Gatling, Thats a hell of a face you've drawn there, I like the face that it's a little rough in it's lines, it makes it a stronger match for the skull that comes before it. How are you going to animate it? Does it grow onto the skull.

Lol, I completely ignored this question, but here 's the answer.

The animation is almost finished, it just needs some fine tweaking.
I'll send the .fla next weekend

Booglee-san, where's the little sneak a peek at? We're still waiting!

Vincoid ik heb net ontdekt dat je Nederlands bent ^^

Keep it up, motterfokkers

BOOM HEADSHOT!!!!!!!!!!!

Response to: editing posts Posted January 13th, 2008 in Where is / How to?

There is simply no function in the Newgrounds BBS to edit a post. It kinda sucks

Response to: FACE collab Posted January 13th, 2008 in Game Development

So as you know I was stuck on the drawing of the face that will go over the skull. Well today I was extremelly bored and I just drew over a wanted poster of a guy with a big chin. rearranged practically every part of the face a little and came up with this. What do you think? Where you think should I improve?

Sorry for the typo's; my english sucks

I'm Belgian, but my fathers site family has roots in Luxembourg and my mothers side is Dutch.

So I guess I'm Beneluxian(?)

The collab is closed, because of the file size it'll take when finished.

Response to: FACE collab Posted January 12th, 2008 in Game Development

Boogley, are you dead? Where's the preview you said that would come?

Response to: NG Outro Posted January 12th, 2008 in Game Development

Sorry for double post but I forgot to ask

Do you think the texture on the rays are any good or should I delete them?

Response to: FACE collab Posted January 8th, 2008 in Game Development

I'm going very slow on the animation. School started again and it's taking away all my time and I really can't draw the face it has to morph in :'(. I've tried but it didn't work so I'm waiting for my friend to finish the drawing.

Here's what I have already. LINK

I can't animate any further without the drawing of the whole face. The drop falling from the tap will flow out in to the skin/flesh over the skull.

Boogley has CS3 so save it in any file you like.

so, hey! tell me if this mutation is fine, or maybe I'm still missing some frames... or maybe I should exagerate it more!!!
(press here)

Pure uncut Awesomeness!!! WTF was that?! I couldn't see wat he mutated in make it freeze longer at the end.

Response to: FACE collab Posted January 7th, 2008 in Game Development

...obviously i need to make him do something each phase, even if it's just him looking around, to make it more interesting, and also the transitions need a load more inbetweens to make it look coolio.

Aren't you gonna make him die? Ending with a skull or something, it would fit the whole idea. (now I have a feeling of it being unfinished)
And for the background you also can do something that symbolises the time span of aging (birth to death), like a sun coming up and going down in the animation or something like this. (I dunno if a year counter or a calender will do, but I like symbolism)

lol, Happy boogley?

...anyway, i think we should use a mixture of A and B, just whatever goes with whatever part.

There's a controversial idea if i ever heard it...

I agree with Lard-lad!! A mixture and we definitely should use the scratches inbetween parts. I'm just throwing things out here but what if everyone chooses their own music and make a scratch at end of their animation? I dunno if this a good idea. Because some parts are really short, too short for a piece of music, but then again each induvidual part gets more personalized.

It's called 'I'm a Scatman' by 'Scatman John'.

You can find it if you search it or something :D It's amazing.

AND YEP - I'm gonna work on another part (but wont submit it unless it's actually any good).

I don't think Scatman is going to work for a main song. Altough the video clip is all about faces, but the song is overused and I think it just doesn't fit the animation. It doesn't mean it's unusable

Response to: FACE collab Posted January 6th, 2008 in Game Development

Credit might not be needed, only if your part is co-author worthy. If he's doing the entire animation, then put his name in the part, if not, I don't know how you want to credit him.

I want to credit him in "Special Thanks". He already told me he doesn't want to be credited, but I wanted to be nice and than him. But if their isn't a Special Thanks section just forget it.

BTW: We really need a song fast!!! I'm going to search the interwebs for a fitting song now

I'm am back from my holiday!

My part is far from finished, I still need to animate more then 1/2.
I suck at drawing, so I'm going to let my friend, who's a great drawer, do the face.
I have a few questions about the collab (sorry if they're already asked but I didn't had time to read the whole thread yet):

Is there a time limit on the lenght of the part?
Is there any way to credit my friend who did the drawing of the face?
What is the song that will be used in the collab?

To Boogley: I want to know how the collab looks sofar. Can you post it on the forum?
Thanx
Gatling

Wow, that was not good. Improve the graphics for start: basically redraw EVERYTHING!! It looks like crap. And did you stole Lard-lad's idea. If I were the leader this wouldn't go in sorry.

Response to: FACE collab Posted December 29th, 2007 in Game Development

Is there anyway to make it faster? I was just wondering how it would look... the backgroundi mean. If you cant then its sttill perfect!

Lol, I thought it went to fast, so I slowed it down! (I have to look at this all the time and I'm getting a seizure.) I'm still going to need a second opinion though

How do you like this for a background I like it, but if someone has any advice on the color please give it to me: http://spamtheweb.com/ul/upload/4107/488 10_FaceCollab.php

That fucking ruled. Just make more. It fits great with Boogley's original.

Thanks! this is just my second animation!! And I'm making more. If I have time I'll do a second part

So this is what I got so far: http://spamtheweb.com/ul/upload/4107/139 53_FaceCollab.php
I made the teeth grow and the eyes spawn. And I am going to make the skin flow from the top of the head down and covering the whole face, but I need some help and feedback from you guys: What can I do with the nose and the lips? And are there any suggestions for the background? I hate the color and I maybe want to add a simple loop (nothing to fancy, just something spinning or something like that) to it, so help me out there.

Response to: FACE collab Posted December 28th, 2007 in Game Development

After an hour and half of work i got this: http://spamtheweb.com/ul/upload/4107/306 0_FaceCollab.php
I'm still working on it, now I'm like at the beginning of the beginning if the animation. I still need to make background and add texture/fill to the skull

1,5 hours of fucking work for an animation of fucking 19 frames!!!!!
Response to: FACE collab Posted December 28th, 2007 in Game Development

I'm in! I'm going to do a all FBF animation of a face building up from the skull!

Response to: Where do I Start? Posted December 28th, 2007 in Game Development

You should ask Alice from Wonderland to bring you to Willy Wonka and he will magically poof your game out of his hat.

You think making an awesome game is easy? You don't even know where to start! First you should installFlash then learn to drawn and do graphic design and the hardest part: actually learn to ActionScript.
