Me: Ok, then are you telling me that people far off from the reaches of society are going to Hell?

Me: Well, some societies such as those in the secluded parts of the Amazon have no contact with the outside world, and have never heard of Jesus Christ at all. Do those people, who never got the chance to find about Christ and make a decision, do they go to Hell?
Pastor: Well, of course they do, our sins without the forgiving of Christ must go punished.
Me: But they are never given the chance to be forgiven, because they never heard of Christ. Are you telling me then that going to Heaven is only if you get lucky enough to hear about Christ?
Pastor: God works in mysterious ways, and he offers everyone the chance to come to Jesus.
Me: Really? Then I guess babies who die prematurely after birth are also given the chance to.
Pastor: There are many things that God does that we do not know about, which is why we must have faith and not doubt his ways.
Me: So, you want me to stop thinking and searching for answers.
Pastor: That's right.

As I mentioned above your post, I plan on sleeping where the journey takes me. If it's a homeless shelter, the park, the forest, the desert, wherever and everywhere will be my bed.

I've read all of your comments and have decided to plan out the trip a bit more and wait until I finish high school. Also, I don't get why some of you are claiming that I said I will travel from LA to NY in a week. I never said it will take a week, I said I've been thinking all this week about taking this trip. It would at least take me 145 days to make the trip, and another 145 to get back from NY to LA, which is about 1 year.

Also for the 600 dollars, I think it is a great amount to take with me on this journey. I plan on sleeping in the streets and in the wild with my tent, and plan on using the money only to purchase food. And, if I ever to run short of funds, I can always rely on the hospitality of people during the journey.

Planning this trip is important, and you guys have cared enough to tell me this, but this I already know. I don't want to plan too much though because it takes the excitement of the journey out. I want to explore, and if lost, I want to find my own way out of the hole, I want to ask the locals around where I am, I want to engulf my mind into the journey, not thinking about anything else, but that.

I'm 16, and lately I've been walking and walking. I purposely don't take the bus and walk home and to school. I take the longest way possible, so each day I walk 34 miles, which takes me 10 hours. I got into walking about a year ago after my mother died, and I find walking calming. During walks, it gives me time to think about life, take in the details of my city, and explore life. It makes me feel free, free from society and its burdens. I feel light and myself.

I've been thinking about walking from Los Angeles to New York this entire week. I've thought of just giving up school for 1 year and use that time to explore America and myself. I think if I don't take this journey, I'll go crazy and be depressed for the rest of my life as I am now.

Do you guys think I should leave a note for my dad telling him where I've gone, give up school, and start my journey from LA to NY tomorrow? I'm asking this because I am doubtful myself, but the whole journey has been planned. I have a backpack setup with shoes, clothes, food, and 600 dollars. I can leave now if I want to, but I need reassurance.

Ok, so I will be honest with you guys.
I haven't gone swimming in years, and the last time I went was when I was in my kid years.

So my friend bought a phone from Best Buy.
