Hm, sounds good, but where do I get Lederhosen quickly enough so I won't be late for the riot?
Also, I'm all out of beer and sausage. :(

It is acceptable that you are a German without lederhosen, but... I find it highly unacceptable that you do not have 24/7/365 access to beer and/or sausage.

You sicken me, sir. ;_;

Heavy: HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?

At 10/19/09 10:35 AM, Bahamut wrote: Yes, Cloud really needs to play more TF2. And no, I won't change my name to Cloud. I'll be back to Bahamut before calling myself Cloud on Steam.

Good, good.

Indeed, the game seems to be doing well right now but I gotta play it myself and see how awesome it is. I'm sure it will be, though.

Grooveh. Have you (played it yet, that is)? I haven't talked to you about it on Steam in a month or two, so apparently this is our most recent convo about it now (whodathunkit... a current and relavent convo between teh Bahamut and teh gfox... on NG of all places?!?!? (gasparoni!)).

But if you were in hell and Satan asked you whether you'd rather play WOW or use facebook for all eternity, I hope you'd be able to choose one over the other at that point. (and choose wisely--i.e. choose the one you DON'T really want to do, since he'll make you do the other one, since he's evil and all... unless he can read minds, in which case you're fucked, anyway).
I hope there's an option to not choose either then.

I can't believe I tried facebook, my greater of the two evils... before I tried WOW, my lesser of the two evils.

The good news is, I don't find facebook that addicting. I haven't been on in.... 5 days. Might catch-up on it tonight, but catch-up for me on FB is going to = only looking at one or two people's walls rather than scanning my whole damned news/live feed for stuff, especially when it's mostly FB crack-filled-game-spam, anyway.... and then perhaps checking for PMs and friend requests and... that's about it. O_O

I don't post stuff on my own that often, and I rarely reply to others' stuff. I'm mostly using it as a means to find old IRL and online friends to IM with/e-mail with/PM with/just stay in something approaching decent levels of contact with. Which will come in handy for you should I ever disappear entirely off the face of NG. #;-}>

No wait, it was Quistis. ;_; Ah well, FFVIII isn't one of my favourites anyway.
Yeah, I realised what iscrulz meant when he referenced a female RG user.

Yeah, FFVIII's pretty weak and I have to agree with almost everything said by Spoony. <---LINK

Dear Tom, please change my username to BorisJohnson :P That might not mean much to non-English types.

I didn't recall who that was off-hand, but after wiki-googling him, yes... London's mayor, I know of him and his reputation. Didn't realise the full extent of it, nor the namechangery aspect, till just now when I read up on it.

Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson, eh?

The TV sections on 'Have I Got News for You' and 'Who Do You Think You Are?' were particularly enlightening, in terms of his history with names (and the forgetting of and getting wrong of and such)! #;-}>

The only namechangery I ever do is from gfoxcook to gfox (did that on Steam because gfoxcook was too confusing/long/misinterpretable/misprono unced by TF2 players with mics, so I switch after a few months of being on Steam).
How can people fail to pronounce gfoxcook? "Gee-Focks-Cuhk" So simple. I'm still suffereing from people calling me Co-op, instead of Coop! See my ode to Shalashaska-1 for more info.

You'd be surprised. On at least two occasions a bit over a year ago, summer of '08 when I was new to Steam... I had 2-3 people fuck up gfoxcook over the mic, back before I had a mic (my baby got us one this past June, kinda a semi-birthday present to me, since I use it way more than her).

