Name him Peter Botvinnik Fulp and call him P-Bot for short.

What's wrong with Windows XP? MS has said they will support it for as long as they support Vista.
Super Mafia Land is epic. That game must have taken a lot of hard work. I'm shocked it's < 4.00.
Artifission is excellent. It still has its issues but I really like where the series is going. Everyone should go play it right now.

Normal users can't remove their flash from NG, why should this guy be an exception?
Just because he got his name published on a couple websites?
I think NG should refuse to remove it so that he gets a class-action lawsuit from all the people paying him to remove the game from NG.
It would also be nice to keep out the filter-intensive Flash ads like the "crystal ball" which have a visible negative impact on the performance of our own Flash content.
Affirmative action is a terrible, dated concept.
If I have to go to the ER, I want a doctor operating on me who was hired because he is a better doctor than others competing for the job, not a doctor who was hired because he is, oh let's say... Asian.
Affirmative action attempts to solve unfairness to minorities by introducing unfairness to white males. Obviously it is no longer necessary to 'solve' the problem in this way because any time a company so much as coughs in a minority's direction, the minority will just call up their lawyer and get a nice little settlement out of court.
Crazy Chess is the best Flash game I've played in a long time. It reminds me a lot of Kung Fu Chess from back in the day.
Nice icon swapping by the authors of Jive Machine.

Underneath any of my reviews that have not been responded to is a link that reads "Respond to this Review!" Being a curious programmer I clicked on that link and it took me to a page which told me that I was not allowed to respond to the review, because it was not my song :-|
Other than that, it works very well, good feature! Helps me keep track of all the little "conversations" that I have with audio artists.
I liked Streamline a lot. Much better than any of that author's previous work.
While we're discussing obviously stolen movies, why is this still here?
I expect TANKMEN to win first place for June, although having voted, it reminds me what a strong month June was...

Wouldn't it be easier for the GG just to admit they fail?
Flash by darkangel66667: - none -
Tip: You will have better luck attracting ASers once you actually get some flash in the portal. It shows that you're actually serious and/or talented.
Yeah you're missing number one :-|
Congrats Seth, looks like that project came out ok after all, lol.
Let me play devil's advocate for a moment. Do you think NegativeOne would get nearly this much publicity for Johnny 2 if he had been coauthored in the first place?
How much would it hurt to put Blizzard on that page?
Just because the author said you could use it without crediting them, doesn't make it right or legal. Is your stance that there's no such thing as a crime with a willing victim?
If you tried to do this on a college paper you would be charged with plagarism.
Please tell me how I'm "missing the point" on this one.
To what extent do you 'produce' quality games? I know you have a few good people working for your company (Devish, Inglor) but for the most part you are paying people to put your company's name on their work, right? Do you count those games as yours?
One more thing: http://www.armorgame../games/warbears.html
Did the author give you permission to post this? I notice the version on your site says "Brought to you by Game Garage." Shouldn't that say, "ArmorGames"?
Did Gionatan refuse to make a version of the flash that said ArmorGames instead of GameGarage? Or did you just take the version from NG and copy it onto your site?
At least you told us the author's name this time.
At 3/12/06 04:54 PM, Inglor wrote: Chances are Dan asked them for permission, they said yes, he asked them what to put in for author and they said they don't care. That happens a lot when dealing with companies as big as Blizzard
So he put in "The Lost Vikings" instead of Blizzard? That's incredibly irresponsible.
Even if their demo being placed on another website doesn't hurt them at all (let's face it, when was the last time The Lost Vikings generated any revenue for them?) shouldn't ArmorGames at least have the decency to credit the company that developed the game?
Copyright law is still law, even if the copyright owner is too big and busy to file a complaint. It probably won't come to anything, as you said, but is this the reputation ArmorGames is trying to build?
Exhibit A: http://www.armorgame../thelostvikings.html
Exhibit B: http://www.blizzard...ic/vikingsdemo.shtml
I don't see Blizzard mentioned on the former page at all. ("The Lost Vikings" is the author.)
There must be some copyright loophole I'm not aware of?
Exhibit A: http://www.armorgame../thelostvikings.html
Exhibit B: http://www.blizzard...ic/vikingsdemo.shtml
AG staff, please explain why you think Blizzard would be okay with posting their professionally developed demo on your site, on a page in which Blizzard is neither mentioned nor linked to?
Or should I write Eric Bauman directly?

Do I sense just a bit of jealousy in this post?
Don't be daft. Why would I be jealous of people who are willing to accept money from you to advertise your website on their work?
Personally I wouldn't want any of my work to be associated with Armor Games. Your standards are too low.
At 3/2/06 07:13 PM, stickmoose wrote: That's just Kenney. He's a silly one.
I should say so. Anyway, good luck with those auto-sponsored games, hope they make people want to buy your ads or whatever your goal is.
Responses to reviews of "HaXX0r Knight," made by the same author who produced frontpage flash "Jack Russell."
Any animators feel like making a Pico game? I am an ASer and looking for someone to work with on a Pico submission. AIM CHRONOGATOR if interested; prepare to show samples of your work.
I will not read this thread for responses.

Just curious Tom: How far into the 'Philidephia area' does one need to be?
luvcraft's game should have gotten an award. IMHO it was a lot better than Knox's movie. Tough day though, a lot of strong submissions without an overwhelming favorite. I agree with 1-4. Congrats to those who won!
http://www.f-up.net/ hosts a lot of content stolen from NG (Alien Hominid, Sim Girl, RaidenX etc). They do not give credit at all to the authors, in fact they post their own copyright notice on each page of the website suggesting the content was made by them! Their logo has a Retarded Animal Baby in it for crying out loud.
They had a couple of my flashes up there, but after I complained to the site's ISP they were removed.
To all authors I would strongly advice you get a moichibot, it shows you exactly where your flash is being hosted.

Still doesn't stop it from being submitted. I could make a brand new account from an IP I've never used before and you'd never be able to trace it back to my main account.
I am also a game maker Denvish and I disagree with your assessment that we should be able to change the file any time we want to. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. I have also made modifications to my files weeks after submission (e.g. to properly compress the audio on GCPP) but that is a feature that I would gladly give up if it meant a chance to prevent this type of loophole from being used to abuse the portal.
I think the individual that posted that file last night was trying to send a message to NG in hopes that we would improve the system. And I do think it's time we improve the system somehow, even if it's not the improvement I had in mind / have been suggesting for months.
