Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all who read this

To make a long story short I want to try to turn some of my drawings into a cartoon, of course, however I have no proper instruction on how to proceed. I did at one point in time, however before the class started the school decided to cut the program so i was pretty much s.o.l and j.w.f. I have from time to time opened up flash and tried to do something with it, but usually within 3-5 minutes whatever I'm trying to make becomes a jumbled mess.

Is there any proper instruction for how to operate adobe flash available anywhere? (Without sinking money into it)