I can't remember exactly how they all screwed it up, but.... at least one of them was trying to tell me/ask me something important, gameplay/strategy/tactics wise.... and he stumbled after "gfox..." and couldn't finish the cook. Maybe it was just too long/too many syllables for him. O_o

But another one of them definitely didn't even get through the gfox, he fucked the fox up. In light of that... I suppose even gfox can be fucked up (girlfriend + ox?), but... yes, not often. I changed from gfoxcook to gfox because of the incidents mentioned above... back over a year ago, by August last year, and in the 15+ months since, have had little-to-no name confusion issues. Maybe one "gfox or whatever" in a snarky voice. Jeez... 4 fucking letters, people. Can't get much shorter than that. o_o

Oh, and on a semi-related TF2-+-my-username-angle... I've had at least 3 people assume I was a furry, which is hilarious. In their defense (unless they were just being evil/jokey bastards, and at least 1 of them definitely was), there are an amazing amount of people playing TF2 with names that include animal names in them, but... of course, there's no way they could know my fox originally referred to Fox Mulder and not our canine-ish friend in the wild (and/or the chicken coop) and then became my nom de plume of the intarwebs forever more.

Aw. I wanted a European style mob with pitchforks and torches, not a Springfield-like one. ;_;
So, Haggard in Lederhosen, drinking vast quantities of beer and eating sausage? This would be coupled with Auz riding a bike, wearing clogs and smoking the biggest joint / bong that he could find. Sonofkirk would walk by wearing a horizontally striped Navy Blue and White tight top, beret and string of onions, while Insanimation would be wearing a matador's outfit. As for me, I would pull up in my chauffeur driven Bentley, get out, wearing my top hat and monocle, before brandishing a cricket bat for the riot.

LOL! Add a Scotsman, an Irishman, and perhaps a few other assorted characters from Scandinavia and Eastern Europe and we've got ourselves a party!

Kudos on the above merry-go-round of stereotypes, BTW... the only one I wouldn't have been able to even come close to duplicating... would have been the Spanish one. I don't know Insanimation that well, so... couldn't have told you (or anyone) he was Spanish. Thanks for the FYI, there. #;-}>

Oh, and Bahamut would fly past and fire bomb whatever we were about to lynch with his mega-flare :P

At 7/17/09 01:36 PM, Coop83 wrote: ADGBCer? What a quaint term.
I always wonder what that term meant all this time.
It means someone from ADGBC.com. In the beginning, that was people who were members of ADG (anime club on NG) and/or BC (blam club on NG).
Both of whom I have problems with. Anime is not proper animation, plus mass voting is to be abhorred.

Well, I stumbled into the Blam Club thread on NG in '03 or early '04 or something, and by that time, it was defunct, having basically outlived its purpose and usefulness by late 2002 when the save stat was introduced, no?

I then found my way to their humble forums in '04 and continued my friendship with the Blam Club folk I already knew some of from NG and some new anime club folk that I'd never met on NG (due to not frequenting that particular C&C thread), and.... it's been a good home away from home this past half-decade.

You don't have to like anime or blamming to find yourself at home, we're like a very quiet, very deserted version of the bar from Cheers. #;-}>

Lastly... I don't have an opinion on whether or not anime is proper animation or not, I wouldn't begin to claim knowledge of (or care about) what makes a cartoon proper... I do happen to enjoy some anime, not as much as most anime fans, perhaps... just like any other genre/medium, there's good and there's bad, and you find what you like. You can't possibly tell me you've never heard of/seen yourself a good anime!

If so.... egad, man! Get yourself some Bubblegum Crisis, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Utena, or Escaflowne... stat!

No, I'm not catching up on LUL quite yet, but I happened to open up page 2500 and 2501 and 2502 just to see what was going on back then (as I hadn't had time to even read a bit of 'em when I posted on said pages days/weeks/whenever ago)...

And I saw this interesting convo about alts and alts of alts and such youse guys was having, so I had to chime in real quick. I'm really here just to reply to VP and Pentalist, which I shall be doing in a matter of minutes/hours (depending on whether or not I play some L4D with Bahamut before I finish reading the threads/getting ready to post). Also, Crysis (which I finally got b/c it was on sale for $15 this weekend on Steam) is calling my name, as well.....

Anyway, under all this alt-alt-alt replying is a bit of miscellaneous/sports-related Coop replying due to me noticing some things I wanted to reply to there, too. But that's it... for now!

