The identity confusion is killin' my buzz here. #;-}>
I just wondered how many posts from gfox it would take to reach 0.01 per day. You're a bigger stat whore than me, so you work it out :P

Oh, well, if that's all you want to know, then yeah, I'll just work it out sometime. This is assuming that NG's profiles don't have wonky rounding when it comes to the ppd stat, though (which sometimes I think they kinda do... I remember that back in the day I used to use my ppd to find my "days on NG," and of course the number wasn't very consistent due to the ppd not going to enough significant digits).

Anyway, just look at my ppd for gfoxclock, and you should get a good idea. Divide gfoxclock's postcount by his "ppd units," and you should have how many posts gfox needs for 0.01 ppd, if that makes any sense. Hell, I'll do it now:

he's got 236 posts and 0.11 ppd. So 21.45 posts per ppd unit. I'd guess it'd take at least 15-20 posts minimum for gfox to get a 0.01 ppd. It's hard without knowing exactly where within "0.11" gfoxclock is, of course.

If you really care, go find my "days of account life" stats on NG log and boom, you're golden. #;-}>

Well, that's your own fault. You've obviously been planning this for a while and as a result, you couldn't let excruciating pain stand in the way of your hard earned, easily spent moneys!

Well, it's more that I didn't want her to know I was in pain during my proposal to her until afterwards. Didn't want to ruin it for her. ;_;

Anyway, she's not big on ceremony. It was my idea to do the proposal 1 year to the day before our wedding date, she wouldn't care when it was, in fact she was all "baaaaahhhh, you don't need to get me an engagement ring, we're pretty much already engaged." She woulda been fine had I just gotten matching wedding bands (which I did as well). But I found a really nice silver ring with a celtic knot on top that would be more of a "central/top dealie like engagement rings tend to stereotypically have a jewel of some sort atop, most stereotypically a nice African blood diamond, of course"... versus the perfectly round/same-width-all-around wedding bands for both of us....

And so you should. You're (nearly) a married man now!

FUNK DAT! I'mma suffer through it. HIGH PAIN TOLERANCE WIN.

And finally, thanks for the lv42 alt alt grats, folks. The fact that all of you said "gfox" means I don't have to EVER EVER POST WITH GFOX. Mwahahahah. Coop's regretting not putting "gfoxcook" on that line of his grats list now, I guarantee you all. #;-}>
Wait, what?

Well, you'd made your comment about how gfox had his level 42ness but the damned bastard never posts. And that bit earlier you replied to in this post where I kinda said "hmmm, maybe I should announce my gfoxclock achievements with gfoxclock and my gfox achievements with gfox, thereby finally posting with gfox... to avoid the confusion that people sometimes mix up my account names.".... but then no one confused gfox with gfoxcook like they confused gfoxclock with gfoxcook (probably just due to name character-length).... so gfox seems free and clear in the "not needing to post EVAR" department. #;-}>

Had you put gfoxcook "accidentally" instead of gfox when congratting my alt alt on level 42, then the perfect record my gratters had on that level 42 congrats woulda been shattered, and I couldn't point to that and say... woot! Free and clear.

That had nothing to do with how much sleep I got, man. It was due to compiling all the quotes (and some of my replies to them) previously, saving them in notepad, and then pasting them into NG BBS. I NO HAZ TO CONFORM TO YOUR STANDARDS OF "ACTIVE," MOFOS. #>:-{>

I'm active compared to how INactive I was in 2005-2007, trust me on this. I CAN GO BACK TO THAT if this level of participation is being ignored. #;-}>

As for getting to you at some point... you've got to stop thinking of NG participation as an on/off switch. It's not a binary pair. It's not either active or inactive. It's a giant gradient scale from the "perfect non-participation" and the impossibly-infinite participation... with shades of grey in between. Everyone fluctuates up and down in their activity amounts. If the level you're at gets to be "too much" or "gets to you" or whatever, then just dial it down. As I have in various ways (portal and BBS-wise and modding-wise as well, I suppose) over the years at multiple times. Yet still I'm here. You don't have to leave completely to reduce yer time spent here/stats collected. Just try slow reduction in both departments before you shut it all off at once. Wish more people would try that slow reduction first... ;_;

People who used to be active when I first came here too, like X-Naut (the imposter ;P), Casualty, Shanus, Sterockicy, and others (who I can't remember right now) have all disappeared too. At least some of you guys are still here, and by the looks of it we have a lot of fresh blood around too.
Some names on that list I'd completely forgotten about. I only ever remember X-Naut when I do a Saves or Blams update (By the way, rain is forecast for tomorrow, so I'll try to get the saves done then, I promise) and Shanus was tied in quite majorly to the Review Request Club. Other than that, it made me think what mark I've left on Newgrounds as a whole. Not much, so I'd better do more!

I miss BOTH X-Nauts. Sad, I know.

Is your current connection speed really 36k? ay-yi-yi.... ;_;

Then again, at my parents' house out in the countryside, they can only get 23k or so on a 56k modem, due to the crappy phone lines and the distance to the dialed number being used to connect to the internet, so.... 36k > 23k, at least. #;-}>

I was gonna reply to that part of his post and say "Steam is all the store you need!" but then I reread the start of his post, and when he talked about the free TF2 weekend, he mentioned that once it was over, he couldn't keep playing because he no haz teh credit cards.

So he's trying to find it in a brick & mortar store to buy it with cash, presumably, since he has no credit cards.

Sir Nuts, if there's no stores there in Brazil near you that seem to have TF2 or the Orange Box (you did know it comes in that, right? Maybe you've been seeing that at various computer game/software stores and just didn't know it had TF2 in it? ... I kinda hope this is the case, since it'll mean you can pick it up real soon! #;-}>).... I might also suggest trying to find it (in the Orange Box, or by itself, whichever... but Orange Box is a great investment--7 games for 1 price, never more than 2x the cost of TF2 on its own, from what I've seen) on a website (maybe amazon.com?) that offers payment methods other than just credit card. Maybe there's a (reputable) site out there that'll ship you the Orange Box if you write 'em a check? Or if you have no bank account, then turn your cash into a money order? They do that at Post Offices here in the US, dunno where you'd have to go in Brazil.

Also, I second Bahamut's "wish you'd let us know you were gonna play on the free weekend" thought, Sir Nuts.... woulda been neat to break yer TF2 cherry among friends!

