As far as that goes, I myself have found that teenaged girls make more "mistakes" but teenaged boys are more likely to drive like morons deliberately.

Well, perhaps I should learn to drive more like them. I just plow right on in, jack my car, deal with it and then have to explain to my hubby what I did today. My truck, incidentally, is about 80% Bondo. I challenge you to find a single spot where a magnet will stick, LOL!!!

I dunno...which man and which woman, I suppose. I mean, I've jacked up my car so often that I'm barely insurable; and the only accident my husband has gotten into involved a drunk driver and wasn't his fault.

He's all right; my biggest problem with him really has nothing to do with him. It's just that when he first came out, what he said had relevence and edge to it, especially for it's time. Now, I think the world is all "edged" out and I'm waiting for someone to come up with something new and brilliant and relevent to this time.

So far, I've been sadly disappointed by the sound-alikes the music industry keep cranking out.

What's circumcision have to do with trans-gender 8 year-olds.

Because the situation with the man that was given sexual reassignment surgery at a very young age, raised as a girl, re-claimed his masculinity as an adult and then went on to commit suicide was injured during a routine circumcision as an infant and his penis was cauterized off. This is the case that many have compared to the 8-year old we've been discussing.

LOL I fashioned for myself a penis out of my play dough and wore it in my underpants for a while. I wanted to know what it was like to be a boy. And my daughter tried to pee-pee standing up and was dismayed by the mess she made all over herself (and my floor, dammit!!!).

But with those with gender identity issues, they know that they are the "wrong" gender in a way that transcends mere curiosity. They know it as surely as we know instinctively what sex we are. After about an hour, I took the "penis" out of my pants, unimpressed, and continued happily on my way as a tomboyish girl. A person with a gender identity disorder would continue on also, but knowing just as much in their heart what they are "supposed" to be.

Just saying...

True, and what a tragedy that was. Hids problem was that he was a boy being forced into a girl's body. His case was groundbreaking in the sense that it challenged whether gender identity is nature or nurture. He was re-assigned a girl before he could have known any other life and was raised as a girl but always knew from his earliest memories that he was indeed a boy. Many say that this proves that gender identity is biologically programmed and not something you can teach someone.

Off topic, I think his parents should have sued the living hell out of the doctor who burned the poor guy's penis off and not bought into all of the "raise him as a girl" B.S. And this is one of many, many reasons why no son of mine will ever be circumcised.

Not necessarily. They use the glans of the penis to fashion a clitoris and the shaft to fashion a vagina. Most transgendered males are still able to reach orgasm.

I don't know where you got this 'its gay and most guys wont do a tranny because of this', since it's clearly just your own opinions. You could have sex with a transgendered person and not even know, is that gay?

And not only that, but there is a fundamental difference between being transgendered and being "gay" or "transexual". A transgendered person is a girl trapped in a male's body and vice versa. This is a birth defect, not a decision. They have proven that a person could look like a very masculine male and have the DNA of a female; there is such a thing as testicular feminization where someone that looks as feminine as any girl is biologically a guy (there have been cases where women have seen a doctor to find out why they are not menstruating only to find out they are biologically male). Why would correcting this flaw with medicine and then allowing the individual to go on and live as the gender they always knew they were meant to be and have what I personally see as a heterosexual relationship? Why would that make anyone "gay"?

I think he/she did. And his decision was supported by his/her parents.

When I was pregnant with my second child, I thought long and hard about what I would do if my child was born with ambiguous genitalia (did you guys know that is the most common birth defect?) or later showed a gender identity situation. I pretty much came to the same consensus these parents did and frankly, I applaud them.

plus can you look at this and tell me its a woman? Is there a woman here that will say this is = to them?

The looks of people who are transgendered vary just like the rest of us. Not all biological women are model gorgeous and softly feminine; not all biological men are burly and have deep, sonorous voices.

But to me, this is exactly why it is a good thing that these parents started early. Their child now has a much greater chance of looking like a soft, feminine female than if they had waited and allowed the jaw, chest and shoulders to broaden and masculinize and the voice to deepen. Then it would take some very expensive surgery to correct and even so, their child would stand a much greater chance of looking more like a "drag queen" than a biological female.

I dunno...I think the parents did the right thing here. Most transgendered individuals knew almost from their first concious thought what gender they were supposed to be; trying to change their thinking to correspond to what their body is would cause only a childhood full of pain and confusion.

That being said, it seems this article blew the lid off of this child's new life and put in jeopardy his/her new start.

I hate all of you closeminded fools.

Myself, I loved Adam Lambert at first. He knocked my socks off when he sang "Black and White" and made me bawl when he sang "Tracks of My Tears". My biggest problem with the guy was that it soon became clear that that was his entire repertoire: falsetto or rock. Kris Allen, on the other hand, seemed to do well with any genre, he continued to grow and succeeded in showing that there was more to him than "flash" and gimmicks. Ergo, he had my vote. (But I was still suprised that he won.)

LOL did you see the way Simon sat so glum after they announced the winner?