You should ask Mr. Cook about that. I think he's jealous of his alt gfox, because it has this awesome alt gfoxclock.
Alt alts or whatever are still alts.

First of all, if either of those two accounts are alts of each other, it would be gfox being an alt of gfoxclock. gfox was made in 2004, gfoxclock was made in 2003. How gfoxclock could be gfox's alt, I have no idea. O_o

Second of all, gfox is not gfoxclock's alt, it's gfoxcook's alt, same as gfoxclock.

They're both 1st generation alts. They're brothers. Older and younger, that's all... not twins.

END OF STORY. Jeeeez.... Haggard totally misinterpreting my accounts' history on NG... FTL-but-not-really. #;-}>

Yeah, but I still didn't watch a single pitch live. I'll get to see all of the World Series live though as Thursday is the first day of Holiday. I'll watch game 1 on Wednesday night on short rest, but I'll be there!

Congrats on your Yanks winning, BTW. Being happy for you and the 2 other people I consider friends-despite-them-being-Yankees-fans.
... was about the only good thing to come out of the 2009 MLB season for me.

Well... that and the Cubs not winning the WS (let alone getting into the postseason). That made my year, as it always does. #;-}>

Funny thing about you and the other two people I mention (both of which being TF2 players on Steam).... is that NONE of ye is from the Bronx. Yet my fiancee, who most certainly is... hates the Yankees (albeit not as much as I, since she's not much of a baseball fan) due to her mom being a Mets fan and instilling that sort of passion from an early age, even despite her general lack of sports interest (though still higher than that of many of the female persuasion)).

Fascinating, eh?

[faint grumblings are heard about bandwagons and Houston teams unjustly not getting any love outside a 100-mile radius...]

Speaking of which... my Dynamo should have beaten the L.A. Galaxy 1-0 Friday night, but instead lost 2-0 in overtime. It's. A. Fucking. Crime. And why was the crime committed in this case, aside from Houston not getting any love compared to Los Angeles, as usual?

Thanks to the three titans of Newgrounds past and present that I've passed now - Ehwaz003, schneelocke and bila. Thanks also to iscrulz, but it's hard to get excited about that.

Hard to get excited about! If anything, it should be more exciting than passing the rest of those schmoes. They aren't engaged in constant smacktalk with you, after all.

Looks like I'm on for a few milestones before the next update, as well - 20k Exp; 23k Blams and 16k Posts. I hope that the review numbers will climb suitably as well. I'm still too low to start dreaming of 10k, but you never know what the future holds.

Pentalist update #16 is up!

Yayyyy.

Thanks for the update. I'd been checking (the old link...) a few times in the past month and wondering why it was still showing an August update... can you let me know next time you switch hosts, plz? I need to change the link in my sig to point at this webs.com site instead of bravehost.com or whatever it was at prior (update #15 is still showing as most recent there).

Welcome to 36Holla, firebot00, Luxury-Yacht and SBB. firebot00 entered with 10k EXP and 10k saves while 36Holla, Luxury-Yacht and SBB entered with 10k EXP and 10k posts.

Woooot. 36 HOLLA!

Status Changes: skatin-andy from 2x10k to 3x10k.

Grats on triplelistedness, dude I vaguely remember the name of!

Enjoy my 16th 2x10k Pentalist update!

Prediction: I'll be passing MPA on the same update Coop passes me, so it'll amount to a no-change in the end.

Real problem: Coop's got other big waves (though not quite as big as himself) right behind him... he's bringing DOOM. DOOM FOR ALL OF US. IN HIS WAKE. I HAVE FORESEEN IT. ;_;

WHERE'S THE JOKE?! I DON'T GET IT! <--- That's a link BTW.

I actually watched that. Can I have my 23 minutes back now, please?

