave out shit like Bible Adventures, but the rest? There's really no reason for them to NOT release it. No, CTRL + F5 does NOT clear your cache. It's a "forced refresh" where the browser loads all images, etc. again from the webpage and not from the cache. And by doing so the browser might overwrite any old existing images he previously got from that site with the new ones, but the cache itself isn't cleared.

I'm finished with the "basic study period", now I'm in the "main study period" (or "advanced study period"). And within the main study period there are certain requirements I have to fullfill, like getting 10 bonus points in "ABWL" (which I tried to translate as "universal business studies"), 10 bonus points in "Wirtschaftsinformatik A" (=Business Informatics A), attending 2 out of 3 given lectures (and passing the examns, of course) for "Wirtschaftsinformatik B" (=Business Informatics B) and so on.
But within those "fields" I named (well except for "Business Informatics B", where I can only choose between 3 lectures) I can choose between a wide range of lectures.

Yes, because it's too much trouble to constantly support multiple versions of the portal, classic view is going to stay 100% classic and get none of the new api features. Oh, that sucks. Can't I still charge through whoever supports Daylight Saving?

I guess that would actually help us in getting rid of Daylight Saving.

Have you even listened to King Crimson before?
No. And don't plan doing so in the future.
And why is that?

Because I thought it was some song from Manowar. A quick look on google told me that this isn't the case at all. -.-

Now I wonder why they didn't name themselves that and went with Rhapsody of Fire instead..
Maybe they thought, they shouldn't state the obvious.
But they needed to establish their epicness even more.

They do that with their songs.

Oh that's kinda lame. In our case we simply have to do some other subjects in the new system that are sort of the same as the old one. That seems like a better solution to me since you're not pretty much forced to solve it yourself if you screw up.

Yeah, they try to do something similar here, but sometimes a lecture isn't needed anymore for the bachelors, so they don't offer it anymore.

Oh okay. I thought you said you had several tests that all counted to one grade for one subject.
It's a bit complicated. I have certain "fields" (like "universal business studies", there's also a field which is called "specific business studies") where I have to gather a certain amount of points, but to get those I have to attend specific lectures that are part of this field and take a test in this lecture. If I pass the examn, I get points (basically I get 3 points for a lecture, but it may be different, depending on how many semester periods per week the lecture had, and if there was some kind of tutorial, etc.).
I need at least 10 points to pass a certain "field" (there's no limit on how many points I can gather in a field, so if I want to attend more lectures than necessary I can do that).
Sounds a bit like the EC system, but with much more freedom. So your basic study is business studies and within that study you can educate yourself in certain fields?

I'm studying "Business Informatics" and I'm not entirely sure if I understand your question correctly, because it's really hard to translate all those terms correctly.

But all those examns are at the end of each semester, and there's a second during the semester break. Usually I write my examns on this second date, gives me more time to prepare for the examn. ^^
Oh and are those second ones like resits then?

Yeah, the second date is called "Nachschreibetermin" which basically means, everybody who flunked the test on the first date can have a second try there. But it's not mandatory to write the examns on the first date.
Also, it's not mandatory to write the examn again on the second date if you flunked on the first date.

If you mean that your upload won't finish (still showing the "uploading" animation) then it might be your firewall blocking it. Just disable any firewall you are running and try uploading it again.

No. And don't plan doing so in the future.

Alright. We don't really have anything like that here. At the university you simply do a Bachelor and then a Master. If you graduate however, you get to pick whether you want to be a Master or an "Ingenieur" (the Dutch title for Engineer). Personally I prefer Master as a title :p

We have a proverb in Germany... "Dem Ingeniör ist nichts zu schwör" which basically means, someone who is an Ingenieur is an expert in (almost) all fields. So, I'd prefer "Ingenieur". :P

Too bad that all the study courses are now being converted into Bachelor/Master. When I began my studies I was in the last "Diplom-year" and now I have to finish everything until 2012. Time is getting pretty short now. ^^

How many resits are you allowed? For me there are examns where I only have 3 tries, others I have as many tries I like (obviously, the latter examns don't count that much towards my final note)
Thanks.

Well basically I can have as many as I want and it may take as long as I want. We don't have anything like a "BSA" as we call it here ("bindend studie advies", or binding study advice). It means that you don't have to get a certain amount of EC's by the end of the year if you wanna continue your study. I've heard of a guy who's been at my faculty for nine years and still hasn't got his Bachelor title.

I don't know if the Bachelors here have something like a BSA, but I don't have it, and I'm glad about that. I'm not a Bachelor, I'm a "Diplomer", which means I get a licentiate degree [=Diplom] once I'm finished. Too bad that all the study courses are now being converted into Bachelor/Master. When I began my studies I was in the last "Diplom-year" and now I have to finish everything until 2012. Time is getting pretty short now. ^^

Also, studies are divided into "basic studies" and "advanced study period". While in the basic study period there where courses I had to take and had to pass examns now in the advanced study period I only have to gather a certain amount of "BP" ("Bonus Points") in certain fields like "universal business studies" or "computer sience", but I have a wider choice of which courses I exactly want to take to gather those points.

Also, we only have one exam for one subject. If you pass, you pass the subject. If you fail you gotta do a resit. Other than an occasional bonus test, we don't have anything else that determines our grades. No tests in between or whatsoever.

Yeah, we only have examns at the end of each semester, no tests in between as well.

Yes okay, but that's a pretty extreme case I guess. I think most people with a normal job wake up later than that.

Yeah, maybe. Depends on what job you have and how long it takes you to get there.

Anyway, I'm not totally against your idea, I just misunderstood you in the beginning, I just realized that today. All I want is that politicians get rid of this stupid "set clock back/forth one hour" thing and I realized that if we just set our clocks forward for one hour and then leave it at that, we would achieve the same thing I voted for in the beginning: Getting rid of that "set your clock"-thing. :)
Hmm yeah. I think the biggest problem people have with it is that they tend to get all depressed and such from resetting the clock. Or at least, that's what I've heard recently. It has something with their biological clock or something. So yeah, we should get rid of setting the clock every half year.
