I have a form of asthma too and yeah, I could agree the smog can be easy to get used to for some people. I've been to Shanghai, which is totally ridden with smog, but I learned to get used to it. The few days I spent in LA County, the smog wasn't too bad, but then again it was cloudy.
new york city is just a smell you can never get used to and navigating the city is a nightmare
What does it smell like exactly?
in la you can easily take a rental and see the city (highway system is pretty decent - almost as good as DFW)
you won't be so lucky in nyc
Makes sense. Also, NYC isn't known for having a lot of natural beauty nearby, but there may be some pretty beaches around. Central Park might be nice. However LA has a lot of mountains nearby, and a pretty coastline. Also, you can't beat having Big Bear Mountains.

new york city is a fucking mess
And LA isn't? Even though LA has a lot of good things going for it, it is one of the smoggiest cities in the country, and probably is the #1 smoggiest. It has one of the worst public transportation systems in the country, while NYC has an excellent one. LA has a higher crime rate than NYC.
LA has awesome weather though.
They're the two largest cities in the US, and many people who want to live in a big city will always ask themselves which is the better city for living and starting a new life. Those would be New York City and Los Angeles. Both cities are big, cosmopolitan, expensive, and unpredictable. Both cities have their pros and cons.
I was talking about this the other day, and people who have traveled to both seem to prefer New York.
NYC has a lot of historical landmarks and culture, while Los Angeles generally lacks in this. NYC is known for Broadway, while LA is known for Hollywood. NYC is known for its famous pizza, while LA is known for arguably the best Mexican food you can find outside of Mexico. NYC has Times Square, while LA has the Staples Center. LA has Santa Monica and Venice Beach, while NYC has Coney Island. LA has UCLA, while NYC has Columbia University.
Which one do you prefer?
Also, a football player named Roddy White made a tweet saying that the jurors in the verdict should kill themselves after what they did. Yes, he really said that on his own Twitter. The next day he apologized for it and was all like "well I was just so angry about the lack of JUSTICE."
Reactions from celebs on Twitter:
Lil Wayne: "kame bak to my bus and saw da news...ain't shit change, and I may never get to see it do so. I pray 4my kids & yours."
Kim Kardashian: "My heart goes out to Trayvon Martin's family & loved ones. Thoughts & prayers are being sent their way. #NoJustice."
Meek Mill: "A black life is not worth anything in this country."
Rihanna: "This is the saddest news ever!!! #whatsjustice"
Do people even take these people seriously?
What the hell is up with that state? I hope it disconnects from Mainland US and drifts off into the sea and then crashes into Cuba and then blows up.
Have there been any celebrities (aside from politicians, who aren't really celebrities) that said Zimmerman was right and the verdict was right in publicly, online, or anything? It seems like the only rappers, pop stars, or famous musicians from the US that said anything on Twitter or anywhere about the case, were disappointed in the verdict and thought Trayvon totally didn't deserve it and that Zimmerman is a horrible individual.
I heard someone say on a Canadian site say that the American celebrities who are highly disappointed in the verdict are "anti-Americans" who express hatred towards the laws of our country, and hate this country.
I've known of Washu for a long time, since 2005, here on NG, and I have no idea what country he's from. The way he spells things in English strange, so I just assumed he's from some random country in Europe like Romania, or Russia.
If you think that sentence was harsh, a 14-year-old boy got a 70-year prison sentence for attempted first degree murder, aggravated battery, and armed robbery. He shot and wounded a man, who did not suffer serious injuries. Link

No, committing murder is usually not 15 years, unless maybe it's second degree. Premeditated murder is usually: life in prison without parole, death penalty (if the state allows it), or life in prison without parole after 25 years. I don't think there are many states in the US that have punishments for 1st degree murder less than 25-to-life, or 25 years in general.
However, 2nd-degree murder can warrant a sentence of 15-to-life in some states. In some states, such as Massachusetts, it may be 25-to-life. In some states, like Texas, it may be several years to 20 years for 2nd-degree murder.
Attempted murder can sometimes be punished as long as 50 years in some states, such as Indiana or Florida. If a gun is used, the punishment is far more severe.