That appears to be a horrible movie, yes, especially awful considering the talent level of the actors the horrible writing ended up wasting... but I feel like the 23 minutes I just spent watching his review were possibly just as wasted as 23 minutes spent watching 1/4 (I'm assuming it's ~90 minutes long) of that movie.

I don't enjoy his reviewing style. He's one part Mr. Cranky from 1990s internet fame, and two parts MST3K, but with far less charm and funniness than either. And he mispronounced Julia Louis-Dreyfus. It's not "Lewis," it's "Louise." Jeeeez.... Where was HE during the 90s, anyway? Seems to know about Seinfeld's characters, but never heard one of the main four actors' names pronounced out loud before? O_o

Nope, not at all. It'll be all about stories and no social networking shit.

Well obviously. But many things can be used for purposes they weren't originally intended for. Not that Tom Fulp intended our profiles to only be used for one narrow use, but... the newspost system within them is already being used for a wide variety of uses that he couldn't possibly have foreseen, yanno?

It remains to be seen what will come from the lit portal when it arrives. Hopefully mostly good stuff.

HISSSSSSSSS.

Well, Portal is judged upon different merits than most games. Does MGS4 have as many fun, challenging sidegames/minigames as Portal?
Do they really matter? What matters is the game itself.

Of course they matter. Sidegames and minigames and other such things add to replayability, add to potential challenge/difficulty, and add to the variety of gameplay styles present in a game.

If they're in the game, they're in the game. They ARE the game itself, dude. The game is more than the sum of its plot. Come on, now, surely you know that.

A game is not a book. Portal is not just the storyline of the main SP mode. It is also the wacky shit you can do without following the plot, the crazy things you have to do for some of the tougher achievements (that aren't gotten automatically by playing the game "normally"), and the challenge/puzzle modes you do (usually) after you've finished the plot mode!

I refer to the least-time, least-steps, and least-portals challenge modes, plus the advanced maps. If you add in all of those things, I'll bet Portal is longer than MGS4, from the sounds of it. Without need of any cutscenes to pad the length. #;-}>
That's just comparing them in a different way. If it were games themselves, MGS4 would be longer, even if you cut all the cutscenes.

Longer isn't better.

Anyway, I've only played MGS1, and it felt long enough to me, but I wasn't skipping cutscenes. If I were to replay it and skip cutscenes, I might change my view.
Have you ever replayed MGS1? I'd say that game has great replay value since every time I want to play MGS4, I'm always beating it at least twice to view both endings.

Yes, I've replayed MGS1 once. I've also replayed Portal once (the plot part, I mean). I enjoyed my replay of Portal more. :::shrugs:::

I should have mentioned in my earlier posts that I loved Ben's PEE MAN series most of all. There were only 3 movies in it, so that's probably why people aren't mentioning it anywhere near as much as they're now mentioning Stick Slayer or Pimp's Quest, which yes... were more famous...

... But PEE MAN will always be what I remember him for, most of all. I'm sad there's no possibility of a PEE MAN IV, too... but what a great trilogy that is as it stands now. How lucky we are to have been graced by those peeful flashes. Long live PEE MAN.

Well, could we at LEAST memorialise the ones who didn't get into a school shooting or a gunfight with cops before they offed themselves? That's the decent way to go, after all. (not being sarcastic, even though it might sound like sarcasm right there...)

R.I.P., Ben. You were about to turn the same age as me in another week or so... I lost my best friend *(and his mom/brother to a drunk driver) when I was in 7th grade, so it's not like death of a peer is something I haven't experienced before, but... it's always unsettling when the people near your age (or younger) start to drop. I didn't know Ben, but I saw a few of his flashes way back in 2001-2003ish... really sucks that so many artists from the past 10 years of NG history are already gone, and here's another one to add to the list.

Deep cliched shit: Birth's a mystery. Death's just something we have to deal with, of course. Living's that awkward thing in between.

Yep. 12, 13, what's to stop it from going to 14 at that point, then?

