this site - http://portableapps.com/ - is run by a fellow called John Haller and he creates Portable versions of open source software

the version of firefox stores the cache in memory, max of 20meg, so assuming ur employer doesn't check ip logs, you're all good to go

Why do people bother with pop3 anyway? I'm serious, what's the benifit, someone please explain.

I find web-based alternatives better anyway....Gmail gives me heaps of space and its so easy and simple to use, and formats replies nicely

Web Comics Posted September 17th, 2006 in General

Aside from the flash portal, I imagine that many of you read a webcomic or two to pass the time whilst on the interweb.

Just wondering what webcomics ppl read, be good to find out about a few new ones.

I read, in order of preference

www.licd.com - Least I Could Do - updated 6 times a week
www.explosm.net/comics - Cyanide and Happiness - updated daily
www.ctrlaltdel-online.com - Ctrl Alt Del

What else are people enjoying?

Sure he has talent and looks, but I'm not so sure I'd want that if it meant that I had a hankering to draw penises, sometime in mulitples, really well!

He's becoming a perpetrator of cock!
Art forum's been up for how long, and I've seen at least 10 from him.....

Couldn't he may use that talent and save some money and draw himself some porn.

:Sorry Stamper, felt like paying something out and I happened to be on this thread

My friend took up smoking as soon as he turned 18. He has no money ever and smokes "Black Devils", silly chocolate flavoured ones.

Yer, I don't really get smoking either, although I don't mind the quarterly cigar...

that and emos...

Response to: Sex at a very young age? Posted September 17th, 2006 in General

tell him it clears up pimples....

I like the story about the guy and the girl who get married and both come from ultra conservative families.
after 6 months, she's still not pregnant, and they don't know why...
someone finally tells them about sex....
they'd just been sharing a bed for 6months and assumed it would happen....

I mean, that kinda stuff is even in the bible

if u have the time, read Leviticus Chapter 15 it's funny

Response to: Greatest Courtesy Call Evar! Posted September 17th, 2006 in General

We always get calls from companies that out source and generally you can tell if they are reading off a card.
If you say hello, the correct response on their card is hello, like u can't hear them, but to real fuck'em up, you say something that's completely irrelevant like "The dog's escaped."

Best Case Ever though,
A friend of mine actually did a telemarketing stint, and we used to give him a hard time about it.
One Day at work, he called this dude's house, and it was someone he actually knew.....

Hi, do you rent, because we offer this wonde.....
- Hi Carl
Cristian?
- Yep

User Gltich? Posted January 18th, 2006 in General

I was always under the impression at their was only one level 30 person, yet both Pimp and humantarget52 have both attained this. Also one part of the site says humantarget52 is behind 10 points, but their profiles say they are on the same amount.

What's up?

Response to: Leather Jackets? Posted September 26th, 2005 in General

Yer, well i didn't think it could do that. I think it might b friction related cause it's prominant on the left sleeve, and i'm left handed.
I just hope it's fixable.....otherwise I'm screwed.

Leather Jackets? Posted September 26th, 2005 in General

Someone told me that alcohol completly owns leather and after i went to this parry, my leather jacket started to flake. What's worse, is it was meant to be worn at my formal which is a week away.
Has anyone got any tips on how I could go about fixing it?
And does alcohol really screw up leather?
