It's all in the timing.
But I guess they will fall sooner or later. I remember trailing right behind Heinrich and Atalaya for quite a long time (both had a long streak of not missing any deposit), but now they are both way behind me. :)
Yes. They will fall. It is all just a matter... of ze times.
Then the user who was #1 in Exp when I first signed up (or when I first checked the rankings) will be back in the top spot again... at least if I recall correctly. Bomb WAS #1 in Exp once right? Also, wow, Pimp missed approx. 8 deposits. Awesome.Indeed. Even if the worst case level 60 system scenario is true, Pimp's missed deposits buy us a LITTLE more time before the scaling returns.
Sadly, even if he were to fully retire, bomb is ready to take up the crown in just a month, clearly.
Yes, Bomb was #1 once. Long before my time (well I was using NG occasionally, but not really paying attention to stats, I mean. That began in January 2003 for me, despite my 2000 signup date and use of NG even before I signed up).

Yep.

Well, if you don't do that badly again 2014-2015 (the same time it took you from the 02-03 time to the 08-09 time, then you should be in good shape for the next few years, at least).
Heh. Blamin' it on Fallout, eh? #;-}>Yeah yeah I was playing all day and competely forgot. Well I hope it doesn't happen to Bioshock I or II.
Heh. Speaking of Fallout, the only Fallout I've been playing lately is some good ol' Fallout 1 (snagged 1 and 2 and Tactics when Steam got them a few weeks ago).
He may have a chance at passing in b/p but never in experience, and he knows it.No you will not pass me ... I creeping into the Top 80. I have years to go to get in the Top 50 or more.Damn. He's got you there, Coop.
He may know it, but he will act/talk as though you are going down. Don't let him get in your head or it's OVER, man! (in the words of Hudson from Aliens... GAME OVER, MAN, GAME OVER!)
Just make sure you never get bored of NG, iscrulz, or Coop's gonna ream ya.If I do I will just remember that Cooper is trying to pass me then come back.
That sounds like a pretty good motivational tool to use on yourself, dude. Good luck.
Yep. Like when I retired from b/p... I was #2... or had I already been passed and knocked to #3 by then? Can't remember.MPA?
MPA passing me to make it ramagi/MPA/gfox top 3 sounds about right, but I really can't remember the timing of it all was my point.
I DO remember that Toocool passed me in saves before I retired my saves at 24,000, so that it was Toocool/gfox/ramagi for awhile, and in fact by the time I retired (if not shortly afterwards), it was then Toocool/ramagi/gfox in saves.
But as is no surprise to anyone, I was always paying more attention to what was going on with my saverank than my b/prank overall.
Funnily enough, since saves became so damned commonplace not too long after I semi-retired in 2005, I no longer care as much. Even with adding 12,000 saves over 3-4 years now to get to my final retirement, I'm never going to recover in saverank, and my b/p rank makes my save rank look like what my BLAM rank used to look like way back when blams were in vogue, so...
wild stuff.

So really, all you needed to be content was another list with you in the #1 spot, eh?Yes if I was but back on the list I would have made it from least to most you see.
Heh.
Here's an idea for you: make a memberlist stat list like the RCVL, and then you can strive to get to #1 in total pentapoints amongst the Wi/Ht? membership. Of course, Coop will just say it's another list for him to top you in, so... be forewarned if you do elect to take up that listmakery.I would and have thought of it but I am not for one reason Cooper would be able to brag about passing me. Its not stopping anyone else though huh.
Nope. But you don't mind anyone passing you and bragging about it, as long as the someone isn't him, right?
People may not remember, but early on in the Regular list, there was a brief Members vs. Regulars vs. Mods triple stat list competition of sorts.I wish I could have been apart even though back then I would drag the Regulars points down.
Wah-wah-waaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
IIRC, Alkador probably would have gone straight to the membership had that regular election not taken place beforehand. There's no way there was a 3 day turnaround in terms of getting him on the nominations list for membership, meaning that membership election wasn't using the regulars' list as a candidate pool.right it was just a coindience that it happen. The Acension from the Regular list happened when RedCircle went to the Member list and on the Regular list you have honorable discharges from the Regular list because they acsended to the Memberlist. So ever since the Regular list as be a breeding ground to shape Wi/Ht? Members still some sneak there way on to the Member list.
Just so long as no one thinks that's unfair or "cheating the system that doesn't really exist and is just a product of lazy vote-runners," then okay.
Here here I concur lets have a vote. All in favor of the next election in September 09 stfu. In January 2010 Say AYE.
Awesome. AYE!
Good point. I wonder if the main reason iscrulz made the list was so that he'd be #1 again on something since he's been "robbed" of his regular#1 spot... or because he found a way to keep Coop off a list. #;-}>Muhahaha both reasons I could include him but then its a list for users that were on the RCVL so I guess I would error it by including Cooper and Casualty I then would have to include the rest of the Memberlist users too.
Do whatever you want, man. It's your world, we're just living in it.
Pretty much. You'll note that while I am replying in honour of page 38, I started with iscrulz's bump in July, I ain't going back to February-June's posts on page 37 and replying to all that crap. Remind me if anything important happened in the first 85% of page 37 sometime, though. #;-}>Replies, replies Ultor/Basspro55 thinking he can be on the list again/The Induction Cermony for June/some cock sucking/then me crying I was on the list. That might have something to do with it, but didn't that kinda happen AFTER regulars started getting made members?
It's kinda a chicken and egg sorta deal, I suppose.
The Regulars is simply to show users who are currently active in the Wi/Ht? at the time. However the Memberlist just started off as a sort of 'club'. Then it kind of became a 'this member has done a ton for the Wi/Ht? and is well liked by us all' thing. But it's definitely very loose in its definition I'd say.I guess RC wanted to one-up gfox by making the Versus lists because gfox had just these members or on a list that are active and helpful on the Wi/Ht then RC vamped up the RCVersusL and add all the bells the whistles while the Member list stay a list were you get to go if you suck enough cock and be helpful. The Regualr list is starting to become a sister Memberlist because the active Wi/Ht?ers are not being voted off I admit I stopped using the Exclusion votes but now that I look at it....etc.etc.etc.
My my, you sure are comfortable guessing at RC's motives. #;-}>
As I said to you, there was a members vs. regulars vs. mods stat comparison going on before RC made the list the way he made it, so I don't think it was any sort of one-uppingness of me or any other listmaker, it was just a continuation of good statlisty funs.
FYI, I was very close to not accepting becoming a Wi/Ht? Member. I had a real dilemma with it as my activity had been decreasing around the time, and I knew it was only going to be decreasing more. But BonusStage and RedCircle did some convincing and I accepted. Still feel guilty about it though.Oh wait I could just not accept being on the Memberlist cool then its back to the RCVL for me then.

