It's easier if you open Steam
Go to the "My Games" tab
Right click L4D/L4D2
Click "Set Launch Options"
and enter "-windowed"

If you want, you can also type "-novid and it removes the startup valve video

Bollocks mate, snipers on the game have a "travel time" before they hit an enemy, and so you must aim AHEAD of them.

Sushi, you got the gist of it right. The only one you seem to have not "grasped" persay, was about the 500 post rule.

I'd say it's fine if it was offline play, but using a modded xbox online you should be banned from the list, the only problem here is knowing who has an online modded xbox...

3) If I'm going to be manually obtaining people's gamerscores every week then I want to make it as quick a process as possible. An idea I had to make it quicker (and to bring a little more order to this whole thing) is to set up a couple of gamertags (with names like NGLeaderboard1 & NGLeaderboard2) and anybody who wants to be included in the leaderboard has to have one of these gamertags on their friend's list.
This will make it a million times easier to pull the data because it will be possible to see everybodys updated gamerscore on one page, rather than having to search for everybody individually. This will also get rid of all the essentially useless people on the leaderboard who only posted in this thread once and haven't even used their xbox in months and there are a hell of a lot of them. When I did the update I saw loads of people who haven't signed into Xbox Live for over 3 months. The way I see it, those people don't bring anything to the leaderboard and aren't really necessary in any way. It would be better to have a smaller leaderboard made up of the people who are actually members of the community and regularly play games.

I don't see a problem with this atall, it's a minor inconvieniece at the most.

I personally am unsure about this, I see alot of people getting excited to get on the list after 500 posts, but then I don't know half the people on the leaderboard.

This thread is getting awfully long now, and it is getting hard to find individual posts.

If anybody has any other suggestions/points/issues/comments about the running of the leaderboard then now is a good time to speak up.

I haven't really looked retail stores yet, so they could have them, I tried ebay and amazon and couldn't find anything (except for international sellers, where it's like £2 for the comic but like £5 shipping).

Now for new information, Ghost may be getting a new game. Personally, as interesting as it is, it screams cash-cow. Yes, he's liked, A LOT, but why should it mean that he should have a comic and spin-off game for him? Instead of killing him off, they could of worked on the development of Ghost as a character in a future sequel of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. They could still just make a prequel of the game (a complete game, not just a spin off), but they'll probably go on ahead anyway and milk the cash cow.

I'd wait to see where the Call of Duty series actually goes first, before calling it a cash-cow, he's a very likable character and surely if the players love him so much, they'd be glad to have another game with Ghost as the protagonist.