And lastly: what's your Steam username? Even if you'll only be playing TF2 on free weekends for the foreseeable future, that's still better than nothing. Let me and Bahamut know it either here or privately via PM, and we'll friend ya!

'twas unclear to me which of the above you meant because Coop seemed to indicate that either Nijsse or biteme wrecked their perfect retirement numbers.... once I hit MY 2nd set of perfect retirement numbers, I shant be wrecking it. Evar. I've made it.... nearly 4 years without gaining a single blam on this account, why would I ever screw up... ever? I did wonder about that before I retired at 24k/36k, but my track record has set even my paranoid OCD mind at ease about future things.

Using opera ONLY for gfoxcook and using firefox ONLY for gfoxclock/gfox helps a lot, and it's why I started that system when I retired in October '05. If I ever make a mistake, it'll be getting a save or blam for gfox by accident instead of gfoxclock, and that I can live with. The only reason I don't b/p for gfox is that I need to blam for gfoxclock and save for gfoxcook, but once I retire my main at twin 36ks, I won't mind the occasional accidental sharing between my two alts. #;-}>

And if you meant how long will it take me to get to retirement... well, not too long. I was predicting 2010 some time ago (mid-2008 or so), but based on how close I am now, and if Clock Day '09 is as good for me as the last two CDs were, then I can see myself getting there even before 2010 hits. Quick note: damnit, I had saved posts 1, 2, and 3 in a text file earlier... and then reopened them to finish the catch-up... I believe notepad put in linebreaks where my window size is.... which causes the damned LINE WRAP ON NG to fuck up. I've done this before, but I'm not sure I ever realised what the CAUSE was. Today, finally, I realise what happened. Yay.

Not only did my own words get messed up, but so did quotes (which I can't remember if that happened the last few times this happened or not)... There's a chunk of Coop's post in catch-up 2 that isn't quoted... and there's a chunk of someone else's post that isn't quoted in catch-up 3. After a "+" in the text, IIRC. etc. etc. ANYWAY...

Me that's who expect we will probably donate our accounts when we are 43 years old to a young 10 year old statwhore. Well I have missed 3 ,I think, this year and its not even 1/2 over so you could be gaining on me big time, oh well I am gonna make the Top 50 if I can pass figemtum. I predict.

Me that's who expect? O_o... I'm gonna assume you meant "That's who I expect... we will etc. etc.".... but I'm not absolutely sure.

Do you think ol' Mistah James will be your final pass BEFORE you hit #50, though? Are you actually claiming you'll be #51 to his #50 and then FATALITY him all over the cobblestones of NG's exp road? #;-}>

Oh, I see now. Still, 25 isn't that effective considering it's not a prime number.
Oh and I contrar 35 is 5 (prime) times 7 (prime) it is a primetime number boy.

But two primes multiplied together are no longer offensive to me, except in that they thus always produce an odd number, which means the resulting number is... odd after all, and by gfox definition... not as good as even numbers. But nothing exceptionally horrible about them as a matter of course.

35's a solid number. One of the better odds. But still in my bottom half of numbers, yes. It'd have to be. It's odd. #;-}>

The real question is which EVEN numbers are in my bottom half of numbers (since there are some odd numbers, like 25, or say 1111, or 12345, or such... falling under my category #1 of the above post, pushing out a few of my least fave even numbers from the top 50% of all numbers).

Then you don't know gfox well enough. ;_;
I know him well enough he is a Houston Rockets fan wait I hope they beat the 76ers, my Pistons lost in the first round to Lebron James, first time Detroit didn't get into the Eastern Conference finals.

Why would the Rockets have been playing the 76ers, anyway? O_o

I just wish the Rockets had beaten the Lakers. So close to another title. Oh well. Doesn't hurt anywhere near as bad as the year the Cardinals won the World Series (the Astros nearly passed them for the division/a postseason ticket in September of 2006... and had they done so, I have complete confidence they would have beaten the same teams the Cardinals beat that year, and won the WS the year after they made it to the WS but lost to the ChiSox, which would have been epic).

I plan to count medals, not medal points.
okay, I don't think they should be counted, imho.
No, medals makes it more fairer while medal points would have been chaotic.
Uh okay I said that because I don't have any well I am around 50 so it will be like a small flash review boost just as audio reviews are so is Byteslinger going to logify them.

I don't care to count either medals OR medal points in with all the other stats, personally, but since I don't make lists anymore, my word is not even partial law.

That said, as a list appreciater, my vote's for counting just medals themselves, not points.

Probably because I'm a bigger fan of Steam achievements (where you just get achievements, and the total # of them is what you can see as a stat) more than I am of MS Windows Live/Xbox Live achievements, where not only is there the achievement count, but that silly ol' Gamerscore.

Medal points count is too much like Gamerscore, and as such I don't care for it too much, other than not wanting my total to sit at 3700 or something in the future.

Oh and I contrar 35 is 5 (prime) times 7 (prime) it is a primetime number boy.
Multiplying numbers and such doesn't really work on gfox.

If by "doesn't really work" you mean "doesn't carry the negative shit about the numbers forward to affect the product of two numbers being multiplied, for example"... then yes, indeed.

After he is done I will give my Nihont%u014Ds to him when I get the scythe soon.

I have no idea what iscrulz meant exactly due to the weird crap there (looks like trying to paste in characters that NG doesn't support in its text), but Nihon means Japan, and I'd assume the word he used has something to do with Japan or Japanese... something.

Hey now. I resemble that comment. Especially since 2/24 (the Scout update date).
And, like you said in a latter comment, ~550 hours of playtime and counting. Will you reach 1000 hours of playtime until the end of the year?

Oh, long before then, I'm sure.

... Unless you meant my first year having the game by "the year," in which case no, I doubt I'll be to 1000 by June 30th (when I got the Orange Box, though I didn't start playing TF2 till a

few days later in early July, I was too busy with Portal the first couple o' nights). But if you meant by end of 2009, then definitely.

I vowed to never let that happen again, and the safest way to assure it was to stop posting on General ENTIRELY instead of just... mostly. #;-}>
It's a good strategy. =P Although General needs more people like you.

General had plenty of them (AND MANY OTHER GOOD VARIETALS), back in 2003-2004.

"WOE BE TO THE PRESENT, FOR IT CANNOT COMPETE WITH THE PAST IN THE HUMAN HEART." -- Me, AFAIK.

Yeah, but not many many regs from 2003 are still active nowadays at all. And that number is even lower when it comes to alts.

Well, the top 50 exp list says there's plenty of people from BEFORE 2003 that are still depositing. Unless by active you meant "doing more than just depositing."

