It appears that I have managed to once again disappear for a while, but I shall chalk this up to it being necessary as I had more pressing matters at hand. Nevertheless I have once again returned for however long it shall be this time, although I may disappear again within the next 2 weeks as the AP exams have come around. That being said I noticed that I received an interesting bit of mail during March, this interesting note was an invitation to the Art Portal. Needless to say I accepted it as soon as I logged on today, I felt a strong sense of accomplishment as I clicked it and was filled with a need to create something to commemorate the event. Thus ladies and gentlemen I present you with what has been a long time in coming, the Gmoose.

Well it appears that you seem to have conflicting light sources and the way the character is presented make it look kind of flat, my recommendation is that you look into proportions and shading techniques, as well as looking around you to see how the light reflects and appears on things.

You could totally go for something like an angel that when looked at closely looks like a cadaver, just to freak people out .
That or a peanut butter jelly sandwich within a dancing banana.

Looks pretty good although the upper lip seems to kind of stand out there.

Also I'm not entirely sure that we're supposed to advertise whether or not you're unscouted and want to get scouted, which seems whats happening with the title but I'm not sure so if it is false disregard this.

Awesome!
I will never stop adoring this pic never!
Mind if i use it for profile pic?

Sure go right ahead, what's the point of making art if you don't want it displayed right?

Int the future when we hope to get big, paying is what we hope to do, but not until we get big like Yogscast. If you don't know what Minecraft is we don't mind you doing the work, but we prefer someone who knows what Minecraft is.

You know you should probably give some kind of hint as to what you want the art to look like, unless you want to wind up with something completely different from what you wanted, then again it is going to have to be free.

Happy Slappy looks really really flat, you should probably look into shading and proportions.

I like this one. It's simple but pretty good. You should keep practicing digital art but keep your traditional work also.

Thanks, and yeah I'm doing both although I feel like I've gotten better at traditional but I don't have any of my other drawings with me. I've also been trying to work on buying a Bamboo tablet but I'm broke for at least 2 more weeks.

Also 3rd page YES!

How does this keep happening??? Ok it seems I may have forgotten to come back after I posted that previous content as the semester started back up, and I was really busy, but now luckily I'm on a 4 day weekend so Mwahahaha! I'll try to not get busy with life for a while anyways here's a background I made. It was originally for this logo I made this one guy but I don't think he's gonna use it so I figured you guys can have yourselves a nice wallpaper to look at. Full size version of it is I think in my Art submissions, yup.

I kind of liked the first simpler polished logo that the other guy made but Gmoose has put in some more effort from what I can tell.

I concur with both statements.

I would stick with Pencil and Paper until you can get your proportions more to a point of satisfaction before you start adding color

Also, work on shading, you seemed to have completely forgotten it in this piece.

Thanks, and my mouse kept on slipping so any attempt I made at shading only made it worse, but I'll keep that in mind for my next one.

This is hardly an excuse. I did most of my drawings in school and never had any problems. You don't have to make a new piece every time, just work on it during recess, lunch breaks, add to the same drawing piece by piece.
I'd like to say that drawing art for the sake of comments is no way to go, but that'd be a lie. We're all here because we enjoy the attention that our work brings. Right now though, I just feel you're pumping out sketches you barely put any effort into and expect in-depth critique.
I mean, most of your drawings aren't very polished or elaborate, and thus not very impressive.
It's hard to critique something that looks like someone's bored lunch-break scribblings.
Put a few hours into a single drawing, really push yourself.
You'll get comments proportional to your effort and skill.

I don't mean to sound rude, but when i said that i took maybe 1 hour its because that's the most time I can get, assuming that I'm not busy in one of my classes, since the school I attend is very demanding of my time. And it may seem like I pump out sketches but all of those I didn't make at one time, I just happened to upload them at almost the same time, so I'll be sure to space out the time interval between my drawings, and I'll also make an attempt at polishing some of my earlier drawings.
