I thought the point of a game was to have fun, not to bitch about every single flaw it has.

There are several badass games I have played, the most recent one being hl2, I love shooting the helicopter with a machine gun on the boat.

And don't get me started on the forest temple in Ocarina of Time 3D. I'm STILL stuck on it, mostly because it's the only version of the game I've played.

i beat the forest temple on my first run when i was like 10 in 40 mins.

no offense but you're going to have a lot more trouble with the future dungeons in that game.

only with smoke, my graphics card doesn't like SOURCE'S smoke effects.

i dont have a fast computer either, but i still enjoy hl2, even though the smoke effects likes to make drop down a few frames.

EA had nothing to do with call of duty or halo. Get your facts straight.

Also, call of duty didn't revamp multiplayer, and halo didn't revamp the fps genre either.

How do you think valve has changed? Since I haven't really seen any major changes in what they're doing since they started. Except that they're become fond of the f2p model, but that doesn't make them a bad company.

Also, try using the chaingun. and aim for the pain elemental first, that's what I usually do.

It's ironic since the ones in Doom 64 that spit out twice the ammount are easier to kill.

Regardless of what you think about their games, you cannot deny that without them, PC gaming would NEVER have undergone a resuscitation like it has currently. And if that doesn't place them on a pedestal, then what the fuck does?

Ok, then EA is a revolutionary game company because call of duty revamped multiplayer. or how Halo revamped the FPS genre.

Does that mean they're a good company? No, perhaps a decade ago, but no anymore, companies change over time.

yea, I noticed that as well, they didn't even bother to change the sounds, but it wouldn't be a proper sequel since it runs on the same engine.

portal's gameplay doesn't appeal to me, even thought the script for the dialog is pretty well written. So it's more of an interactive movie then a game, and HL2 does fine with telling a story, so far, at least.

l4d is ok. I like to play it sometimes.

Valve is a decent company, and I just got HL2 yesterday and started playing, it's an actual refreshing experience to play a real game once for the first time in 2 years. I'm not complaining for 5 bucks.

but I hate how they end every half life game with a cliffhanger, it just lets Valve milk the franchise, aibet it's a good one.
