3.93 / 5.00 4,634 Viewsso i finished a cartoon and exported it and converted it in swivel to a video for youtube. no problem there. however, i want to upload the file to Newgrounds and the limit for file size is 20 MB and my file is a whopping 78 MB because the audio is Raw. if i compress it to speech or mp3 the file goes down to a nice 12 MB but the audio now plays way before it should.
all of my audio is in "stream".
Please help? any suggestions as to what to do? if the audio is raw, everything is perfect but cant upload. if i compress it, i can upload no problem, but the audio is out of sync... thanks for the help in advance :D
i made the series "Stickman Can't Fight" and although i have read all the comments and reviews telling me how cool and how much they liked it; for some reason i still get little attention. on newgrounds i have been on the daily top 5 multiple times, but even with all that, i really dont get as much exposure as i know i could get. what should i do?
Here is a link to my latest animation here on newgrounds JUST CLICK HERE
any suggestions are welcomed. and if no suggestions, then at least thank you for watching it :3

it would help if you would provide more details. like payment, a little more detail as to what the RPG is about (but discrete enough that you dont give much away :D) and if you already have character models.

I would like to make a correction. I would give 20-30% profit for album artwork and 50% for an animation for the music.
its really all up to the animator. but a realistic number would be anywhere from 100 to 300 for an upfront payment. or also (what i do) get half up front and get the later half at the end. its a down payment that kinda gives us animators assurance that this is legit. (we get lots of flakers). honestly the "half now, half later" is what i think is the best way to work. because you can discuss price with the animator and once that is settled you can cut in in half for the up front payment. you really have to factor in what YOU want, what they think, deadline, syncing, and the back and fort interaction between the two of you.
hope this helps man :D
pretty bummed that we couldn't get on the top 5. congrats to the winners though
If you're at Comic-Con this weekend, be sure to stop by the Behemoth booth and say hi! They moved the video games to Hall A and we're easy to find because we have a massive island full of BattleBlock Theater and Castle Crashers arcade cabinets.
i was there, shook your hand and introduced my self. it was really cool talking to you.....you where un-amused XD
Thanks for the daily 4th. But I won't rest until I can compete with the top animators! Next time I'm going for first place >:)
i need a voice actress that can do a"strong mature woman" voice. i have samples of the previous voice actress, but you dont have to match the voice exactly as it was. its for my series "Stickman Can't Fight" here on newgrounds and youtube. it has a decent following, it has won a spot on the daily top 5 every episode and im looking for a girl that can help me keep the streak going :D
if you are interested send me a PM or an e-mail at Guitan_11@hotmail.com
NO EXPERIENCE NESESARY! as long as you can act and your audio quality is good, you could be the one! :D
is this a paid project?
hello everyone, im here looking for someone to do the voice of Rosa for my series "Stickman Can't Fight". i need someone that can imitate the previous voice to some extent. if you want to hear Rosa's voice, here are some links to how she sounds like. (she is the pink one, if you didnt know) SCF 6-2
it doesnt have to be an exact imitation of the voice.
If you are interested PM me here on newgrounds or send me an e-mail at Guitan_11@hotmail.com
thanks in advance! (no experience requiered, as long as you have good quality and can act ;D )
i wanted to participate in this last year. but couldnt. im gonna try my best and participate this year :D
i dont know what the deal is! everytime i use a Vcam AS3. blurs shadows and other effects wont
VCAMS are a very powerful tool. they pretty much make your life a lot easyer AND your videos much more dynamic. but if you see in the actionscript inside that Vcam movie clip. there is a LOT of actionscript code that goes to making that nice little rectangle. so adding other effects like blur or shadows is like multiplying the work by like 10. i had the same issue, even a slight blur of like 2-5 can make Flash drop the frame rate or just not work. its too much for the little guy. so if you are using a vcam, avoid using blurs. if you have to use them then use them here and there.
super exited to get higher than the daily 4th this time! :D but to be honest i thought that the "pip the robot" animation was gonna sweep the floor, its AMAZING! either way, thank you all and hope you had a great Christmas :D
Please email me at thecinemasnob@yahoo.com if interested.

I'd like to improve my videos by having some opening slides, preferably animated. (Music not necessary, but will be paid more for original music!) I do vlogs mostly so far, although I will be doing let's plays and probably more tutorials, so a good all purpose opening would be good, although a seperate one for gaming would be fantastic!
im interested, lets talk :D
Tell me, when you Ctrl+Enter and preview your Flash (on it's own, as a .swf), does it still lag a lot?
only on the most visual heavy part. i have the same symbol multiple times, which im sure is the cause of the lag. but i only goes for that part of the video
i have started to make better looking animations, and with all the shading and lines and what not, it makes my flash file to drop its frame rate. i have made the problem a bit less by having lots of layers for things. i learned that having colors intersecting make this happen, but even when having layers for almost every color, i still get a laggy flash file. what can i do to make it NOT lag anymore? i see some amazing animations here on newgrounds with great backgrounds and visuals, so i know it can be done.
please help :3

now i use swivel. works like a charm, nearly perfect swf-to-video conversions (starbarians is proof)
i use iwisoft swf to video converter too. its pretty decent. and i actually ran int the same problem of exporting with no audio, all you had to do was update to a newer version, and its free to try out. all you get is a watermark on the corner about 1-2 inches long.
and i want to know more about this converter that newgrounds is coming up with! i have not heard of it :O
man, its always so hard to get higher rankings when sexual- lobster posts ANYTHING. good for him man, and thanks for the 5th place, i'll get higher next time for sure >:D
I got 4th again. Thanks! I'm not gonna lie, I wanted first, but I'm inpressed I did better than some well known animators :o so I'm proud of my self :D

NEVERMIND! it was the Bit ratio. if anyone has this problem, it might be because the bit ratio is either too high or too low on your file. for best results keep it at 44100 Hz and 16 bit. saves you a head ache :3

flash doesnt support some audio formats and also bitches if some of them are over 160 kbps
my advice would be to convert whatever u have to .wav format which is one of flash favorites somehow
if that doesnt work try lowering the kbps on yar stuff
if that fails then suicide
this helped me a lot! thanks bro. i especially thank you because of the whole self inflicted murder that followed if i couldn't get it to work :D
i have the perfect songs and sound effects for my animation, but when i try to add them to my flash file, it says that it cant because they were trouble reading them. what can i do to fix this issue?
ok, i'll try there too.

If shes using a lot of movie clips then it may not work that way, After Effects tend to just like Graphic Symbols. Unless the new After Effects can handle them better, I haven't tried using Movie Clips since they didn't work in previous versions.
you could just buy a converter. its the easiest way to do it, but it will cost you some money. i got one for $50 and movieClips and actionscript shows up perfectly, although the quality drops just a tad, but nothing to be all jumpy about
i agree with most of these guys here, a storyboard before you even start up your computer is the best way to go. you plan out everything roughly so that you at least have a direction. once you start animating and seeing things in motion you change and adjust things so that they look better. and one VERY IMPORTANT THING for animating quicker is: dont get distracted......... that is my biggest downfall. newgrounds, facebook, youtube, and a whole bunch of things just take away your focus and makes the process longer ^_^"
and here is a sample of a storyboard i do (its stickfigures, but it gets the point across) it doesnt have to be perfectly how you envision it, as long as you get whats going on ;)
im super exited!! cant believe i got the daily feature :D
