The animation bbs is littered with self-promotion.

Anyways, although short, the animation was pretty smooth; try and make them longer (though that will require dedication).

Stop trying to hamster views on your YT account. Tyvm.

Bad pun intended
'Cause I can.

900 views!? Crappy animation usually only garners about 200 views.

but i learned how to fix that with consuming most of the time with useless actions and 30 fps rate so if you just began animating fix this fault before it's too late by being slower in movement

What? I can't even begin to comprehend. So... You have to take things more steadily when beginning?

Anime catches a lot of flack because of the low frame rates and choppiness, but i feel nowadays that's less of a budgetary thing and more of an aesthetic.

I always noticed the low frame-rate in Pokemon, but it's not applicable to the entire genre.

Dominoes Pizza.Much better.

I agree, Pizza Hut underuses cheese. Dominoes is more well-rounded, even if it's more pricier.

French. No.

Learing a language is great, even if it is repetitive and boring, but why french? I want to learn something I'd value, like spanish, japanese or german. Not french, never french.

Unnecessarily Long Code Challenge Posted September 6th, 2014 in General

Since, the programming bbs is mostly aimed at troubleshooting code, I thought I'd post this here.

What is the most convoluted, inflated, and unnecessarily long piece of code you can write with everything still being essential for the code to work?

Note: Use any language you like.

Response to: Do you think Minecraft sucks? Posted September 5th, 2014 in Video Games

The graphics do not suck, the resolution is whatever you make the window size. If you don't like the pixel-ness of it, then you dislike the design. Otherwise, I find minecraft fun yet repetetive, so I can't play singleplayer for long periods of time.

I'm not an animator, but I've been watching flash tutorials for ages, so even though I haven't animated I still got inspired to. Pivot was the first program I used, I remember downloading gun add-ons, fun times.

This is why I know OP is not a professional software developer -- because if he was he would have immediately known about that very important point because he would have participated in that cycle many many times already.

Can confirm am OP.

My thoughts are you are not a game developer nor a programmer nor do you have any knowledge whatsoever of game development or the software development cycle. And if you claim you are either I'm calling BS on that.

If game testers aren't useful, as you claim, then explain why all the very top game development studios have used them since forever? All the big names use game testers. *ALL* of them.

Dude, why the heck do you thing I asked the question, I wasn't sure and asked people what their importance is, It wasn't a statement.

At 8/30/14 03:24 PM, Bit wrote: I don't think you know what game testers actually do.

Game testers play the game. They play it again. They try every weird combination of things that they can think of. They try to break through the boundaries of every map. They attempt to cheat every puzzle and break through every wall. They look to exploit every enemy and discover every duping glitch. They kill an NPC who shouldn't be killed; they throw a quest item into lava. They do things that no normal gamer would do.

They don't just play the game for laughs. They abuse it. They call it naughty names. They make the game feel worthless. Only when the game has been attacked from every angle is the game tester's job done. Only when they have done every conceivably possible action that could happen to a player.

Wow, I didn't know that, thanks for the great answer. This actually make's their part seem substantial. Thanks again, I guess I should think more of Game Testers.

I've tried to make a preloader to load a game, and it works perfectly when I use CTRL + ENTER using Adobe Flash Professional CS6 but when I export the preloader and I start it, it doesn't load the external SWF. I don't know what's going on, this is very strange.
Another thing I wanna ask is, how can I upload that preloader + the game here on newgrounds? That sounds like a stupid question but actually I don't know how to do that, it's the first time I use a preloader... Can I upload two files or I need the combine both, if I need to combine them, how can I do it?
Thanks :)

You can upload .swf, .fla and a variety of files at: http://www.newgrounds.com/dump

Oh, I get it, like how most glitches occur when doing things you're not supposed to, so the dev would act like: 'Pfft, why would I go there'. Thanks.