Might as well just make it a 36-column Google spreadsheet that you make public to NG and let us browse through instead of a list, at that point. #;-}>

Eh. It's not like it's a full game. It's like an ep 1 or ep 2 for HL2, only it's not even that important because you don't care as much about individual GTA plots as you do about Half-Life's arc plot. Or at least... you shouldn't, if you're a fan of both series. HL plot = matters. GTA plot = discarded when they switch cities again (which is often).
I still wish to get them nonetheless, but of course, I need to have a 360 in order to get them. I just like bonuses, that's all. Again, I'm still unsure as to which platform I'll get GTA4 on.

Eh, didn't say there was anything wrong with it. If I could easily (and cheaply) buy the Lost and the Damned for my Steam PC version of GTA4, I would probably do so. Similar to how I'll probably end up getting some (if not all) of the FO3 DLC at some point.

Just saying that if I never can due to MS, Valve, and/or Rockstar not getting their shit together, I won't give that much of a damn.

I'd rather be able to buy LCS (for the first time) and VCS (for the second time) for Steam, personally. I wish they were available. ;_;

Sooo... sounds like MGS4 is a pretty quick game, then.
It is, it's even shorter when you skip all the cutscenes. Then again, so were MGS1 - 3. All fantastic games and longer than Portal (gameplay time-wise) nonetheless.

Well, Portal is judged upon different merits than most games. Does MGS4 have as many fun, challenging sidegames/minigames as Portal? Anyway, I've only played MGS1, and it felt long enough to me, but I wasn't skipping cutscenes. If I were to replay it and skip cutscenes, I might change my view.

Portal was plenty long, especially in light of the extra/more challenging side stuff I mentioned above... plus, it was part of the HL universe, and that makes anything cooler than the same length of gametime in another stupid gameworld. #;-}>

Yes, but at least they're not Activision, apparently. #;-}>
No, but there is a high level of fail coming from EA. The only respect I can give them is for publishing Brutal Legend.

I'm hearing more and more about that game now. Back in July, I hadn't heard about it till you were talking about it on Steam, but I'm hearing more and more now. Good stuff, hope it does well.

I think I'll take WOW if I have to choose one of the two.
Meh, I find both to be as bad as each other and I'll leave it at that.

Allrighty then. We'll agree to disagree.

That was Selphie? I had no idea who it was supposed to be.
No wait, it was Quistis. ;_; Ah well, FFVIII isn't one of my favourites anyway.

Yeah, I realised what iscrulz meant when he referenced a female RG user.

But I seriously had no idea until then. Not one of my fave FFs either, to say the least.

Better than forgetting to do the entire update for a whole week b/c you were playing L4D that whole week, I suppose. #;-}>

If I'd still been updating lists when I got TF2, trust me... starting to play TF2 would have been the final nail in that coffin. Intent-to-retire-from-listmaking post would have been posted in any and all list topics of mine within that week (first week of July 2008)!

At 9/5/09 02:57 PM, Sanjay wrote: Wow, I never realised how many people are over 10.00VP! I myself recently passed 10 votes even with my pathetic b/p total. Maybe this will be my motivation to start blamming and protecting again.
There are even more than the list. I'd look up the exact number but its on another computer which I'm too lazy to look up.

The number used to be quite small, though... not so very long ago.

You know what would be an awesome stat for the list stats section above the actual VP list, Wylo? A "% of NG above 10.00 VP" stat.

I wonder what the current % is, and what it was when, say... the top 50 was above 10.00. Well, that's not that hard, I suppose. If we include deleted accounts, that is... assume around 1 million accounts (including deleted) back around that time would put it at 0.005% of NG above 10.00 VP. #;-}>

Now if that don't make a guy like Sanjay who just hit 10 VP feel elite, what will?

Anyway, that % is much higher by now... but... maybe not THAT much, actually. #;-}>

Like a fine, fine wine... the VP list only gets better with age.