That would be the definition of a forum "regular," after all. Stands to reason. #;-}>
Well, I wasn't around for the start of Wi/Ht? membershipness, but by the time they asked me to join, we already prided ourselves on being both REGULAR and HELPFUL, and those two things being recognised was essentially the point of the "club" if you want to call it a club, which I don't.
FYI, I was very close to not accepting becoming a Wi/Ht? Member. I had a real dilemma with it as my activity had been decreasing around the time, and I knew it was only going to be decreasing more. But BonusStage and RedCircle did some convincing and I accepted. Still feel guilty about it though.
Nowadays, it's just a Hall of Fame, anyway. And people always come back and become more active again, so it's not like we're going to kick people out for being inactive and then only readmit them when they're active again.
If you're in, you're in because your peers thought you should be in. What's done is done, enough said, and all that. LOOKING AT YOU HERE, ISCRULZ. #;-}>

At 7/18/09 05:05 AM, NEVR wrote: Perhaps you're forgetting that a lot of people here (including myself) have simply seen things done one way since both these lists became active again, which was basically the RCVL providing a candidate pool for the regulars list.
I think his point is just that just because Recon and myself and now Bahamut have been lazily using the RCVL as a candidate pool for membership... it doesn't mean that there's a requirement you be in the one before you get into the other like some newbs might believe there is.
As I said, I don't really care if there's that impression or not. If a newb wants to find out the truth of what goes on, they'll find it out. If they're happy with their misconceptions that we haven't tried hard enough to clear up for them, then... ah well. Again... too lazy to give a damn. #;-}>
People realise that they're 2 separate lists, but not everybody has been here since the lists were created, man, so people see them in the way that they've been run since they got here. As far as precedent goes since I got here, nobody outside the RCVL has been voted onto the memberlist, AFAIK, so before it was pointed out to me that it can and has happened, I really didn't have any reason to see it that way.
It's a "de facto" situation, IOW. As long as we keep voting regulars into the membership, people will either assume that you have to be a regular first or that people tend to be a regular first (the latter is true... the former is up to debate/your perspective).
I apologise if my ignorance offended you, but unfortunately I haven't been here since the dawn of time, so you'll have to forgive me for not knowing certain little things.

I'd make Vice City stunt videos, but I haven't found a lot. That's the one thing that disappointed me about Vice City - the less amount of good stunt places to perform. It's a lot better than GTA3, even though I can't seem to find many stunt places in Vice City, which kinda disappointed me, but not too much. And besides, if I'm that desperate to do crazy stunts, I'll go back to GTA3.
Man, there's plenty of places to do awesome jumps with cars or bikes in Vice City! As iscrulz mentioned briefly, those little trapezoid-shaped concrete ramps near water in the early area of the game, especially. great, great flippy jumps off of those things with sportcars....
There's also plenty of rooftop jumps and ramps.
I think what you're noticing, though, is that there are less OBVIOUS ramps sitting around on the ground level as compared with GTA 3, and I think they did that to make the city seem a bit more realistic, since there's no ramps all over a damned city. So they made the ramps look like actual... utility buildings/boxes, etc.
But iscrulz is right, mountains and skyscrapers in GTA:SA have both 3 and VC beat for stunt jumping.

Indeed. But anyway, sounds like he's open to getting it on Steam for a sale (as I know you are), and it's just a matter of whether his computer can handle it or not.
Speaking of which, the only three games my new computer (well, new a year ago) has had even the slighest issues running due to being super-demanding on system resources...... are:

Fair enough, even though that means The Simpons would still suffer with two of the worst episodes ever.
Two of the worst eps ever were in seasons 7-10ish? I'm surprised. I woulda thought the quantity of those types of eps went up way more past season 10, from what you normally say.

Sounds like that mystery has been solved, from what Bahamut's told me a week or two ago.
I am an original Wi/Ht? member, punkass. And so are you. WE ARE ONE. ONE UF US. ONE OF US. ONE OF US.Yes you are but the cutoff is at you, the rest came from the rcvl for the most part. So we are not one we are many.
Depends on how you define "original," I suppose. I don't see anything "lesser" or "less original" about members who used to be on the RVCL versus those who were members before the RCVL even existed except, of course, that seniority/longevity wise, the latter category is an older bunch.
You can't go 32 hours without fapping? Jeez, man.I can I just would need a break and a porno break sounds good but overall I can't stay up past 22 hours on average.
Well, that's good to hear, I suppose.
Go for it. You can videotape the disc smash and show me and Bahamut. If I find it in the 15 bin at walmart I will buy iy and smash it.
Sweet deal.
I ALREADY HAVE GTA IV. I ain't buying it a 2nd time for a game system I DON'T OWN. Whereas both you and Bahamut have PCs already. So YOU buy GTA IV and come play with ME. At least you would only have to buy the game a 2nd time, but no further purchases on consoles. How about that? #;-}>Once I get Steam and its on sale I may buy it I am just worried that my 4 year old computer won't be able to handle it which is why I don't PC game.
Steam's free. So get Steam right now.
The latest there will be a sale for GTA IV on PC on Steam will be around Christmas, so you'd better get an account before then, at least.
But yeah, your PC might not be hip enough to keep up with it. Oh well. Your next PC, whenever you get it, will be. And thanks to Steam, you can install the games you own on as many PCs as you want to login and DL them on. Once the money is spent, all ya need is time and hard drive space.
I've never watched a blu-ray. How do I know it's overrated then, you ask? BECAUSE I HAVE A HDTV + regular ol' DVD player, and my movies and TV shows look PERFECTLY FINE already. So you don't know what a blu-ray disc looks like on a Sony Bravia 1080p best refresh ratio and Hz and etc looks like. Just because you think your ol' DVD player looks good doesn't mean it is good. Blu-ray is a lot better even the unconverted DVD's are better
No, and I don't need to know what they look like, because regular DVDs look FINE.
A $10,000 music system sounds better than my $300 music system. Do I need one? Hell no. I'm not that picky, man. HDTV with regular DVD is more than good enough for me. I'm easily pleased when it comes to TV/audio/etc.
Now, on a computer, I want my FPSes and the like to play well and have a nice high FPS, so I'm a bit more picky re: computers, but then again... I did live with the same old desktop for 11 years and ended up just stopping buying new games.
But in short....
I'm a statwhore, Jim, not a trendwhore.
If I'm satisfied with the sound and video of my regular ol' DVDs (which I waited until many years after they were introduced to buy, BTW, so that I didn't have to spend a small fortune)... then I know by definition that the "next gen" movie storage system is OVERRATED.Oh because the next-gen was expensive you thought instantly it is overrated talk about being blind and ignorant, Blu-ray players are around 150 now for the old models so you should get one and see for your self. You won't admit you see the difference because of your stubbornness to get a blu-ray player. It many be overrated because it has so many praises from the crowds but now after time has passed it settled down. <3
If it's so good, it'll still be around and still be the main way people buy movies in 3-4 years, right?
So I'll get it then, and I'll pay a shitton less than the early adopters did, thank you very much.
I stopped needing to get things right away when I turned 15, man.
Yeah the PS1 and PS2(which owned every other console) is great but the PS3 kicks as much ass as its predessors. The price tag is the only thing that scares people away, if PS3 sold as much as a Wii it would be #1. The PSX (the newerish PS1 is definatly over) But the Playstation era is not over.
It kicks ass technically.
But not culturally, which was my point about the Playstation era being over.
Unless Sony gets back to #1 with PS4, it is indeed over, man. Don't kid yourself.

