Anime: Death Note

Overall the philosophical questions posed by this anime is bound together in a thrilling cat-and-mouse detective plot. If you're an anime junkie, this is a good show to watch. Considering it's less than 40 episodes, you could finish it within a couple days.

Live-Action: Amazing Race

I mean, sure, it's a game show, but the beautiful locales, the varying cultures, and the great architectural features really allows one to get to see a snapshot of what's beyond their windows.

Heck, a good amount of TV isn't that great, but if you take the time to actually look for programs, there are quite a few that really stand out.

Prove it.

You can't prove a negative.

If my pastor told me he had a million dollars it would not fall upon me to prove that he does not have one million dollars, but on the preacher to prove to me with evidence and logic to reinforce his claim that he indeed does have one million dollars. Therefore, the burden of proof lies not with the man refuting the concept of heaven and hell, but on the one claiming such places exists.

Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I thoroughly enjoyed the mellow feeling from the gameplay and the game is just fun.

It just sucks though since you can easily purchase everything before the game is midway through.

Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door if nobody has mentioned that either.

Response to: Bill S. 978 Posted July 3rd, 2011 in General

This bill has to go through the House of Representatives and the Senate before it can be signed or vetoed by the president.

Not only does it have to pass with a majority in both areas, but if the President chooses to veto it, it goes through the same processes.

Nevertheless, I expect the bill to get killed.

Also, topic related.

Grab some food, the guns I have, and break for it on my bicycle. Head for the nearest Army Recruitment center and get some news on what is being done about the outbreak.

Response to: Most played rpg Posted July 2nd, 2011 in Video Games

I've played through Mass Effect 1 and 2 only once. For the most part I want the game to seem like an actual story flowing fluidly with a single experience. For the most part I like the way it has gone.

I've played Chrono Trigger, and it is DEFINITELY a game that has lived up to the hype. I also enjoy Chrono Cross, even though it has garnered a bit of Fan Hate. I'm on my 3rd playthrough of the DS version.

Other than Chrono Trigger, I think I've only played through RPG's once. I mean, I'll play through it and soak in the story, but for the most part the story is one of the main selling points of RPGs today.

I guess what made Chrono Trigger such a replayable RPG was the fact that it offered several scenarios and the ability to experience consequence through the manipulation of time. Quite groundbreaking for an RPG in that time.

Cave Story.

One man is all it took to make a great game like this. Sure, it took him a bit of time (not really that bad considering he was doing it for fun.), and overall made a superb game.

Just wait a few more months. The redesign will be revealed and you'll get your change, like it or not.

By the way, Adventure Quest and Urban Rivals suck for shit. I'd take Sonny 3 over those sad excuses for games any day.

Dude, your girlfriend obviously wasn't for you. You likely wouldn't have made out with another girl while on the trip if the roles were reversed, which makes you the better person. Don't worry about it. There will be many other girls with more relationship integrity than she will ever have.

Dwelling on a girl like that is unhealthy, and will do you no good.

Like an emotional burden or some emotional or physical trauma that gnaws away at your sanity?

I mean, I've been going to a psychologist for some time now, but I see all these happy people and I wonder if I'm one of the few who has been twisted this way. I hate having these thoughts of revenge because I know that if I act upon them then they will feel the pain I've felt. In the end, I restrain myself because I know that I can't trust anyone really. Hatred, suffering, regret, apathy, despair, (Oh woe is me, LOL)

I'm sorry if this seems like an emo post, but I honestly don't really know if I should care anymore about anything.

Is there anything deep within you that you want to let out? I can understand if you don't.

As loose as the BBS goes, I'm being genuine. I hope you understand.

Response to: Brutal ways to hurt people... Posted July 2nd, 2011 in General

Marry a terminally ill person and place a million dollar life insurance plan on them. Sell off the spouses properties and take away any possible avenues of happiness for the families of the terminally ill wife. Put her in a chair, verbally abuse her, belittle her when she's dying of heart failure, disrespect those who save her from heart failure and cause her to whittle away in health.

Then, once out of the hospital, just to screw with her, make her feel like it would be her fault if they got divorced, shove the responsibility of caring for the wife upon our families' shoulders, take all tax benefits and income tax returns from her but still keep her in the care of a financially family with an emotionally unstable son who's on the verge of a mental breakdown.

THEN, once the family is drained of fiscal funds, begrudgingly shift the healthier wife unto another family member who truly doesn't want to have her involved/burden her life (Even though we've lived with it for over 2 years) and ultimately allow the family to watch her solidify from the inside out due to Scleroderma. Take the check, live happily for a few good years and watch the families crumble, whittle, and tear apart.

That's a brutal way to hurt someone, don't you? (It's my opportunistic psychopath of a step-fucking-grandad) I'd like to see someone top 5 years of mental and emotional anguish.