Passed myself an alexsmolik - alex, you've officially been Cooped, to carry on gfoxcook's recognition of this as an underground meme.

You're damned lucky your name is so short and simple and pleasant on the ears, or else this meme would most certainly NOT have gained my appreciation/support/use. #;-}>

Though it does look like my next victim on this list will be XwaynecoltX - Aksumka looks to have been a little slower here, but with a short update period, I can't really tell...

:::shrugs::: they'll both go down eventually, does it really matter who goes first? KILL ZEM ALL, let Heavy sort them out. </Medic>

I quite like WavyGravy - really nice name. Not sure about either MiharuForever or Sispri, to be honest.

Perfectly nice name. For a new user.

I'll never call BR WavyGravy, and half the time I see him post, I probably won't even remember who he is.

Namechanging is for people who don't want old friends to recognise them. It's sorta... unabomber-ish. Or like someone in a witness protection program. Whatever, point being.... ugh.

The only namechangery I ever do is from gfoxcook to gfox (did that on Steam because gfoxcook was too confusing/long/misinterpretable/misprono unced by TF2 players with mics, so I switch after a few months of being on Steam).

Or here, gfoxcook/gfoxclock funs, of course. #;-}>

Nothing odd about an ADGBCer, my friend. Well, nothing odder than anything about a NGer, at least.

So, as I didn't know him that well, I'll just say: "WOHOO! +1 in Exp for me!" just like Coop did in the LUL. ;)
Hooray, I've climbed one step higher, but I won't actually acknowledge that I've officially passed Bedn until I reach about 20,500 Experience.

Anything that combines a great TV show like Colbert's and a great video game like TF2... is indeed awesome.
Yes indeed even though I never played TF2 I just know a few characters, barely.

TF2 is now internet pop culture, much like Portal and Half-Life. There is no escaping the memes from it, even if you never play it for 5 mins in your life.

Much like I can't help but know a shitload of stuff from WOW even though I haven't played 5 seconds of it, let alone 5 minutes of it.

I have plenty of success wasting my own time, I don't need more web 2.0 sites to do it for me.
Here Here lets waste it on web 1.0 and having the gay anal seckors with the secret lovers. Any website that goes mainstream sucks balls in a bad way.

NG is web 1.666 (and sometimes 1.669). That's the web I wanna stick with.

Weeeeeerd.
I am glad you agree I can tolerate myspace but not the 2.0 inteface change I liked all the shitty custom backgrounds and features. Like mine streched down and right for many page downs and that.

Myspace was around longer than the rest of the annoying new "social" sites. I don't differentiate. They're all not places for me, I don't have accounts on any of them, and I refrain from going to them unless I have to/am curious about something (such as what a dude at Valve has on his twitter or such as what songs are playing on this movie star's myspace or bullshit like that... I'm guilty of such lame curiosity at times... but not very often).

I waste enough time on youtube and wiki, my ng time is practically nothing because of gaming and those 2 sites. Don't need anything else, really.

Current.tv and hulu and a few other places are fun, too. I basically use the web for NG, ADGBC, searches, wikitrapping myself, and lots and lots of video content/news content of various sources.

shrugs::: Haven't even clicked a link to it in years (whereas it's hard to avoid a digg or facebook or twitter link every now and then, even when trying to avoid such sites as a general rule), so... I wouldn't know.
I am not going to stumble apon stumbleupon thats for sure but since twitter facebook and digg went mainstream to conform to the masses its hard to avoid them. I am tempted to trwell though. Clever I know shit I am signing up, how many blocks can I get.

trwell?

Is that being a troll on a site called well or something? #;-}>

*Tear my dairy queen doesn't or maybe it does I don't go there often once 2-3 months they might. But the taco burger less the lettuce and sour cream would be good eats.

I still haven't tried it. Hell, it might be over by now (limited time only thing, of course)... I haven't seen the commercial since I was telling you about it. ;_;

No idea who that is.
A female FF character some emo girl from RG very active on the site dervived her name from that.