Exactly. PC über alles, biiiiatch.
Done and done, thanks to a Valve sale. VALVE IS GOD.Hooray for Valve expect if they sell FF games than BOO.
They don't sell anything to do with FF.
So will you get a Steam account now and DL Steam (all for free), please? Thanksssss...
(there are free videos, demos, and a few free full games you can DL, btw, without spending a penny... get your ass onboard!)
Uh not in my lifetime I am going to keep my PS2, PS3 and the other PS consoles. I will not join you I am still a console fanboy, and if I play on the PC it will be just to see what TF2 is like and play GTA IV with you.
Well, you said your computer might not be able to handle GTA IV, but it probably can handle TF2 (might have to turn down some of the graphical settings), so that'll kick ass.
LOZ is an Adventure (no levels/stats, just equipment /= JRPG).Well okay just some people in the past I know loosely used the term RPG.
Probably because they figured that since the player PLAYS the ROLE of Link, then it must be a ROLE-PLAYING game, but by that logic, nearly every game is a role-playing game, no matter whether it's a fighting game, racing game, shooter, space combat sim, puzzle games even, hell.... RPG doesn't just mean what it says in its name, though, so... yeah. Those people are silly and oversimplistic in their reading comprehension. Context, bitches. Context.
Yeah I remember your prejudice favoring Vice City over the other two GTA games I played them equally base on how long it took to get near 100% and the time the next game came out. I haven't been playing CW though. Its about time I play it and beat it.
Vice City is still the only one I've finished.
I'm most likely to finish either VCS or 4 next. I'll get to 3 and/or SA finishing after the two of them.
I suppose, but I've been trying to vote him in since before I ever found out he hated FF or before you and he ever met....I wish more people could have said that then I would have gotten on the list before Cooper.
Hey... I tried my best, man. For fuckin' YEARS. Don't look at me.
Separate post for replying to iscrulz's catchups and Bahamut's catchups after this one (even though those 4 posts, 2 from each of 'em, were before the posts I'm replying to below). Don't think it was me, but since you mention me + time/dates for accuracy...
EVERYTHING was inactive except the Clubs and Crew forum (FUCK YOU C&C GUYS FOR SCARRING MY "inactive BBS" SCREENSHOT!).
Dude... for General, it says the last post was at 2:32 AM, and for C&C it says the last post was at 2:33 AM. General received a post within 1 minute of C&C's "active" post that ruined your screenshot. You told Krev that General gets a post every 30 seconds... well, 30-60ish or so was still true in your screenshot. You didn't capture a unique moment where somehow General wasn't being posted in at all for a long period of time, you just captured a normal moment when General had been posted in within the past minute.
And I'm gonna take a wild guess and assume that the reason all the forums were listed as grey/no-unread-posts is that you were refreshing the BBS again and again till almost everything was inactive for a screenshot. Of course that's gonna happen. There's not dozens of posts per minute here, after all, spread all around the various forums of the BBS. This isn't youtube's comments system, it's NG BBS. Very light traffic (relatively-speaking).
I just don't get what the point of showing that you can refresh the BBS listing and make it look like all the forums are dormant when really if you had waited an hour before hitting refresh, almost all of them would have shown new posts.... In fact, looking at your screenshot again, every single one of the 9 normal forums (the all-access ones) had postes within 30-60 minutes prior to the posts I mentioned above on General and on C&C that were the most recent ones at the time of the screenshot.
So.... huh? Unless a nice, grey, "no-unread-posts-since-your-last-visit" screenshot is aesthetically pleasing to you, I fail to see the point of those two screenshots. Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course, this topis has way way way way more useless screenshots than that. #;-}> But if that's what you like, just hang out on Wi/Ht? in the middle of the night, hit refresh a couple times, and you'll have a nice long list of 30 topics, all grey and "inactive." This left me a bit of curiosity regarding each character's nationality. So I searched for it and found this, which seemed pretty trustworthy.
Now: do you play more with the engineer just because he's from Texas? =P
No, it's just a bonus that he's a Texan. Besides, if that was the reason I played engineer most, wouldn't I always have played engie most?
When I first got TF2 13 months ago, I played Heavy and Scout most (Russian and American--Boston, specifically).... then I started to play Pyro most (who knows where he's from... some say Italian... I think he needs to either be hispanic or asian, personally, as TF2 is missing some real diversity #;-}>). And then I started to play Demo most (Scottish).
Engie was my 5th class to hit #1 playtime on my account, so... I didn't rush straight to him when I started playing. It took half a year or so for engie hours to pass all my other hours.
Honestly, when I saw the final roundin Baha's character battle, I had to search to know what the hell was a Pyramid Head. It seems he's a pretty popular obscure character that I'd never heard of.
Yep. You've gotta be a big SilentHill/ResidentEvil-type gamer to have met him. I haven't, but I found out about him on the web a few years ago.
Ah well. They can't live forever. At some point their music is either gonna disappoint you or they're gonna stop releasing it. One way or the other, it has to end.Tell that to the Rolling Stones. =P
Even they will not go on forever. Unless they're all vampires. WE SHALL SEE.
Indeed, but that's because you wrote a SHIT TON of things quoting my posts. Heh.
Yep. So we gotta fix that. Anything not that important to say needs to not get said. I've already clipped out 3 or 4 things of yours I coulda replied to but felt I shouldn't. You probably shouldn't reply to this in return. That will further decrease the INSANE SIZE of this conversation that started out as a simple single post from each of us and was up to 3 posts or so at its height. #;-}>
At least this topic itself will (hopefully) never get to page 37000. Though it probably will get to 3700, and then I'll have to suffer through 100 pages. Or else just disappear for 100 straight pages (sounds better). But then you'll have to catch-up those 100 pages... right?
Like I told Rohan, I think it was, maybe I'll just ignore all 100 pages. #;-}>
I'm getting the hang of it, but I still find myself erasing the damned line. One thing that I did in this previous catch-up that i found quite useful was copying the whole post to notepad and checking if the lines were there or not. A little ''archaic'', yeah, but useful nonetheless. :)
Nothing archaic about that. I'm typing this line in notepad right now, dude. It's the only way to multiquote. You can't fit more than 8000 characters in a NG BBS response window, after all. Almost every time I multi-quote, even if it only ends up being 2 posts, instead of 4 or (hah!) 8.... I start out with so much quoted material it can't all fit in a single post. I edit it down as I go, while adding my own replies, of course, and... then cut it into <8k chunks in notepad, and paste back into posting windows.
Congrats, especially on BrigGen (my fave rank icon on OLD pre-redesign NG!) and 10+ VP!Thanks! We know that Brigadier General is your favourite pre-redesign badge, I mean, it's your profile pic. =P
Well, before the redesign, my profile pic was of all 4 general rank badges AND the supreme commander badge. It was an animated profile pic, but then the redesign came along and made animated sigs and profile pics a thing of the past, so I had to pick a single frame of my pic to use, and of course I picked my fave. #;-}>
But before then, people would actually have had to ask me or see me saying it to know.
Well, I have a 1MB internet connection, which is pretty good, I suppose. The major internet backbone area should be São Paulo (everything is there, but WE are the capital, wth...), which is about 1100km (~700 miles) from here. I believe that most servers were held there as well.
Well, you're further inland, right? In the US, most of our backbones are along the coasts, so it doesn't surprise me much that it's the same in Brazil. Population on coastlines means it's the first place to build a pipeline/backbone, then you branch it off to the inland areas.
I went to a store the other day and saw that a PS3 game was about 50/60 dollars. That's why there's so much piracy in here. Another reason why I ask my uncle to buy games sometimes, since he lives in Washington. :)
Games here are 50/60 dollars, too, but I take it you're not talking about the same dollar as I am. #;-}>
Would your uncle buy you a nice boxed copy of the Orange Box? If so, you could probably get it even sooner than from Bahamut or me.
Are you serious? But that's just... insane! I... don't know what to say! Are you seriously going to do that or you're just mocking me?
Of course we're serious. Didn't we say that like 2 months ago? You thought we were joking or something? Why bother signing up to Steam and putting "please to buy me TF2?" in your profile there, then? Heh. #;-}>