Otherwise, I'd already be in the top 50, instead of sitting at #51, waiting for my shot at the big show. Or hell, maybe the top 10 by now. O_o

I don't use that smiley on NG at all, but I do use it on other sites. And yeah, it's one of the greatest smileys of all time, paired with #;-}>

I don't use =D on NG *OR* on other sites personally, but I enjoy seeing others use it. It doesn't get used enough. ;_;

Catching up is pretty. Catching up is good!

It the first song of the first album of a certain band, beginning with "F". ;)

Foo Fighters?

What's that? Didn't see my multiquote replies? I guess they went by so damned fast... they appeared invisible. Oh well, them's the breaks!
You've ashamed me.
Aw. ;_;
Well, I'm not ashamed anymore. =P

Yay, it wore off quick!

So, from now on, you're going to quote every single post, even the ones where you wouldn't have anything to say/add? O_O

Well, I could do that to ramble even more, yes. Or I could just ramble twice as long to every post I already reply to, yanno. Either way, it's gonna be ugly. AND YOU SHALL BE THE ONE

TO REAP THE BLAME. Mwahahaha.

Oh my, what have I done? I BROKE GFOX! ;_;

Don't worry, it was just a hypothetical nightmare scenario, it didn't actually happen. BUT DON'T EVEN TEMPT FATE, MAN! We shall never speak of this again.

Yeah, that would be really hard. But do you have any plans on reaching 20K posts, making you a 4x20K stat-wise?

Sure, eventually. No rush, though. Statwise, I'd rather get to 1k reviews at some point, actually, so I could finally be 5x1k.

I will, whenever I get a better computer for my use only. Which isn't likely to happen. =(

Well, you said TF2 ran for you, and you played all weekend, though it was "laggy." Was it laggy like playing online games back in the 90s on dial-up phone line connections was laggy?

Or laggy in a "the framerate isn't high enough to really enjoy this" laggy?

There's plenty of games on Steam far less demanding on computers than TF2, also. So... anyway, you're already on Steam if you played TF2 for free, so you HAVE indeed joined the

collective. WELCOME ABOARD, UNIT 11482!

Aye. That's Neutral Loyalty, brotha. DON'T YOU FORGET IT, zimzap.
Exactly. NEUTRAL FOREVER.

Heh.

Also, level 32 looks BITCHIN' with green, so you be smoking some serious crack. There are many many icons that don't look as good with green as all mostly-black weapons do. Black

+ green = golden.

LOL!

Actually, after I posted that, I think I looked at the icon and it's more grey than black. Still, either one looks nice with the green aura, IMO. I musta been thinking level 32's mace was closer

in colour to the pure black level 43 mace.

Indeed. That's the ONE time in the history of the universe where I'll admit that "37 isn't that bad," indeed. #;-}>
Historical landmark: gfox admits, for once, that 37 isn't that bad.

Indeed. MARK THIS DOWN, SCRIBES!

Oh, and considering gfoxclock will be level 44 very soon, gfox has to do his catch-ups very soon.

Here and now!

I will add some 43's too. 37 is 36 +1, so 25 is 24 +1 you see it now.
Oh, I see now. Still, 25 isn't that effective considering it's not a prime number.

Not only that, but I LIKE 25.

It's 5 squared. Remember how much I like squares.

There's four types of numbers, really, in my "gut reaction the moment I see a number" internal judgement-o-meter brain section:

1. squares, repeated digits, ascending/descending number clusters, cool things like that
2. even numbers
3. odd numbers
4. prime numbers (which are also odd, of course, so this is a detestable EVEN-LOWER subset of #3)

25 isn't even, but it's a square! So it's actually cooler than most "normal" even numbers. Mwahaha!

It's not a prime number. Therefore, it's ineffective.
It is truly effective because it balances out the 37 to a 36, prime or not.
Then you don't know gfox well enough. ;_;

Indeed. BAHAMUT WIN.

Also, 25 is a quarter of 100. What could be bad about that? 75 rocks due to being 3/4 of 100, even though it's odd AND not a square, actually. So my above 1,2,3,4 list is clearly

incomplete, but anyway... it's kinda #1 meets #3, which puts it below most #1 category numbers, probably on par with most #2s (evens in general).

I haven't seen many Sandman Scouts in TF2 recently, so I can't really tell. Then again, all I've played in TF2 over the last month is 2Fort map. The next time we're able to play TF2 at the

Half of scouts still use sandman, there's just far less scouts on most maps now because the update madness ended. Spy/sniper levels are starting to return to normal on most of my fave

serverrs now, too, so that's nice. Still a few servers with insane amounts on maps where they're hurting the team, but oh well.

See what happens when you stay inactive for over a month. :P

WHATEVER. I'll do what I want!

HOWEVER, let it be noted for the record that you 37ed me PREMATURELY and PREEMPTIVELY. You're no better than George Bush. (gasp)

Nah, I'll leave that to iscrulz.

Just as Achtung Baby is my second fave. #;-}>

You are lucky to have a radio station that plays Joshua Tree songs a lot. Here in my town, the most U2 I here on the stations I listen to... are War-era singles on the classic rock

station. I mean, sure, every now and then there's Where the Streets Have No Name, too... but not very often compared to SBS and Like a Song from War.

Anyway, I myself was born in the very late 80's so I sort of missed the peak era´s of U2 unfortunatly :( Bad was the song that got me into U2. It made me curious and so I

borrowed the best of 80's-90's CD which I loved immediatly after listening through it once. After that I started listening more and more to them. But this was only in the year 1999-

2000

Cool.

But when it comes to best from start to finish, and most good songs, it's Achtung Baby, yes. There's only one song on the entire album that I don't like very much and usually

skip. Otherwise it's straight through nearly anytime.

I´m guessing that song is So Cruel?

Nope! Trying to Throw Your Arms Around the World. Something about the "... fish like a bicycle..." line and the song as a whole that just turn me off. Doesn't feel like it fits in the

album as much as every single other song on the album fits. I wish it had been a b-side and Lady with the Spinning Head (an excellent b-side which I have in 2 different versions

from two different AB-era singles) had been on the album instead.

550 HOURS!!?? Jesus Christ. I probably haven´t even played Majora´s
Mask for that long and I´ve beaten that game at least 10 times by now.

700ish hours now! Blame the spy/sniper update from 5/21...