Anyway, Cloud seemed to have not noticed who was right behind him, so... I think he'd be paying more attention to the nice fat Sephiroth in front of him rather than the wanted poster of the (old, thin) Sephiroth behind him.... if he wanted to get in those pants there. But who knows.

It means someone from ADGBC.com. In the beginning, that was people who were members of ADG (anime club on NG) and/or BC (blam club on NG).

[[[tl;dr version:]]]

As of today, Wednesday, September 16th, 2009... I have officially, technically, and INDISPUTABLY entered the top 50 experience points list at long, long last. My nearly 10 year journey (well, more of a nearly 7 year journey, since the first 3 years of slacking off are the reason I had to make the journey in the FIRST place!) is OVAH!

http://www.newgrounds.com/rankings/

Way down there, in the bottom spot. There I am! :::waves to self::: Hey! #;-}>

[[[gfox ramble version continues from above:]]]

Anywho, I actually first APPEARED in that spot on Saturday, 9/12, 4 days ago now (as Bahamut notified me on Steam, as I hadn't seen it myself!)... but appearances can be deceiving. I was only on there because the lists (and profile rankings) still update only once per day, in the early morning (used to be 3:45 AM NG time, I think, not sure what it is now), and.... I've been depositing shortly after midnight lately...

http://uniqueusername.newgrounds.com/ <--- uniqueusername, OTOH, usually deposits in the last 3-6 hours of the NG day, and he had 8 exp more than me by the end of Saturday 9/12, meaning I wasn't really #50 yet when the list updated that morning... just 2 exp ahead of him temporarily till later in the day when he deposited. But... depending on your definition of "technically" in the top 50, you could say Saturday 9/12 was that day for me.

Anyway, the same thing happened on Sunday 9/13... I deposited before the list/profile ranktimeupdate funs, he did so afterwards... then, on Monday 9/14, something special happened:

I saw I was ranked #49 in my profile! Now, this made me think for SURE I might be #50 "for realz" this time, so I went to see who else I was "ahead" of now....

http://100816.newgrounds.com/ <--- 100816 and I were actually TIED for #49 with 25160 exp but I was showing as #49 due to having signed up almost exactly 9 months before he did way back in 2000... I resolved to check his profile RIGHT AT MIDNIGHT that night to see if he deposited to get 10 exp ahead of me, or if I really had tied (and thus passed) him... since I still wasn't "really" ahead of uniqueusername yet.

AND SO.... I forgot to do so until midnight MY TIME, which is 1 AM NG time on Tuesday 9/15, and at that time, just one hour into the new day, he was at 25170--meaning I couldn't tell if he'd just deposited in that past hour since the new day started, or if he had done so on Monday late in the day.

BUT.... either way.... today, Wednesday 9/16... I deposited within the past hour, checked my exp and his exp and.... I've got 25180, he's got 25170. I'm 10 ahead of him or I'm tied with him and have it on the tiebreaker for sure this time.

I think uniqueusername is still ahead of me, as he's at 25178 now, and again... he always deposits late in the day, so... I'm #50 for sure... working on #49.

And.... I had always wondered who I'd pass to get into the top 50... who would I knock out of that hallowed hall to take my rightful spot (long since pissed away on not being a NG statwhore my first 3 years of accountholderhood)...

Turns out I actually knocked 100816 out of the top 50 itself... but first I knocked uniqueusername off the top 50 list at update time. A very unique (har.....) and complex memory to hold, but one I'm sure to cherish in the years to come.

The End.

Aye, that's what listmakers do it for... the love of the stat game.

No we are the exception to that.

What kind of videos could I make with Fallout 3?
The videos could be endless, theres no limit. VATS, Nuka Grenades, Fat Man, Dunwich Building, Enclave Death Claws going feral.

He could blow himself like a mile into the sky with a nice Fat Man explosion under his feet, I'll bet.