That's a grand idea.
If things starts getting too serious, LOOK AT THE HEAVY'S FACE.

Bahamut sure seems to think that he won't be getting to #200 until 4 months later than that, based on his "9 months" prediction for moving up from #250 to #200.... but... that means gfox is gonna tumble fast and hard from his perch when he stops depositing. I musta somehow confused that convo with the ones with SirNuts about TF2 specifically, thereby ascribing some desire for TF2 itself to Auz, when he doesn't even have Steam (yet?), so... heh. Nevermind. o_o
Eh, give it some time. My friends list started small but grew to a decent 16 people. May not be a lot but it's nice and managable. However, I don't mind having more friends on Steam as long as they're not just random adds.
Every single Steam friend I have who I didn't know from ADGBC or NG is a person I either found very skillful as an enemy, very helpful as a teammate, or very funny in text/voice comms.
I wouldn't call those random adds, but in so adding them, I not have a rich panoply of games to join pretty much anytime I start up TF2 if I wish to play with people I've played with before.
The problem is namechangerers make me forget who they are if they change names a lot. At least Steam has a "previous nicknames" feature. Old NG prior to the username lockdown would have benefited GREATLY from such a feature. #;-}>

TNOTB + Powerslave + Piece of Mind = a perfectly acceptable minicollection for me. I just can't believe your patience for Powerslave. POWERSLAVE DEMANDS QUICK ACTION!
From the collection I've got, I'm reasonably happy. The more well known tracks that aren't on the actual albums I own are in EtG - Flight of Icarus, The Trooper, 2 Minutes to Midnight, for example.
And prolly Aces High as well, but what about the Rime of the Ancient Mariner? And the Duellists? And Losfer Words (Big 'Orra)!
Great stuff.

um, okay. But a blam vote either results in no point or a blam point, and a save vote either results in no point or a save. That error on NG years ago where you'd get a save for being the 100th vote on a movie, even if you hit blam... that error is GONE, thankfully. And vice versa.

Yes, that would be a bit overly anal. #;-}>
Well I don't remember why you didn't include flash reviews or just plain reviews in your 1 by 10K list but when I joined there was review stats so its orginal and Yep the penta list topic has B/P or B-P so I guess I should have noticed it.
It was because the list was created because I noticed we had one user with 10,000 exp and 10,000 posts (Shrapnel), one user with 10,000 exp and 10,000 b/p (NemesisM66), and one user with 10,000 b/p and 10,000 posts (biteme), and NO others. Those were the three, IIRC. No one had 10,000 reviews back then, so there was no chance for that to be the impetus for the list.
Anyway, XwaynecoltX is the reason reviews were added to the list at some point.
But yes, if we're talking about NG itself, of course.... blams came after exp, saves came after blams, etc.or did blams come after saves. The old B/P system maybe just blams were given out I can't recall, I want to know if I got 1 blam back in my first 4 months or the UJ system of everyone that voted got te point when I joined. Whats the old url to profiles so I can check its all java blah open(profile x) when I try finding old links.
No, blams were around for awhile before saves came about. I don't know how old blams are, but I do know that saves started in October 2002. I started posting on the bbs in January 2003, and there was much talk about saves, as they were the relatively-new stat at the time.
Blams originally were only for the blamming vote itself, not all the 0s and 1s up to that point.