TF2 is the most fun multiplayer FPS ever, and has no plot, no start and no finish, and... thus... comparing how many hours of a single player game with a storyline like a Zelda

game... you have... to how much time in TF2... is not even comparing apples and oranges... it's like comparing eating chocolate ice cream to hiking up a mountain!

P.S. No, Coop, it was the Thursday following the weekend I was out of town and ye were depositing for me. And, funnily (or not) enough, but after that weekend trip, I developed a really bad case of ultra-toothache and cheek swelling (infection due to the tooth issue)... which I then proceeded to hide Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (the day of the proposal), and part of Friday... before telling my baby and calling a dentist.... Yes, I went on bended knee and slipped the ring on her finger while suffering immensely. I'M A MAN, DAMNIT. I'M 40!!!! </American sports coach press conference reference you might not catch>

P.P.S. Yes, I got in trouble for being too manly and not calling the dentist immediately on Tuesday. ;_;

*** PRE-CATCHUP rambles (and then massive amounts of thanks listage... in the next post due to running out of SPACE, goddamnit!) ***

First off... forgot to mention when I announced my alt alt level up the other day (perhaps because it's not really an achievement, and thus PLEASE DO NOT GRAT ME FOR THIS, OR ELSE THE DOG GETS IT), but... THIS account, my main, is exactly 3600 saves from 36000 saves, my final retirement point!

And yes, I hit 3600 away from 36000 like.... 10 days ago and have been sitting there nice and blissfully on purpose. #;-}> Thereby hindering my actual arrival at 36k, of course, but no worries... I'll start moving again tomorrow. Just... yeah. OCD.

Oh, one interesting thing about this spot I've paused at that I noticed on NG log:

being 3600 saves away from my goal means... 36k blams + 32.4k saves = 68.4k total b/p and a 1.111 blam/save ratio. 1.11111111111111111111111111, in fact. Perfection! Beauty! Woot! .... but again, NOT AN ACHIEVEMENT. Just cool numbery stuff for all the other folk out there who know about/share my 36 appreciation/love and/or love repeating strings of numbers like 1111 and the like.

...

Oh, and in other 36y news (I'm your only trusted source for that, yanno!) I just noticed while checking how far along the current page of LUL is that this topic is currently 2411.366666666666666666666666666etc.etc.
etc. (NO, I WILL NOT ROUND UP TO 7, BAHAMUT!!!!) pages long. Woot!

(yes, a page on NG being at .366666666... of the way through... happens every time a page has 11 posts out of the 30 limit, but... STILL!!!!! The timing, people... it's all in THE TIMING!)

...

And finally... I think I dropped by here to briefly mention IRL and NG achievements 3 times since my last catchup batch, AND AS A RESULT, there are way way way too many congrats, YOUSE GUYS is too kind!...... but I shall carry on and thank each and every one of ya nonetheless. However, as I sometimes do, 'twill be grouped together by grat timing... because saying thanks or some variant thereof dozens of times starts to feel a bit too much like handwriting a shitload of RSVP party invites and trying to make them all feel different enough/personal enough not to be a form letter. ;_;

I've culled the last TWENTY pages for quotes to reply to, but the catchup will be later. For now, I have but two announcements:

#1:

As some of you (well, I only know for sure Bahamut and Sir-Nuts saw it so far #;-}>) may have noticed from comment #138 on my current newspost... see http://gfoxcook.newgrounds.com/news/post /154369 for more details.... ahem:

As of one week ago exactly, Thursday May 14th, 2009 (our 9th anniversary), my significant other and I are now engaged to be wed next year, Friday May 14th, 2010, on our 10th anniversary. We'll have an online registry for prospective stalkers to RSVP, but I must caution you that there is a TEN STALKER LIMIT. First come, first served.

#2:

24,000 exp, baby.

... that is all.

lol, I didn't even notice the mistake until you pointed it out. The mistake isn't much to worry about since I've done the same thing as well a few times with my B/P updates. Fortunately, the EXP and Pentalist updates can have their mistakes fixed.

He's doing them on purpose at this point to toy with us! But I'm the only one getting toyed with because I'm the only one who notices. Arghghghgh.

*sigh* The demands did work and now you're posting more often. Are you afraid that I'll 37'ify my userpage? :P

Did the demands work in early April? Hmmmmm??? Apparently not. o_o

My only point was that micspamming in a multiplayer game makes way more of a fool out of oneself than posting some general conversational postings to a forum like ADGBC (or Wi/Ht?, for that matter)... that's all.
Yes, but talking about how I micspammed in one game over there will make me look like a fool. Also, I never have anything to say over there. :( Plus, I haven't checked their bumping policies yet (if they have any).

No one said the only conversation you could start up on ADGBC was about your damned micspamming, man! You can talk about anything over there, same as here, but your imagination is apparently failing you. #;-}>

HEY WYLO, DID YOU GET YOUR NAME FROM BOATS?!

Is that better?
I dunno. Doesn't seem to have worked, in any event.
Feck.

Hey, you finally got your answer, in any event.

Yes, reviews = Flash AND Audio reviews. However, I do wonder what will happen whenever the NG staff introduce Art and Literature Portals (assuming they're actually going to happen sometime). Will they have reviews or will they have comments just like news posts?

:::shrugs:::

Also, could Medal Points become the next stat for the 10k updates?

Ugh.

You've seen him on the BBS... lately? Or a long while ago? I haven't seen him post in years. But then again, I don't read General. Heh! It'll be on sale again. Either next time they do a huge update, some random weekend, or certainly around Christmas when they discount nearly everything on Steam.

One of the great things about TF2 is I can guaran-freakin-tee you we'll still be playing it by then, no matter what. Well, barring thermonuclear war, alien invasion, or hostile takeover of Valve, I suppose.

Been too busy finishing up my undergrad degree. And I tend to avoid this thread for some strange reason. It gives me the hibyjeebies.

I know the feeling. It's like... when it takes so long to put an update together, and you get it all set, and then it takes even more time to get the thing posted, and then you see how many posts have happened since you last caught up in the thread... sometimes you just don't wanna deal with 'em right after having done the update.

Yes you should have. Imagine all the great games you'd have with myself and gfox.

A BILLION. Except that he says he's busy, so maybe he wouldn't be playing much, anyway.

