I suppose they exist because somebody thought it was a good idea.

Now, as for what some people like to think what the Boy Scouts are, I suppose a wholesome, Christian, environment where boys learn to do survival stuff.

You might want to reconsider that decision. Before vaccines 5-10% of people who contracted Polio died from it and 20-60% of those who contracted Smallpox died from it. If you scale that up to the current population of the world we're talking about billions of people.

So lets say for example no one gets any vaccines, like you suggest. Let's also assume that the death rates remain constant. That means that, at best your child has a 1 in 10 chance of surviving if they get Polio and a 1 in 5 chance of surviving Smallpox. By the way, there are a whole bunch of other diseases too, covered by vaccines that have various death rates associated with them.

On the other hand your child would has a 1 in 100 chance of getting some kind of Autism. We don't even know how much of that has to do with chemicals like Aluminum Adjuvants and how much of that is just environmental and thus not really preventable. Also, unlike most of those diseases that had vaccines developed for them you don't die of Autism.

So what you're saying is you rather have your child have a 1 in 5 chance of dying of Polio, Smallpox, or some other disease prevented by vaccines if you could prevent them from having a 1 in 100 chance of getting Autism. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

I wasn't saying anything about vaccines or chemicals at all. I was more saying that if I had to take a choice between my child having polio or my child having autism, I would choose polio. Because if the kid has autism, he might as well be dead. I guess that's pretty horrible of me, huh?

Response to: Phone Call from Adam Lanza Posted September 7th, 2014 in General

I think I sort of get the point he was trying to make with that Travis The Chimp story. The society that we've created is so strenuous and unnatural for us that we see a high rate of violence and mental illness, and that society doesn't acknowledge this or question it as much as it should. We're still largely biologically unchanged from ten thousand years ago, right? We're still animals, pretending to be civilized. If we were truly civilized, things wouldn't be as dysfunctional and volatile as they are.

Maybe he was right, maybe he wasn't. But the media never really looks at any of these shooters and others as people, just stories. They ask, "Why?" but they don't really want to find out the reason. They don't do this with suicide cases, terrorists, shooters, and murderers. These people aren't the cause of society's problems, they're the symptoms.

It just doesn't suit me. I would donate half or more.
I bet if you ever win the lottery you won't be saying the same thing. I've been broke before, and I mean, FUCKING BROKE. I would feel entirely justified in not donating a penny of it to anyone or anything. That goes for family, friends, charity, and anything else.
It would be disgusting if I kept it for myself.
How do you figure? It's your money, how is it "disgusting" to have plenty of money? I call that pretty fucking awesome.
All I would really want would be 25$ million or less.
I'll gladly take the other 75 off of your hands. I'm sure everyone on this forum would.

Have fun getting fucked out of that imaginary money, bub. Everyone thinks you're the greatest guy in the world as soon as you have a nice big pile of money behind you. I've seen plenty of people with cash get absolutely fucked out of everything by their supposed friends, and partners. The only friends you should keep if you ever do come into any wealth are the ones you already have before you "made it big".
and have seven or eight kids with.
Are you fucking high? Seven or eight? Two, fine, even fucking four at a PUSH, but SEVEN OR EIGHT? Jesus Fucking Christ. If your whore wife doesn't screw you out of your cash, your kids will likely fucking murder you before you throw away their inheritance. I know I would.

Despite the fact that I'd have fun with 10 million, and sit on the rest from a personal standpoint, I'm not that much of an idiot with money. Out of the 10 mil I'd probably only get through four, maybe six at the most. I'd not need a large house, and a second hand McLaren MP4-12C is only about 150,000 or so in the UK as far as I know. So I'd be left with pretty much everything I started with anyway.

That's my autistic rant over with.

I know what having a dysfunctional family is like. Why do you think that I would donate the vast majority of my fortune, aside from my conscious? That amount of money would make me uncomfortable. And not every woman out there is terrible, I refuse to believe that. I like to think that I won't run away from what I want just because it might turn out badly. I've done that far too much in my life already and I have to make up for that. But maybe I'm just a dumb faggot and you're right about everything. Who knows?

You finish your popcorn/candy/whatever in the first 5 minutes and the whole while you cant hear shit because your munching is louder than the movie.

Also movie theater food is expensive as all hell. (When I go I usually sneak food in because I cant afford 17 dollar popcorn) (but then again I never usually eat for the aforementioned reasons)

Anyway what are your thoughts on this?

I pretty much agree. You just sit there trying to make the food last and you can't hear the film as well as you would if you weren't chewing. It's also annoying when people are chewing food all around you.

I don't really go to theaters unless I have to. They're usually dirty and expensive as hell. I'll go if it's a clean theater, though.

I would rather have a child with polio or smallpox because at least they have some kind of chance at living a decent life. Autistic people generally don't. Same goes for a kid with Downs Syndrome or retardation. If I knew very early on through a screening test that my child had Downs Syndrome, though I don't want to even think about this, I might decide to abort the child if my wife agreed. I wouldn't want to raise a child that I might come to resent or regret, a child that will never truly be able to live a fulfilling life. It's depressing to consider.