If it takes you 9 months to reach the top 200, that means gfox will lose... say 50 rank spots between now and then. I find that hard to believe.
As I said in an above post, gfox's exp retirement number is a number you'll reach in January 2010. I won't guess as to whether you'll hit the top 200 before or after you pass him, but I will say it won't be 4 months after you pass him. That's insane. O_O

Well, Electrical Storm was a very different sort of single from U2. Instead of being associated with any one album like MOST singles are/were... wasn't it released on one of the decade-BestOfs double-discs?Yeah it was released on the best of ´90-2000. Like The Sweetest Thing was on the ´80-´90.
Ah, but there's a difference between those two, at least for me. I'd never heard OR heard of Electrical Storm until 90-00 best of started being talked about.... but I already owned Sweetest Thing for years and years before the 80-90 best of came out, because it's a b-side on one of the Joshua Tree singles. Can't remember which one, as I have 2 or 3 from that album.
Hehe yeah the huge cover art is indeed awesome. Although the October cover art wasn´t much special I think, except that it was nice to see the band in their very young years on the picture.
Yeah.
Will do next time, like I said :) Although I might just look them up on Youtube. Youtube being my main "music player" at the moment whenever I´m on my PC.
I hear ya, man. I use itunes, too, but for music I don't own or for music I do own but haven't ripped from CD to my harddrive yet, youtube is the quickest way to hear it. I probably use youtube at least as much as a music player as I use it as a video viewer.
War is an excellent album, start to finish. A couple songs on there I sometimes skip, but it's definitely in the top 5 U2 albums to listen to from start to finish.Top 5 you say? Well then I´m curious if it´s gonna beat Achtung Baby, The Joshua Tree, Rattle and Hum, Boy or Zooropa (my top 5) :p
Well, like I said... "albums to listen to from start to finish," I'm not sure if that's really exactly the same thing as "best albums." For instance, TUF has some great songs on it, and it's one of my fave U2 albums, but it's not in my top 5 to listen to from start to finish, because it has a real dragging portion between the first 4 songs and then Indian Summer Sky/Bad near the end.
Anyway.... I'd definitely rather listen to War all the way through than Rattle and Hum. That'd be the one of your five I'd swap with War.
October's good to listen to all the way through, though a lot of the songs are very similar-sounding, way moreso than on any other U2 album, IMO... it's not really their fault, seeing as how the lyrics briefcase was lost/stolen and they had to redo so much musical composing at the last minute... and I really like a lot of the tracks on it, like Fire and October (that one stands out from the rest, for one), and With a Shout, along with of course Gloria... but yeah, not good enough to make it into a top 5 listenable list.
I'd agree with you about Zooropa needing to be in the list, and I don't think any album since then comes close, though maybe ATYCLB is closest. For me, I guess I'd have to go:
start-to-finish listenability:
1 Achtung Baby
2 Joshua Tree
3 War
4 Boy
5 Zooropa
6 Unforgettable Fire
7 ATYCLB
and then POP, October, etc. Can't really rank 'em at that point.
but you'll note the above list differs from my "fave album" list, in order at least:
1 Joshua Tree
2 Achtung Baby
3 Unforgettable Fire
4 War
5 Zooropa
6 Boy
7 POP
etc.
Ah well. They can't live forever. At some point their music is either gonna disappoint you or they're gonna stop releasing it. One way or the other, it has to end. That´s true I guess. Perhaps my expectations of them have just become a bit too high over the years.
That's a good thing, though, since it means they produced enough good schtuff to get our hopes up. #;-}>
Aha, I figured it was something like that. Sounds like a really handy program if you ask me. And how much do you pay for a game on average? Are they much cheaper than in the stores?
New games will often cost just as much as they do in stores, $50 is the average US new game price for PC games in store OR on Steam. But Steam has a lot of $20-$40 range games. Don't shop at stores often enough to know how well they discount on not-quite-super-new-or-super-big games, but my impression is that Steam goes a bit lower.
But the main way Steam wins is this: Steam does a weekend sale almost every week, and occasionally a week-long sale, and every year at the end of the year, a big holiday/winter sale on almost everything on the site.
The sales can be on individual games, a whole game series, a pack of multiple games/series, or even EVERY game from a specific company.
I'd say at least 60 of the 82 games I own on Steam were via sales, and I saved anywhere between 25% to 75% off those 60 games due to the sales.
The packs that go on sale, BTW, are already a good value to get on Steam, as they already have a sale-like discount built in. When an already good-value pack goes on sale, it's almost as good as getting a game for free. #;-}>
Alright. So it´s also like a big community a bit similar to Newgrounds?
Yes. There is a forum, too, but it's not directly in Steam, it's in its own website, and you have a different login on the forum than you do for gaming.
But yeah, there's messaging each other similar to NG PM only realtime IM.... there's profile comments, like NG.... there's profiles, of course... and there's a forum.... and there's games to play like NG's flash games, only... yeah. "Real" games. Heh. #;-}> And hell, even movies to watch (demos and promos for games, of course)!
So yeah, it really is a lot like NG if you think about it, only less advertising (you'll only get ads when you sign on in the first place, or if you visit the store), and tons more money-sucking than NG despite that. #;-}>

THANK GOD! I always hate falling in the water in those games. Infact, many people seem to be rather traumatized with water in video games. I don't bicker too much on water-based levels/games as much as a lot of gamers do. Maybe since I love the Ecco and Tomb Raider games, I don't wish to complain about water in video games too much.
Yep. Water's teh goodness.
It takes real skill to do the graphics right underwater, as well. No matter how good a game looks in the air, underwater POVs are a challenge. Gotta have that underwater murkiness without making it TOO hard to see, yanno? Good game design challenge, and every game tends to do it a bit differently.
I declare it as pulling a gfox because you were the first to go on about URLs in posts.
Pffft.
I never "went on" about them. I don't notice URLs that don't LOOK like URLs in posts, because I tend to cut and paste posts into notepad rather than reading them in the actual BBS window. And since notepad doesn't preserve the link, it's just the text of the link, not the URL, and... yeah, you know what I'm talking about (so I guess this was more for anyone else's benefit, if someone besides you is reading this part). I see.
Well, I was thinking more of Bedn's posts from before he ever got into legal trouble in the first place, actually.
If Bedn ever posted in here, it seemed likely to me that it was way back then. But I don't remember too well, in any event.... he certainly didn't post here often.

I'm around 800 right now, actually. Pretty close, dude.
So yeah, I'll be over 1000, just like I told you a month or two ago, by the end of 2009, sure. #;-}>
All of that for a game that basically cost 10 bucks. It's the best value in the history of video games. Epic.

Bleh.
Yeah, by "active" I meant more than just depositing. For me, depositing is like a daily obligation. But posting/reviewing etc... isn't. So, for me, being "active" means doing more that the obligation. =P
Well... that blows, because my activity switches on and off all the time. #;-}>
Depositing, to me, is still activity. But to all a different definition.

