The Wii Remote with the Nunchuck is still bareable. I mean I don't use it, but I've seen compettive level, as well as casual, players use it just fine. It just takes more practice, i'm sure.

It's really not that bad. Sure the concept is cliche by now, that's obvious, but the work the developers put in to make the controls completely customizable, an online system that--relatively-- actually works (as opposed to the train wreck that Smash is) and pushing the weak little power of the Wii to something that looks half good is admirable.

I actually had fun going through the Single player, actually.

Keep in mind that Nintendo's Wifi service, particularly that of Brawl's, is pretty unreliable.

I'd recommend reading this article on how to open or forward your ports so that you cut through half the BS the Wii has to.
