I've done a similar class, it was fun. My didn't come out anything like yours, but then again we used pen and ink instead of charcoal.

smudge-sticks are completely legitimate tools when using graphite as well.

charcoal is different, graphite + smudging is a no-no. its uneven and makes drawings look bad.

the facial anatomy is all off, but the actual drawing isn't terrible. Also, you made him look mortified, you need to add that little smirk.

(heavily inspired by shadow of the colossus, mostly the color scheme.

you have the form down perfectly, now you just have to work on your rendering and your great!

Almost all cartoons are animated at 24 frames per second, but all the frames are doubled, making it actually 12 frames per second. They do this so that some things can be really fast, but other things take less work. Get it?

I collect cigars but I never smoke them. Is this weird?

It kinda does look like a sperm actually. Either way, when it comes to art its best to always be modest, even when your not terrible. (which you aren't) You won't get assholes bugging you all the time.

I prefer it before, the lines have more character.