Yes, but Steam is a wonderful thing to have, so I talk about it a lot. :P

I guess Bahamut and I need to make sure to alert you as soon as one happens, then. Then again, you seem to have noticed the last one, so... I guess we don't need to. Sometimes I myself don't notice a Steam sale till it's Sunday even though it started Friday because I left Steam logged in for the whole weekend, and you only get the sale notifications upon logging in. #;-}>

Ya, I agree. Steam is fast becoming the replacement for retail games. Blizzard needs to start their own distribution system up fast and call it Ice.

They should if they could.

Only prob with this picture is that even when Recon missed a buncha deposits these past two months, he was at least gaining 0.01 VP in the updates. On this one... he gained 0.00, and thus got ye olde dreaded dashed line. Now he looks as inactive as bila, altr, or CaptainBob, which is not true (but wasn't far from it for awhile there, either). ;_;

But back on the plus side again, I passed 14.00 VP. Woooot!

All in all, a pleasurable VP time to be living in.

Wonderful, isn't it? If only the active depositers right in front of me could do the same for me.

Wonderfully wonderful.

I'm sure there's plenty of depositers in front of you that are pulling the same slowing-down-stunt, but you're less likely to notice them than me, because there's so many more of them in the range you're interested in than in my range.

Also, what is up with Recon lately? He missed 5 or so in March, no big deal though... but he's at 23,900 right now... let me repeat... 23,900!...
I didn't notice until you mentioned it. Although he hasn't posted in two months now, it's rather weird for him to have missed that many deposits in a short amount of time.

Well, I didn't notice it until April, yet clearly it's been effect for longer than the past month, yeah. Anyway, he seems to have possibly woken up again. He was at 23,910 for a week, but now he's up to 23,930, so he's gotten at least 2 deposits in the past few days, I think. Maybe he did take a vacation and he's back now. We shall see.

Indeed, checking the deposits page often helps as well as getting notifications for any 'changes' on that particular page. I registered to one site that informs me if there's been any changes to the page and as it's the deposits page, there's always changes, so I'm getting a lot of emails and a lot of users. Too bad the site's a bit slow and doesn't get the first 50 or so deposits for the grounds gold day. ;)

There's a site that will e-mail you the html of a website you want tracked for changes, basically? Huh.

1500+ now from 8k and up... won't be too long till it's a full top 2000 list, just like BBB's ol' autoupdating site.
And then I could keep it to top 2,000 only or just stick to 8k+ EXP, so it'll exceed 2,000 someday.

I vote for keeping it a top 2000.

You ever talked to him about getting it working again post-redesign? I bet it wouldn't require too much tweakage. ... (sigh)
I won't bug him about it since he may not be interested anymore and besides, I don't think he's visited NG in ages now.

;_;

If it makes you feel better, I don't even remember what I was lying about anymore...
Which is why checking back is always a good thing, but of course, that slows your catch-ups down.

Exactly, so... the less back-checking I have to do, the better for you more than me, anyway. #;-}>

If I get any more games right now, my baby will kill me. Well, not literally, but she'll be steamed at me
Would she say no to Steam gifts? :P After all, your birthday is in two months time.

Of course not, but if you got me the Abe games for my birthday, you'd A) be paying full price for them, not that they're that expensive even normally, and B) I'd feel obliged to gift you something back, and... there we go again. #;-}>

Just relax and I'll get 'em by the end of the year when the next big sale happens, or if you really want to, you can get 'em for me for Christmas when they're nice and super cheap again due to that sale. #;-}>

Sure, but just be prepared for them not to, eh? Besides, if you hit level 60 before you get to the top 50, is it really so bad?
Yes it is. It means I'll have to wait so so long to get there. ;_;

Yes, well.... there's always worse. What if you had to wait 2 years AFTER you hit level 60 to get to the top 50? I'm just trying to emphasise that you are bound to hit level 60 some day, and if you got top 50 the day afterwards, what harm would that do? You made it sound like you had to be there pre-level 60 specifically. But yeah, I get it that it'll take awhile to get there. Hell, I won't be there for another 4 years or so, IIRC.

Ahhh... when did the 50th EGSC happen, anyway? If you recall, I mean. No need to look it up if not. #;-}>
It was definitely in 2006, but when exactly it happened, I'm not too sure right now, but I think it's somewhere between February - April. Me and Afro_Stud reached EGSC in May.

Now now, enjoying stats and making lists doesn't make you pawns of me.

Though I suppose the fact that I managed to invent a few lists myself that became popular enough for people to be upset by my stopping of it... and further popularise another list of someone else's as well that also got people upset by me stopping... ensured that 3 people have now gone on to continue without me having to work on lists myself anymore KINDA makes you (blam, save), Bahamut (10k), and Wylo (VP) my pawns (or minions... I like minions as a term better...). But no one else, I would argue. #;-}>

But thank you, I do appreciate that. I am indebted to the great Newgrundling, who did far more analytical work than myself, and without whom I wouldn't have been updating the VP list in the first place since he was doing it before me... and before that, Captain Bob started it but only did a couple updates which I only even found because of NGling's updates... and I must share credit with the great D0GMA, who started only a month or two after me, but made weblists far more epic than I ever ended up doing (only one of mine ever made it to the web, for one thing, and secondly, my pentalist never relied upon extensive html links beyond just the archive).

If I am, perhaps, more notable... then it is only because of my longevity. I'm still here, a cranky old statfan needing my stat fix after 6+ years... never having fallen off the face of the earth like my two peers mentioned above. And for that, I will gladly accept the "Statfan and Listmakerer lifetime achievement award for attendance" were it to be so proffered.

At 4/25/09 02:51 PM, Bahamut wrote: EXP update #12 is now available!

Woooooooo hoooo! Thanks!

If you did gain more EXP ranks than it actually says on the site, this is because I found many users (around 75 of them from level 27 - 33). Most of the missing users from the last update are level 28 right now, so anyone who's that level will likely to have not gained as many ranks as you may have expected.

We may have had this conversation before, but... why don't you just pull exp rank from profiles and then have gaps in your list like Dogma had on the EGRL? Is it that you don't tend to pull data near the rank recalculation time on NG, and so much of the exp ranks may have changed due to some people depositing and other people not... by the time of the day that you do pull data?

47 24,300 47 240 Parasoul
48 24,260 47 270 FireNWater
49 23,900 47 60 ReconRebel
50 23,890 47 270 100816
51 23,798 47 280 Uniqueusername +1
52 23,790 47 230 iWalker -1
53 23,740 47 280 gfoxcook 0

Looks like passing ReconRebel will get me #52, unless he restarts his engines soon, passing nimmer may get me #51, and passing Parasoul MIGHT get me #50. 240 and 230 are still plenty of exp, but they're no full 270-280 for the month.