Stevie Wonder is boycotting Florida and will never play there again until the "stand-your-ground law" is abolished. In fact, he will avoid performing in any place that has a stand-your-ground law like Florida's.

Speaking of alts, I have a ton of them. IAmCrystalHeights, PigletsMemories, ChillAsIce, BrotherBear, Mmoouussee, blazedhedghg743 (it's not my account but somebody gave me the password and I posted on it), TumpDoggie, Fuck-You-Pbot, and a bunch of other ones nobody has really heard about. I just got sick of the names or forgot the password.
I also used to have a lot of alternate accounts associated with the Barney Bunch, but they're long gone now.

So you have nothing to do with Sekhem, despite the fact you post in the same style, the same type of content, and always respond to each other immediately in threads. Not to mention, Sekhem has a history of using alt accounts, like SKHM.
Also, one time when I jokingly said "Se--" to address you, you used your supposed Sekhem account to say "were you gonna say Sekhem?"
Not that I give a damn or anything, but I found it cute and interested how you apparently have all these accounts acting as your apparent alter egos.

Did what? Did something that made me think you're one of the best posters.
You do know there are different types of "special ed?" There are "special ed" programs for kids who have Asperger's syndrome and are very smart but socially inept and have a hard time getting along with students. I would know, I have Asperger's, but I grew out of it. There also special ed programs for gang member-type students who come from ghettos who have a low capability of reading and writing. Then there's the Down Syndrome and severely autistic kids, which you are picturing in your mind.
"Special ed" is a very misused term.

If you hate SoCal, you should move to Oregon. Most people who hate LA and are from there move to Oregon and love the life up there. Beautiful scenery, no smog or dirty air, people are usually friendly, and good food.
The only good thing about it is that you can look at pictures of attractive peeps. It's also cool to re-connect with people you haven't met in a while.
But I agree, FB is kinda shitty. I hardly use it.

I agree with you on that. Norway has a fantastic prison system. Prison sentences are rather very lenient there, and they actually REHABILITATE criminals.

Anyone that thinks California (mainly LA) is the place to be has never lived here or seen a bunch of fucked up people. Though I'm sure fucked up people are everywhere, we have a lot of them here.
..Southern California, as I said. Southern California gives my state a bad name, and I live in NorCal. While there's assholes and crazy shit in Northern California too, the people here are way more laid back, less materialistic, and the cities are cleaner and there's beautiful nature here.
LA is just a disorganized and filthy city. It has some nice qualities, but for the most part, it isn't a good place to live unless you're filthy rich. However, the rich people in LA are probably the snootiest people in the country. San Diego is nice, though.

NorCal is better. Less crowded, more nature and wildlife, better cities, cleaner, less assholes. San Diego and Irvine are the only decent places in Southern California.

He entirely deserves to have his life ruined, 50 years isn't even that absurd
I would agree to some extent. However, if any juvenile deserves 50 years, it's this girl. She was 15 when she stabbed two girls at random at her high school in 2011. She did not even know who the girls were, yet she stabbed them over 10 times. One of them was critically injured. The most disgusting thing is, the useless piece of shit was never remorseful, and she even still made threats about wanting to blow up an elementary school, wanting to torture people, and wished that her victims had died, even after the stabbing happened. She was considered to be extremely mentally ill, and was only sentenced to 13 years of prison.
At least Treacy, while disturbed, seemed to have showed remorse.

Keep in mind, 20 years was the most lenient sentence they handed down to him. He could have faced up to 50 YEARS for that. I know what he did was heinous, but 50 YEARS is absurd. He'd be in his late 60s if he got out on that sentence. But now he won't be getting out until he's in his late 30s.

Though honestly, I'm not entirely certain that factor makes any difference. It's kind of hard to tell what happens here because there's a bunch of trees that hide everything.
Well what I meant was if you were on a reservation, regardless of being Native or not. However, I would agree it would be comfortable being around your "own people" who make up the vast majority of the population of your surroundings.
However, how were you able to live on a rez? Just curious.

It's really not that special.
Are you Native, or in an engagement with someone who is?