* note - I have not tried that myself, but I'd imagine it would be possible. Might need to enable some sort of no-gibbing-allowed-to-player-character cheat first, though.

I managed to thwart off Cooper for one more week, Thank you Luis for the Gay London Meet Up. This week I should do much better I am planning on sitting all day on the computer for CLock Day but I will probably be forced to do something that eats up my day. 1k from the 29th or 30th rank now maybe I will surpass it on CD 09.

No wonder you were so active on CD09. Nothing like lighting a fire under one's own ass for motivation...

This clock day is the same day as my 5 year anniversary with my girlfriend. I would pick a day like that with my girlfriend over a day on the computer anytime. That's a no brainer choice.

That's because you got a girlfriend who doesn't veg out on the computer as much as you could be doing.

Those of us with girls who like to INTERNET as much as we do are having both at once, dude.

Clock Day ALL DAY + veggin' out side by side on two computers at once with your honey.

It's teh shit.

Anyway, today's my fiancee's 29th birthday, but we're just veggin' out. We did shit like 3-4 days this week, and for her birthday she'd rather stay at home. I offered to take her to see Harry Potter (she normally wants to see them the first week we're out, but we never went in July and now it's 2 months later and we still haven't gone... frankly, I'm shocked and amazed), but nope. Somehow I always manage to collect one or two.

But this might be your lucky year than Coop. I´ve rarely ever seen a clock day with so many unhighlighted submissions in the portal. Plus 32 submissions have been blammed/deleted already.

IIRC, a lot of those 32 submissions when you made that post were movies with 2.5-3.5 range scores. Meaning there was no way to get a blam off of them, they were removed by the submitters or by admins, not by getting blammed.

It should be 2 people at a time held once a year to make it harder and more pristine. The last election before the 41st-45th was added was 3 so I thought it was going to be 3 this time.

The only constant is that it's always been (to this point), 1, 2, 3, or 4 people, with 2 and 3 being the most common number added in the past 4 years or so, past the first 10 or so members, when it was 1 at a time pretty much.

But this is getting a bit TOO low. Must try to pick it up a bit more in the coming weeks, get back above that 5-6 bppd range I seem to gravitate towards. Because with 5-6 bppd, it's gonna take me.... 466 days. And that means I'd barely get to 72k by end of 2010 when I'd rather get there as early as possible in 2010. So we'll see... but I think a nice 10-12 bppd range would take care of me just fine. It's a matter of trying to get the average up to that, though...

What breaks the chain here is the lack of 38 and 41 gold. :( Still, that 27 - 37 chain is pretty neat. Sure, we won't be there, but it's a nice gang of gold. ;)

A) well, poor level 39 and level 40 people, too. You didn't mention them being a lack, so that means they exist, which means they're trapped in an island of two-ness, and thus didn't even merit a mention. ;_;

B) neither of those gangs features all-Wi/Ht? mods, so by definition they're uncool gangs.

C) by all means, make a nice pic of either (or both) of those mod lineups and slap "GANG OF GOLD" on it and post it around here (or over on General), and turn it into a great NG BBS meme worthy of mention on E.D. if you like.... BUT...

D) it's still not as good as a nice gang of green with us Wi/Ht?ers, be they mods OR not.

I wish the admins would let the mods choose their aura colours, and not just their auras... like the good ol' days. Then we could have a great (COMPLETE) gang of green pic right now.

But as it is, if you give me a list of usernames for gold/green ON Wi/Ht? ONLY, I might add..... right now... I will make a pic. I will shoop the mods to greenness... and all shall be well.

Only neutral mods should be allowed or else the shooping will be dishonourable shooping. If they're gold/neutral, then at least the shoop will merely be to restore the SPIRIT of the neutral greenness. :::noddles:::

Relentless? Trendy? I don't know about that, but the logo sure as hell looks Black Metal-ish.

Well, it's trendy in the States. Can't speak for your side of the pond.