Also, in my own personal checks of the flow around me, this is what I discovered back on April 8 (hadn't checked since June 15th, 2008, partly because your list does just fine for me most of the time):

(rank on April 8, rank on June 15, 2008, amount of exp earned in that ~10 month period, exp on April 8, exp on June 15, 2008, name)

43 43 +2540 - 24410 21870 - joliet-jane
44 47 +2690 - 24280 21590 - The-Redeemer
45 48 +2710 - 24210 21500 - Dethyl
46 54 +2970 - 24188 21218 - someone-else
47 53 +2910 - 24150 21240 - Parasoul
48 52 +2860 - 24100 21240 - FireNWater
49 57 +2820 - 23880 21060 - ReconRebel
50 55 +2520 - 23710 21190 - 100816
51 51 +2330 - 23660 21330 - iWalker
52 61 +2720 - 23618 20898 - Uniqueusername
53 62 +2950 - 23570 20620 - gfoxcook

Clearly over the past year, nimmer is missing the most overall, but uniqueusername missed around 20 deposits, as did Dethyl, and joliet-jane missed around 40 deposits. Dethyl and joliet-jane are my insurance policy in case Parasoul doesn't come through for me. #;-}>

And looking at another update I did one day while talking to you on Steam this past week, as you might recall, May 1:

(same deal, only replace dates with May 1 + April 8)

43 43 +240 - 24650 24410 - joliet-jane
44 44 +210 - 24490 24280 - The-Redeemer
45 45 +230 - 24440 24210 - Dethyl
46 46 +230 - 24418 24188 - someone-else
47 47 +220 - 24370 24150 - Parasoul
48 48 +220 - 24320 24100 - FireNWater
49 50 +220 - 23930 23710 - 100816
50 49 +_30 - 23910 23880 - ReconRebel
51 52 +240 - 23858 23618 - Uniqueusername
52 51 +180 - 23840 23660 - iWalker
53 53 +230 - 23800 23570 - gfoxcook

Alas, most recently, uniqueusername and Dethyl and joliet-jane have all recovered and have been depositing daily for a month straight... but there are still plenty of people with less than the 22-23-24 deposits that mean every-day depositing in this same range just in the past month. Mostly Recon and Nimmer, though.

So, that means #51 is very much at hand, and #50 itself might take a bit longer, but then.... it really should, anyway. I'd hate to wait like.... a half year for #52, then have 51 and 50 happen the very same day a few weeks later. I want to get to #51 ASAP, then have #50 arrive momentously! And it seems that it shall. And still the identity of that #50 I must boot out from the list remains a bit mysterious, though the possibilities are starting to narrow a bit.

Coop'll back me up on this, but it starts to resemble watching the magic numbers on various baseball teams in the standings in late September every year. #;-}>

What kind of special privileges are you referring to?

What special privileges do flash and audio artists receive?

If you're just talking about $ from the ad revenue sharing system, then... some artists will get more than other, but it doesn't matter what medium it is, that's true for all of them. And yes, you're probably right, there's going to always be less attention paid (and less ad views) for stories in the internet than pictures or video. This applies to sci-fi fanfic, youtube comedies, and porn/erotica alike. People tend to like video > pictures > words. I don't think any writer is going to go into it expecting otherwise.

Like saying a novelist all of a sudden is going to get upset when his new book isn't as famous as the latest big movie. .... what rock was he under for his whole lifetime?

Well, the only problem is that it's draining electricity all the time, but... hey, unless you go around unplugging everything in your home that you're not currently using, you're wasting power every day anyway...
Exactly. It doesn't make much of a difference whether I keep the laptop on charge all the time or only charge it when it's low on battery. The latter requires unnecessary effort, so I'm good with the former.

We keep ours in all the time, too, but we have to... battery's fucked. Used to be fucked in a "won't run the laptop for longer than 45 minutes" way... now it's fucked in a "laptop doesn't think the battery exists, will turn off if unplugged from wall" way. heh.

But anyway... we use the laptop enough every day to make that make sense.

One thing I've started doing, though, is plugging in all our cell phone chargers and Nintendo DS chargers into ONE power strip... which we only plug in when we need to charge things (and usually charge multiple things together). When they're all charged, unplug the whole thing at once. Boom. Easy, and saving $$$$.

I was somewhat surprised to hear about that in the first place. I thought you only used electricity when you completed a circuit... if the damned phone isn't plugged into the charger, how is a circuit complete? Bah. Maybe the cord itself counts as a circuit because it converts AC to DC or something... LAME. ;_;

What would be a number coffee anyway?
Why, the tastiest number ever, of course!
Then what IS the tastiest number ever?

7?
33?
36?
666?
777?
...37?

Mmmmm... tastiest number.... probably a 3. It looks like a nice puffy pair of buns. o_o

A new gang of green pic shall be in order shortly, I'm sure.
Oooooooooh!

Just wanted everyone to know that after many PMs with Casualty, the ownership and support of the NG Logs website and programming is being transferred to yours truly. Everything is moving forward without duress or issue - Casualty enjoyed running the site and helping out on the Log, but real life is beckoning, and he just didn't have the time to properly care for it. He approached me a while ago about me being the new caretaker, and everything fell into place.

You can get more details on my post: NG Log - Under New Management

The transition will take place on 5/3/2009 and no, you won't lose any stats.

Welcome aboard the good ship NG statlipop. Did you have an interest in NG Log specifically or did Casualty know you had access to the database/server space/bandwidth and he asked you?

Once we've been up and running a few weeks where I know everything is stable, I will begin to entertain ideas for mods, updates, etc. to the site.

For the most part, the site will remain the same -same colors, look-and-feel, etc. with only minor tweaks. So this way, we won't freak out too many people. And, of course, Casualty, Denvish and everyone else who brought you the original will still be given credit on the site.

So, you can stop bugging Casualty now - I guess it's my turn to be the new landlord!

Please to not change things too fast. One thing at a time, and see how everyone feels about them. Hell, put up some polls on the front page, perhaps.

So far, yesterday and today, it logged my stats fine on all 3 accounts, the logcount list is working fine, and it's showing the last 5 logs perfectly on the main page (which is where I take my occasional screenshot from, with all 3 of my accounts together in summary form)...

But there is one little problem. I wanted to wait till I'd logged multiple times, as I have now (twice), to be sure... but when on any user page, clicking on any date, or using the previous day link.... either way, it doesn't change anything. My exp amount stays the same (as in, today's amont) no matter what date I go to.

