It's to prevent people like DrunkJoe 420BongBlaze from walking into it and getting high and converting it and the restaurant (and possibly even the Chinese man himself) into a shithole.

Response to: Need Good Deoderant Recommendations Posted June 5th, 2014 in General

Shave/trim your armpit hair, use some hand sanitizer / antibacterial soap / rubbing alcohol (cheap disinfectant) on them and then put any type of deodorant there, or just use some bar soap. Your armpits will smell good and be clean, in under a few minutes. Also the rubbing alcohol will evaporate in under a minute, so it won't feel wet too long.

Although shaving/trimming your armpit hair WILL make your sweat drip and thus make your armpits feel wet later, so you might want to balance discomfort with less stink there.

This. I think it's more the rich people who indulge in BD/SM because they may not like being in power (hence delegating it to dominatrixes and being submissive) and things like stress management yadda yadda. But how does that explain kink? BD/SM isn't really so kinky AFAIK unless vanilla's the standard.

Definitely. 1080p is leaving; 4K is the future.
Maybe that is a drastic example, but there definitely diminishing returns with 4K video. Marketers would have us believe that our eyes have infinite resolution, but that is not the case. 4K is not yet cheap enough to invest in without considering usage.

And 4K TV will not become mainstream unless the technology for things like bandwidth caps and internet speed also increase massively, because wave goodbye to your bandwidth cap / fast internet if you view even one or two films on 4K TV, streamed from the internet.

If this were 2004 and I had the mind of a 7 year old, I'd have been very, very jelly of you. But it isn't.
I had 2 packs of Yu-gi-oh cards with me, and I used to play it a lot "back in the days". And I'd have called you either ignorant or a moron since you said you didn't know how to play / duel with it, but then I realized that I used to do the same thing with Pokemon cards and figurines. Had the whole set, didn't do jack with it except throw some discs around and play Yu-gi-oh instead.

I heard there was a PC card game though. You had an option to "scan" your deck into the game, and by scan I mean you enter the little serial numbers near the bottom right corner (of the card or the picture, I forget) and then play with that deck.

Thoughts on Arch Linux, and/or Linux in general?

Not really since I'm a Microfanboi, sorry.

But I did use Linux once on my school computers. Can't say it was too different from other OSes, at least on the surface. Then again, the "free and open source" software that Linux promotes isn't too appealing to me since it wouldn't seem like there are a lot of things out there for Linux...

If you're still in (high)school, try doing as many previous-year papers as you can. It's how I got B to A grades in my previous year. Even more so if they have mark-schemes that tell you where you went wrong or right.

Response to: Writer's Guild of Newgrounds (New!) Posted May 31st, 2014 in Writing

1) Your Pen Name for Newgrounds (This will be what we call you within our workshops and group conversations)

Gimmick

2) Type of Writing Preferred (Novels, Screenplays, Video Games, all, etc.)

No specific type as of yet. Although I do tend to like writing in the genre sorta-fantasy.

3) Past Experience (List all of your past works whether unpublished or published. *Please note if they have been finished)

Ehhh....a couple of 700-word "chapters" written for my English exam a year ago, but I doubt that's experience. So, none.

4) Your greatest strength and weakness.

I'm pretty weak at things like reviews of things like books/movies/etcetera and English isn't my first language. I also tend to procrastinate a bit ._.

Please quote this line in your reply.

I'd need more info. What exactly makes your friends say "He thinks he's all that"? Are you an asshole? Are you just insecure? Are you shy? Are you (inadvertently) a jerk, imposing views, or any dickish move?
Or if you're not doing any of those, get better friends. Remember that quote by R P Feynman:

What do you care what other people think?
assuming their sayings aren't justified
