Programming?

Just curious, when people are looking for programmers to collaborate with, are they generally just looking for people who know like AS and flash game programming? Or do people ever need java/C++/C# programmers to work with? Because I'm honestly just more interested in learning those languages than the ones needed for flash games, and I was wondering if I could ever find any work on NG when I do learn them.