And that's for both the days pre-site changeover and the day since site changeover, the 1st. So it isn't some pre-switchover problem that's now working fine, it just plain isn't working. ;_; I hope you still have the data, and it's just not displaying correctly, but... eh, even if we've lost everything, as long as you can get it working soon, no big deal. I use it mostly for day to day tracking, not historical info, anyway.

Keep up the good work that Casualty's been doing for 2 years or so!

First off, idiotbuster, if you hadn't posted the "found here" link, Nossinator probably wouldn't have dug up the next two so quickly... and secondly, he helped you out by doing two of the six since you could only post 4 in 30 minutes, anyway. So now all 6 are in order together, without other people posting non-related stuff in between. Isn't that better? Don't post pics in here just to take credit for posting them, after all. #;-}>

Anyway, I was actually thinking about that contest recently and wondering where I had stashed the pics (trying to find them on this computer's hard drive is impossible since this computer's from 2008)... must not have wanted to find them THAT badly since I didn't bother just GOING TO THE DAMNED THREAD like you two did, heh... but anyway, thanks for fishing them up for me, it was like you READ MY MIND.

I had forgotten that good ol' Qwoxy made that "alternative sig for the non-winners" sigpic, too. Heh.

Hey, wouldn't it be cool if there was ONE day of the year, though, when NO ONE WAS EVER BORN?

I guess Feb 29th's the closest thing, since very few people are born on it compared to any of the normal 365 days that happen every single year, but... still plenty of births. Imagine a day where not a single person is born in the entire planet, and it happens (or rather doesn't happen) EVERY SINGLE YEAR! We could call it Death Day and celebrate it like Mexico celebrates Dia de los Muertos or whatnot.

Next Update: 25th April 2009

Thanks for the update, man! I can't wait for the next one (but at least I won't have to for long!) for reasons that should be clear in a moment:

49 23,840 47 230 ReconRebel 0
50 23,620 47 260 100816 0
51 23,560 47 240 iWalker 0
52 23,518 47 270 Uniqueusername 0
53 23,460 46 280 gfoxcook 0

Despite having missed about 5 deposits in the past 2 years, which back in 2003-2005 was UNTHINKABLE for me (I missed 2 in that entire period, and both were when I was away from home and my passwords didn't work for the dude covering for me)... the NG Exp Gods don't seem very intent upon punishing me too harshly for the crime.

Are you kidding me? The four people directly in front of me are all depositing less than I am? Absolutely luck-filled greatness!

Also, what is up with Recon lately? He missed 5 or so in March, no big deal though... but he's at 23,900 right now... let me repeat... 23,900!... which is only 60 exp since the update nearly 4 weeks ago. Did he go on vacation with no depostering arrangements made again like he did a year or two ago? He PMs me nearly every time I miss 10 exp, but... I won't return the favour. It'd take way too many PMs right now, for one thing. O_O

Seriously, something must be wrong, this is all wrong, and I won't stand for it. THERE IS A DISTURBANCE IN THE EXP.

ahem... but anyway... main thing is that iWalker, aka the great nimmer, is missing deposits at a fairly steady rate, and I should probably be passing him for #52 any day now, hopefully prior to update #12 here this week. If not, certainly looks to be likely in May.

And once that happens, it's just TWO more people to pass to earn my #50 ticket! HALLELUJAH!

woot. And now... for regular replyage:

At 3/3/09 08:26 PM, gfoxcook wrote: It'll be hilarious if I end up passing Shrapnel for #51 and humantarget for #50.
Then I'll probably pass them at #101 and #100. ;_;

It's looking like I won't have to wait anywhere near that long to get into the top 50, fortunately. Maybe you won't have to wait that long for top 100age, either! We can hope, in any event. #;-}>

I noticed that around 980 people have more than 10,000 exp now, which is just epic....
And now we have over 1,000, which I find pretty scary.

Awesome!

You sure are tracking a lot o' folks, aintcha! 1500+ now from 8k and up... won't be too long till it's a full top 2000 list, just like BBB's ol' autoupdating site. Man, I miss that glorious thing. You ever talked to him about getting it working again post-redesign? I bet it wouldn't require too much tweakage. ... (sigh)

I wanted to see what level was at #50 on your first exp list, but alas you didn't have levels on the list back then... ah well.
But I had the EXP numbers, silly. On the first update, it said this:

50 mercy-killer 21,470 0 -2

Level 44, but very close to 45.

I was too lazy, I couldn't be arsed, clearly. #;-}> Thanks for doing it for me. 44.... wowza. Now 47. Moving on up quick quick quick. Won't be too long before top 50 is all level 50+, quite fittingly!

So I've heard. Some time, some time. They are on Steam, but I wait for sales. #;-}>
And they were on sale last week. I told you about them, but you didn't pick them up. What's more, the two games were only £2.25 altogether. ;_;

World of Goo was my last purchase, and only one in the past 2 months or so, and the only reason I got away with that was the super-sale + it's a cute game, and she liked watching me play it some for her. #;-}> Trying to get her to play as well, but she hasn't given it a try yet.

Indeed, but by "Top 50 in 2015", I may not reach the top 50 until I'm level 60. ;_;
I'd be surprised if it happened any other way. If there aren't 50 people in the top 200 currently who will hit level 60 before you do... then I'm amazed.
Here's hoping the majority will give up by then.

Sure, but just be prepared for them not to, eh? Besides, if you hit level 60 before you get to the top 50, is it really so bad? I know you'd rather be one of the first 50 since the official NG list (STILL) goes to only 50, but being in say... the first 100... wouldn't be such a bad distinction, would it? Hell, that's very braggable. #;-}> And much more likely, IMO, for you... than being one of the first 50.

Anyway, at least level 60 is gonna take mmmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnny years to be as stacked up as our 140+ strong EGSC crop is now. #;-}> Remember when people were still trying to be one of the first 50 to make it to EGSC, and thus be on the top 50 b/p list as something other than an EGSC for even just one brief moment?

I've played Portal Defender many times and I still find it hard. I'll try playing the game again later and beating the game. Alkie Kong 2, however, I gave the game a go, but wasn't that interesting to me. I know I'll be missing out on medal points by leaving that game, but meh, I shouldn't let myself become such a massive game achievement whore.