But of course. I'll never live those early day depositing crimes down, as long as I deposit. But that's okay. They're the reason I'm so zealous now. #;-}>

Well... it was laggy, but it still was enjoyable. However, whenever there were six or more guys on the screen, it became really laggy, probably at 1 frame per second. So, for my own good, I had to run from those places, before it was too late.
I enjoyed it, sure. But I'm also sure it could have been a lot better if my computer wasn't so old. According to Can you run it, I need, for the recommended settings, more RAM and a new video card. To sum up, a new computer would do fine. =P
Try more RAM first. RAM is really cheap, relatively. And it might fix it for you, though the "six guys on screen at one time" making your framerate plummet sounds really distressing... hmph.
There's plenty of games on Steam far less demanding on computers than TF2, also. So... anyway, you're already on Steam if you played TF2 for free, so you HAVE indeed joined the collective. WELCOME ABOARD, UNIT 11482!It's nice being part of the collective. It's so... ONLINE!!! =P

I only erase those lines when I'm doing a bit of a pyramid quote reply, and the overall post I'm trying to make is near the NG limit, so I have to watch out for space-wasting things. Yeah, I should have let you know. Although I think it wouldn't work well, because I was playing mostly on Brazilian servers, and still I had ~100 of ping. Whenever I tried playing on a foreign server, that number raised to ~250, almost unplayable. So I just stuck with the local players.
Aw. That sucks. ;_;
What kind of connection do you have, and how far are you from the major internet backbone area of Brazil?
Yes. I can't buy it online, since you need a credit card for it. So the only legal option would be buying it on a store. I think the "Orange Box" is about R$100,00 (U$ 50,00).
Man, it's a lot cheaper in the past year most other places. It shouldn't still cost that much over there.
Anyway, worry not, me and Bahamut are gonna get just TF2 for you and Wylo, we just need a sale to make it more affordable first. Half-price off happens all the time for it, so it'll be here before you know it. If you're never going to be able to play with us due to ping, that kinda blows, but... you can still have fun on local Brazilian servers, at least.
I remember reading about this. Molotov used to be the original X-Naut, right? And what was X-Naut's nickname before the change?
Yes, Molotov was once X-Naut. Before he was X-Naut, he was about 10 other names, BTW. I once made a list of them all because he changed usernames like once every 2 weeks or at most once every month. Back in 2003-2004. But anyway, he actually stayed on X-Naut for YEARS. And that's why I and many others think of him/know him only as X-Naut. The bastard changed his name one last time to crappy ol' Molotov, and then a fake X-Naut moved in on the name that he had been known by for fucking YEARS. That led to the whole fake/real X-Naut dramas, which were really comedies, not dramas. #;-}>
But in short: what would you think if after 10 years of being gfoxcook on NG, I changed my name to chilimonkey or something and let some newbie take gfoxcook, and not only that... but this new gfoxcook posted in the SAME AREAS of the site that I still post, eh?
That'd be lame, confusing, weird, and.... many other things. So many that it's hard to find a single word that encapsulates the experience.

Years and years ago, many of us wanted a level system where you could DISPLAY any weapon you'd already earned in the past next to your posts and/or in your profile, if you liked it better than your current level's weapon. Nope. It's a silent awareness that just comes over me.

Those bastards. :::thhhhhhbpts iscrulz and Bahamut:::
TF2 is the most fun multiplayer FPS ever, and has no plot, no start and no finish, and... thus... comparing how many hours of a single player game with a storyline like a Zelda game... you have... to how much time in TF2... is not even comparing apples and oranges... it's like comparing eating chocolate ice cream to hiking up a mountain!I can say that TF2 was one of the most fun games that I've played in a while. It doesn't have a serious ambient, unlike HL and CS, and the class variety is always a good thing. I really need to find it in a store.
Yes. It's very un-serious. Some people PLAY it seriously, take their skill at it seriously, or take losing/getting killed seriously... but all you have to do if you start taking it too seriously is LOOK AT THE SCREEN. It's so fun. It's meant to be a game, not a grind or a job like some games become to professional (or wannabe professional) gamers.
Gotta love the TF2s.
Look on the bright side - at least there aren't "OMFG leval 9 taiks 4EVAR!!!1!" users anymore! =)

Might be even earlier than that.
I know one thing for sure: my own congrats listing began not in LUL, but rather in the top 50 saves topic. My old updates back in 2003 and 2004 in there (go check the early pages yourself for some nice historical funs) always featured a section before the top 50 list update itself wherein I congratulated every one who was in the list for any b/p rank-ups they got. So I ended up with a little uniquely-formatted congrats list for nothing but various EG ranks being attained by elite saviours.
Fun times. Fun times.
Not only that, but I think I remember that for every user and every rank-up, I also put WHICH # they were. i.e. the 4th to that rank or the 20th to that rank or whatever.

You don't need adblocking on Opera as much, as it's more stable and secure than Firefox, and doesn't let pop-ups through as much as vanilla Firefox does.
Also, passwords ARE saved differently in Opera, but what you do is get the Password Wand to remember a password for a username on any site... and then when you're on that site (might have to be exact... i.e. what works on www.newgrounds.com won't work on bahamut.newgrounds.com), you simply click the magic wand near the URL bar and it auto-fills the password for you PLUS hits enter/logs you in.
So if you want to stay logged in always, make sure to check that "stay logged in" checkbox BEFORE you hit the magic wand button.

It was Rockstar's attempt at semi-realism. Every new GTA, they always try a few new things.
On the plus side, realism-wise... you can swim in GTAs now, instead of drowning immediately if you fall in a puddle of water like in GTA3 or GTA:VC.

No, I'm saying that the haxxors deleted the sig text/sig pic off both my posting accounts (yep, they even hit gfoxclock, who hadn't posted since March), and I had to come up with a new pic because my old pic's transparency was fucked all of a sudden. It used to work, maybe it's because I hadn't changed in it in like 4 years.... so I had to do one with the NG BBS background colour instead of transparency, and then I noticed it was SHRINKING THE FUCK out of the oldstyle NG b/p rank badges, so my sigpic was so tiny the old way, I figured why not get rid of the old Colonel badge (with no laurels on it), and do a nice mirrored pic with the EGSC at the middle, and all those lovely General ranks with pretty green laurels on 'em flanking it on BOTH SIDES.
et voila! It is done.
Also, I edited the text/links a bit and added a link to Bahamut's pentalist next to my old defunct pentalist info about a very very very old update now. #;-}>

Well is there an accent in either direction, I can't think of anything else it would be,
There's no accents above letters in Japanese. English letters, I mean. Japanese characters themselves have two different marks that can be above and to the right of them... and those marks are somewhat like an accent mark in appearance, I suppose, but rather than affect the vowel sound like accents do in Europe, they change the consonant sound (for instance sa becomes za with such a mark, or ta becomes da).
the Wii has lots of charactres like that, so I will check, I won't check.
Wii has characters like that for people trying to type in Spanish or French or whatever, dude, it's nothing to do with Japanese.

