Response to: flash 8 free trial still available Posted April 20th, 2007 in Game Development

yeah a think ot should work but the file is pretty large and would take a while to send (107mb)
heres the link to the trials on the adobe website
<A>http://www.adobe.com/downloads/<A>
just register and click on the free trial of freehand mx, then on the download page there is an option to download flash studio 8

thought id post a topic to help people get a free trial of flash 8 even though its being took of the adobe website for flash cs3, which does not have a trial available yet. all you need to do is go on the adobe site and get a free trial of a related program (freehand mx) and on the download page there are related program trials and you can download flash 8 from there. hope this helps anyone.

you could get adobe cs3 flash professional which uses the new actionscript 3.0. you might still be able to track down the macromedia flash 8 or mx which most users here probably use.

Response to: Flash on PSP Posted April 16th, 2007 in Game Development

to play .swf files on psp:
Create a folder on the root of your memory stick called “Flash”.
Transfer any SWF files to the “Flash” folder
Open up the web browser on your Sony PSP and in the address bar type in: file:/flash/filename.swf

you can create subfolders under the “Flash” folder to store SWF files.

note you need firmware 2.7 or above for this to work and also it will only work with smal-medium sized swf files due to the size of the psp memory

hope this helps

a think you can, but it depends on the controls in the game whether you can play it, if it only uses mouse clicks i think it should work
