First lets talk about the climate the winters are extreme as the temperatures go below zero easily and in the summer as high as 60. Who on earth wants to deal with that?
Only in the high north do the winters get extreme. It's normally around zero in the winter and if it does go below it's only a few degress.
Secondly technological advancement as much as I admit the US is ahead in many ways they are not ahead of japan they have some pretty innovative stuff over there however Canada gets video games and other goods later then we do
Considering that game releases only vary by a few days I don't call that MUCH later.
Not only that but television is different they do not allow people to have directv over there due to the american channels instead they have to deal with channels that play american content MONTHS later and call it brand new. To think the canadian children are still laughing about the alien episode of south park (extreme exaggeration)