Well, anyone can pop up in a topic about themselves if they:
A) obsessively search for topics about themselves either on NG's search or google or something... or:
B) have a network of informants that would notify them via PM or e-mail or IM if such a topic ever occurs.
Still it´s weird though. It´s a single released in between two albums, like Electrical Storm, but both those albums were released shortly after eachother... Why not wait to release it with the album and make it the "promotional single" or something?
Well, Electrical Storm was a very different sort of single from U2. Instead of being associated with any one album like MOST singles are/were... wasn't it released on one of the decade-BestOfs double-discs?
We do have Under A Blood Red Sky here. My dad's bought all the albums U2 ever released except for Wide Awake In America and 16 singles. And I like how he got an original LP of October, even though our LP player doesn´t work so well anymore..
Oh, you do have it? Awesome. Well, listen to more Party Girl and 11 O'Clock Tick Tock, then! They'll grow on ya.
Nothing wrong with having old LPs but no way to play them. I have lots of old 1970s LPs but no record player as of now. Vinyl is nice just to have, especially for the HUGE cover art. #;-}>
But the last time I listened to UABRS was several years ago I think. And I didn´t even listen to the album in full then. Just Sunday Bloody Sunday, New Years Day perhaps and it´s how I got familiar with The Electric Co. (which is I think my second favourite U2 song ever). I just always skipped 11 O Clock Tick Tock and songs like that because I didn´t know them and didnt wanted to know them I guess.
Stop skippin'! Listen to the whole danged thing next time you listen to it. #;-}>
And now that I think about, I´m actually not that familiar with the early U2 albums, except for Boy. I haven´t given October and War a good listen yet. Should do that some of these days.
Is the only reason you're familiar with Boy because Electric Co from UABRS got you to listen to Boy beyond I Will Follow more?
War is an excellent album, start to finish. A couple songs on there I sometimes skip, but it's definitely in the top 5 U2 albums to listen to from start to finish.
Okay I think I get your point now. And I think you´re right about this. What´s released on the albums might just be one side of a band and it sometimes is the only side we get to know. And it might be completely different from how they actually are.
Yeah, pretty much.
And yes indeed I thought No Line On The Horizon sounded a little weird at first. But I had the same feelings with HTDAAB. With U2 I just always gotta get used to it I guess. Giving an album a few more listens, it always starts to sound better and better to me. But in NLOTH case I´m afraid I´ll have to put it on the very bottom of my favourite U2 albums list. It just doesn´t appeal to me that much.
Ah well. They can't live forever. At some point their music is either gonna disappoint you or they're gonna stop releasing it. One way or the other, it has to end.
Okay that seems nice. I like how you can have a whole personal page with all kinds of achievements for each game. And keeping track of number of hours played and all.
It only keeps track of your hours played in the past 14 days. Cept for Left4Dead, which aims to keep track of your total playtime (but it does so via a counter that doesn't work quite right... not sure how it reconciles time spent in game vs. in-lobby, in menus, etc...). Oh wait, and TF2 keeps track of your total playtime for each class, which means you can add them all up and get your actual total playtime (only alive, not waiting to respawn). But yeah, in terms of actual time with the game RUNNING, Steam only keeps track of that in "past 14 days" increments.
What is this Steam I keep hearing you talk about by the way? I know it´s something for PC gaming, but I´m not quite sure what it does... =/
Steam is a program by Valve (the makers of all Half-Life, Team Fortress, Portal, and Left4Dead games) that lets you buy and install and play 100s of games by many different production companies without having to worry about copy protection or losing discs, boxes, or manuals. It lets you install and play the games on any computer in the world you want to (but you can only be logged in/playing on one computer at a time).
Those links to game stats in the post of mine you were replying to... they can be followed on the web, like you just did, or through Steam itself (Steam is built on IE, unfortunately, but it runs fine even so). It also lets you keep a friendslist, and IM with your friends, find games to play that your friends are already in, and do full chats in groups you can join.

I think you're only 5 days behind him as of late, from what I noticed recently while doing catchups in the various list threads (the exp thread being the likely reason for me to notice such a thing, of course).
So yeah, I'd wager you'll be gaining that ranking spot you've been drooling over for YEARS NOW by the 20th. #;-}>
And don't deny it'll have more significance to you than just any ol' ranks, man! I know you wanna pass all 3 of my accounts someday, so passing the 1st of the three will be quite the treat for you. #;-}>
Well, I still wanna see about whether I can do the "edging forward with a save or blam here or there and then going weeks without voting again and thus avoid depositing" thing.Don't forget, you can still get an additional 4 points to avoid that pesky deposit ;)
Bahamut ran an experiment for me with one of his alts. You can vote on 2 or 3 things one day, then wait a week and vote on 2 or 3 things again and NOT deposit. NG doesn't keep track of your 5-votes-to-deposit voting past a week at most. #;-}>
But I'll be to 36/36 by 8/15 anyway, I reckon.
I've got some perverted Mel Gibson wannabe to beat first. He still thinks he can beat me to 100k, so good for him :P
LOL.
Well, I should do - I've closed the gap by 1,000 Points over the last month down to 1,500 ish, so he shouldn't be able to put up too much of a fight.
Isn't it a bit closer than 1500ish now?
Yeah, but I'll still be around to chat with people. If I'm still on Newgrounds, I'm still doing stuff. If I can't carry on posting, B/Ping and reviewing, why bother depositing experience? Sure, taking a holiday and getting someone else to deposit for me is acceptable, but then I come back and carry on where I left off.
So you say... but time changes things. Anyway, I can easily see myself in an only-depositing NG role in the future. After all, for (somewhat) short periods of time in the past few years I've basically been there already.
I'd like to think that in addition to depositing for my main two accounts once I retire my 3rd in August, that I'll still be posting on my main and b/ping on my alt in addition to getting exp for them both, but the truth is that from time to time, all I'll be doing for semi-long stretches is just get exp on both of them. This is nothing new, nothing to be alarmed about, and doesn't mean a person is quitting NG, yanno?
I'd rather go into "life support" mode on NG than leave altogether is what it really boils down to. And I'm always thankful to see others who follow the same pattern, because it's better than no pulse at all.