I know it sounds hypocritical from me considering I'm a stat whore on Newgrounds, but when I play games, I just want to sit down and have fun and not having to worry about earning these achievements. I already had to become an achievement whore in Team Fortress 2 in order to unlock extra weapons. ;_;

And an achievement FARMER for the Scout ones. Tsk tsk. #;-}>

My gf has 57 TF2 achievements, the same # as you as it happens (I just checked!), hardly ever plays, and certainly doesn't do specific things to get achievements. And she has 0 heavy and scout achievements because she hasn't played them at all since their updates. But she has all 3 pyro weapons and 2 of the 3 medic ones (medic achievements are definitely the hardest because Valve hadn't realised they made 'em a bit too hard till after that update and that's why the 3 packs since then are so much easier).

In short.... you can get the weapons without having to worry about earning the achievements! Just let them happen when they happen. All you have to do is play the class you want to unlock weapons for. Viola.

I just got scout #33 and pyro #36 without trying this week, myself... and since you only need 20 to get all 3 weapons for any of the 4 classes with unlockables... come on, man!

Whee, thanks for the epic catch-up! I believe you've put gfox to shame here.
gfox is a lazy bum who plays Team Fortress 2 all day. =P
Don't forget Fallout 3 and GTAIV. That's what his Steam account says.

I haven't played any GTAIV since like February, really. If there was GTAIV time on my account in March, it was due to having RSSC in my systray (Rock Star Social Club counts as GTAIV time).

And close to the motherfucking top 100 in EXP!

Yes, it can be addicting, so beware whenever you get it. Sure, there's no World of Warcraft on Steam, but the other games may have some addiction problems....Just not as severe.

Yes, at least there's no enforced mandatory WOW on Steam. Whew....

Well, a level 34 alt, and a level 32 alt. They'll look big enough once they're in the 40's. However, I'm not even in the 40's for levels just yet. ;_;

How long'll it take till your main and those two alts are in the 40s?

Here's one.

That's the alt of an original blam club member, BTW. And yep, one of the few alts with more exp than my two alts.

The one I'd like the most would be Team Fortress 2. As far as I've seen people playing it, it seems like a great game.

One of the greatest of all time. ~550 hours of playtime here and counting.

He'd need to lock every stat thread in Wt/Ht with that reasoning. Can't see it happening really.

And thereby drive away the largest pool of volunteer tech support any site this side of the Styx has ever managed to attract! I THINK NOT!

No, seriously though, lock the LUL.... LOCK IT NOW, SAVE US ALL. @_@

Well, if they haven't learned from recent experiences, they have probably taken early retirement and an infeasibly large golden handshake to go with it.

Sounds lovely.

That's really quite sad :( I can't personally imagine passing milestones and not celebrating them. What about 36k Saves?!
Damn, how could I forgot about 36k saves....
Yeah, where's the real gfoxcook and how much are you asking for a ransom?

Indeed, that couldn't have been the real gfoxcook since he also said "forgot" instead of "forget." My god.

Uh, so... um.... Ransom is... 3940 saves transfered from your account to this one. Deal?

Don't threaten me, you bastard, or I'll stop posting in LUL FOREVAH. How'd you like that, eh? #;-}>
Don't worry, the threats aren't necessary now.

Maybe not in early March when I'd just caught up.... but I should have made another threat on 3/29 when I posted in here to remind you not to take it for granted that I still catch up in here from time to time... CLEARLY.

360 gamepad = fixes that issue.
Yes, but I'll only get a 360 gamepad whenever I get a goddamn 360, even if the controller works with PC.

You can get one for like 20 bucks, prolly cheaper from some places. Just get one, ya bastard. You don't have to have a console to have a controller for it when the controller works for multiple platforms!

U2 - Zooropa, Daddy´s gonna pay for your crashed car, Dirty Day, The Fly, Ultraviolet
Damn straight. I just listened to all 12 tracks from Achtung Baby an hour ago.... Ultraviolet is so underrated.
I think Achtung Baby my favourite U2 album actually. And indeed, Ultraviolet is an awesome song, and I doubt many non-U2 fans know it which is too bad. Most U2 fans I know do love it, but I agree that it is kinda underrated for such a great song.

I would answer Joshua Tree as my fave because it has 3-4 songs on it that are just some of my absolute fave U2 songs (after Pride, which is the song that got me into U2 hardcore in 1992. I was into U2 a bit from listening to War back in the late 80s, but I don't count myself a U2 fan till I heard Pride during a commercial for the In the Name of the Father film that came out in 91 or 92 and I HAD to get that song and the rest is history.)

But when it comes to best from start to finish, and most good songs, it's Achtung Baby, yes. There's only one song on the entire album that I don't like very much and usually skip. Otherwise it's straight through nearly anytime.

And so is Dirty Day from Zooropa. One of my faves
Dirty Day is another great song indeed, but the Zooropa song is my personal favourite from the Zooropa album. A song that I personally find very underrated.

Zooropa and Dirty Day are the best songs on that album to me and yes, very underrated... and the overall album is very underrated as well.

Also, Zooropa was my fave song for listening to when taking off in an airplane back in the day... Always tried to time it right where the song would go from the slow part to the fast/high energy part just as the wheels were leaving the tarmac beneath us.

True, but no-one else deserved it more than he did. It's just too bad he didn't make the cut to the end year awards. Oh well, at least NEVR and myself got through. :)
Yeah, but he didn't post a lot since he won the Best Poster award. So... yeah.

Indeed. gfox has an army of voting power with only three accounts.

Also, gfox probably has the oldest alts on the site. =P

Many many regs back in 2003 when I became active on NG already had alts before I ever made mine in August of that year. Now, I definitely have two of the highest-exp, still-active alt accounts that happen to be fairly old, that's for sure. #;-}>

My only complaint so far is how .wma tracks have to be transferred to .aac tracks, but no MP3 Player is perfect. However, if I want to avoid it doing that, I'll have to rip all 250+ CDs of mine to .mp3 format. ;_; Ah well, I have a shitload of space on my External Hard Drive right now, so I'll be fine for the time being.

Why would you favour .wma format over .mp3 format, anyway?

Since I began using mp2s and mp3s in the mid-90s, I think I've ripped about 10,000 mp3s from my CDs, DLed many hundreds of mp3s and maybe ended up in the end with 2 .wmas because that was the only format I could find for something in particular. O_o

Also, congrats to gfox for entering the golden levels.

Also, as April Fools pranks go, this was quite a good one as it was well-thought out for the most part and widely implemented across, the word filter and various error messages were particular highlights for me.