In short... I LIKE TO WATCH? O_o
Ah, interesting. I knew about Paul Hogan and Steve Irwin, of course, but TF2 is news to me. But then, I'm not into shooter games big time (except for DOOM, which I still play regularly even today).
TF2 isn't just a FPS, it's also a series of great short films and many many many fan-made machinima and cartoons on YouTube and Newgrounds. TF2 is much more of a pop-cultural development than just any old game, which is why I mentioned its Australian character right alongside two great pop culture icons in America that are seen to represent Aussies (whether that representation was accurate or not is another thing entirely, of course).
So anyway, I hope you watched the link that I made to the sniper for ya. Every single one of the 9 characters in the game will have an official video someday. So far only 7 have gotten it, we're still waiting on the German Medic and the ????an Pyro. #;-}>

Sure thing, I'll look into it.I think that's so, but I'm not too sure. I've noticed some of my alts I meant to stop depositing for I accidentally voted on them a few times (no deposits, though) and later, the voting was reset so I'd have to vote for 5 more flashes to deposit again.Well, can you help me out by confirming that? i.e. if you have an alt you stopped depositing for, but it wouldn't kill you if it gained 10 exp by accident, vote on 2 movies for it today and see what it says... "4 more till deposit..." and "3 more till deposit..." hopefully... and then in a couple weeks, vote on 2 more movies for it again, and see if it says "4 more, 3 more" again or if it says "2 more, 1 more..."

Yeah, I just wanted to drop by and let you know I saw that as well. It was one of the many affiliate logos, and when I saw that giant-ass pic, I figured that was exactly the case: that the pics themselves were all being supplied by the sites being linked to, and clearly one of them got haxxxxxxxxxxxxxed and any site linking to imageshack (or whatever) via such a server-side pic... was showing this giant-ass ballooned image down there where a tiny little rectangle is supposed to be.
Aside from copying all the images to your own server space, BTW, I would assume you could probably just put some height + width tags on all those image files and even if the image file changed (like happened that day), it would stay within the small rectangle space it's supposed to occupy.

I thought pulling a gfox meant posting 4 straight nearly 8k-long posts in a Wi/Ht? list topic or LUL after disappearing for 2-4 weeks? #;-}>

Hey, for once I posted twice in a topic while someone who tends to post more often than me posted 0 times.... WIN FOR TEH GFOX! #;-}>
Now ye know how I feel when I come into topics to catch up! (usually, that is)

That's why I've barely moved since I retired in 2005.Yeah, good that I don't plan to reitre in the near future. I was thinking of stopping at 33,333 B/P or something like that. But then I felt something was missing in my daily routine. So I just vote on UJ flashes whenever I find the time and I don't care about my pace that much anymore.
A lot of people have been mentioning either 33,000 or 33,333 lately. There's a whole lot of trinity-lovin' goin' on.
Yes, but they were never on the old profiles. So when they were added to the left column, it felt artificial. When you speak of "old profiles", how old are these profiles exactly? When I started reviewing (well... commenting) audio in 2006 audio reviews where already added to that nifty pop-up profile.
But I remember something like "audio reviews by Haggard: ~none~" from way before 2006...
I'm talking about profiles from 2002 until the redesign in 2007. Profiles had only minor changes during that huge period.
You might be right about that, but even if so, it was a late addition. Earlier changes to the profiles during that period included:
1. removal of the popularity ranking stat
2. addition of the NG sticker stat
3. addition of the audio submissions pull-down menu
4. some other additions in that flash/audio section in between the top area with level icon/exp info and the bottom area with b/p and post info.
They're there because they fit with flash reviews right above them. Doesn't mean I have to see them equally (I never took the stickerstat that seriously, either... or popularity, for that matter... and both of those were on the old profiles... exceptions that prove the rule).Yeah, stickers are something you have to pay for, you don't get them for doing anything on the site, so they are different from all the other stats.
And popularity was also different because it wasn't YOU who done anything (except for luring people on your profile maybe).
And because it was just a ranking. There wasn't even a count of anything.... it was as mysterious a stat as whistles/whistle power were early on.
Bah. Screw that future. I choose to write a different future: where the values we have now as NG statwhores are PRESERVED, goddamnit! And where we have our profiles linked to our userIDs again?
I dream of such a day.
Technically, they still are, seeing as how our profile banners and profile pics still contain our user ID#s in their URLs. But yes, I miss being able to see id#s for ALL profiles, and I miss being able to pull up a profile by just its #.
I kinda wish that it was an either/or system. Either you could use username OR user ID#... to pull up profiles. Ah well.

Once upon a time that would have likely been the first stat you got to 10k. My, how times change. 4th stat.... amazing.
It'll be weird when I do get there, considering it's been a goal of mine pretty much ever since I discovered the joy of stats. It'll be all the more rewarding too, seeing as blams are somewhat more difficult to come by these days.
It's wild to think of a NG stat experience that began with a pentalist-related goal, seeing as how the pentalist wasn't around when I first started becoming a NG stathead. Always glad to be reminded how the list I created way back in 2003 had such an impact on a few of you guys. #;-}>

Hawt stuff. 14.14 was groovy, I noticed that for a few days while depositing. On to 14.15 already... onwards and upwards, even at such heights.
I can't believe the top 3 rounded up to such high gains for the update period. Good ol' crazy roundings. Next time I'll be +0.05 and they'll be +0.02, though. And so the swinging back and forth goes and goes and goes...
It's wild being at the same xx.xx range as the top dogs, I just noticed.... course, won't be too long before YoinK hits 15+ VP and then it'll be a REALLY long wait for 15 VP myself, but... eh.... 10 to 14 took a long time, and getting into the top 50 exp list is taking a long time... I'm sure I can wait out 14 to 15. Should be a piece of cake in comparison to those two waits. #;-}>

NOW do you see why I detest EA?
Yes, but at least they're not Activision, apparently. #;-}>
Pffft, Activision have actually discouraged people from selling guitars individually before.
Well, A) they can't stop PEOPLE from selling them to each other, even if they can stop stores from doing so.
And... B) then they're stupid, because they're costing themselves Steam sales. They should let Steam sell GH games and support individual guitar purchasing for PCs... OR... they could always just send a free guitar to every person who buys a GH game on Steam. That works, too. #;-}>
WoW has a bad addiction value while Facebook is just...UGH! I find both to be as bad as each other.
On WOW, you (presumably) do fun RPGy things.
On Facebook you shmooze with other self-important bastiches and play some sort of poke-the-sheep game or somesuchshit.
I think I'll take WOW if I have to choose one of the two.
And dishonourable mention goes to newer Simpsons. Also, fat Selphie, wtf?
That was Selphie? I had no idea who it was supposed to be.

Speaking of which, what was his exp rank? Man, a lot of people got a nice free +1 boost. Gotta be the exp rank boost version of SevenStar's deletion (a b/p rank boost for many).
