Same with me, Tactical shoe has my vote.

nothingmater had a good poem going, but it went 'in the pit' in a sense when in came down to the last 5-8 lines. Compared to Tactical Shoe, this is albeit accurate, but rather weird ending to the poem you had going.

Topic: Green Tear

1 day to write starting now
2 says to vote thereafter (trying something new)

Good luck to the both of you!

Well, here goes nothing. I'll try it Ol' Shakespeare style!

Here, I stand in monotone,
Drenched in an effervescent grey void.
Everywhere I venture, I see I am but a clone,
in an ocean of others I find cloyed.

Nay, nay, it cannot be true,
Is my life entirely jaded?
Is there not one who can illustrate my view
and color this world that is faded?

I halt and stutter,
perplexed and in amaze.
A tear of green begins to flutter,
it's source, beautiful and ungrey.

Her name is Earth, as she leads my way,
with but a tear of green, I have faith there exists a better day.

Not too bad considering I'm half asleep!

Well, there's my entry!

Well, I've been challenged by demango, and I accept.

TrevorW, I know that you're probably busy co-ordinating various other battles at this time, but could you make ours sometime soon?

'Preciate it.

Response to: Call out a battle! Posted February 17th, 2010 in Writing

Oh yeah, just to make it known, I am up for battles, if anyone is interested.

Challenge me if you wish.

Response to: MonkeyV v Ravariel Posted February 15th, 2010 in Writing

Here's my vote.

While MonkeyV maintains a solid prose, Ravariel's unique rhyme scheme as well as his nice use of allusion and vocabulary gives him the edge.

I love both poems, but between the two, my vote goes to Ravariel.

Response to: Call out a battle! Posted February 15th, 2010 in Writing

Okay, I'm fine with the competition, then.

Response to: Call out a battle! Posted February 15th, 2010 in Writing

I have a question, if it's about poetry, then can the poets use any rhyme type they wish?

Or is it set at end rhyme?

Either way I'm interested, and quite frankly the day is mine to waste.

SPOILER

Did ANYONE here stay after the credits of COD4? I keep on hearing Cptain Price died...Gaz died...no they did not. If you stay after the credits there is an epilogue that has a sequence where Gaz and Price are talking in the vents of the airplane and you go through "Mile High Club" stage. You drop down the vents and you have to save a VIP where you can see Price fighting with you. Just to clear up some things...SSgt Briggs DID die though. Pretty much all of the Americans died. Yeah.

I'd wish that all my posessions would be given to charity, my body embalmed with holy water/oil and then cremated. I wouldn't want a funeral, I would just like parts of my ashes to be given to family members and the rest spreaded on my land.

I'd then wish for whatever money that I'd have in the bank to firstly pay for am old-time Ford pickup truck a bloodhound sitting under a willow tree. That is what my mother wanted for me to do for her(Or to have done when living.) I would want a card to sit on the driver's seat, saying that I am with her in spirit, and for her to leave no remorse nor sadness towards my passing.

Secondly, I'd set up with the remaining money an asthma charity fund towards finding a cure. That way even in death I might do a good thing for the world.

Wow, I teared up for a few seconds when I typed this. But...this is what I would have wanted.

Yeah, I got so sad when that extremely sad music came (The music was a very key piece in drawing out the emotion) and and he was running and running through the rain just to tell his son he loved him. And then he died. So sad. (Not technically dead I guess, but oh well.)

God, that SO reminded me of my dad, how he rarely gets to see me, and I don't really feel like we know each other that much.

Thank God my parents were out to the store for groceries. I opened the door and my mom thought something seriously bad happened when my eyes were all red.

You know a movie is good when it gets you to cry.

I'm very sorry you didn't get to finish your teletubbies reruns.

I have a deep question. Posted October 13th, 2008 in General

What is the most defining moment in your life that you believe best describes you as a person? If you haven't had that moment yet, what do you think best describes you?

I think the moment that best described me was the moment I had a sudden urge to play with my imagination and to aspire to write stories. To listen to music and to just swim with the melodies...to live artistically. I think that shows I am an imaginative person with many ideals. Not true or realistic ideals, but ideals at that.

The funny thing is, is that I don't express it. I don't act that way with my friends. So...another question. Why do you or don't you act that way towards others?

On the walls hang several large dildos, whips and harnesess. 15 feet away from you sits in a chair, a fat woman about 5'3 tall, wearing the biggest, scarlet red strap-on you have ever seen, smoking a Marlboro red. She smiles dryly at you and says "Finally you're awake. Hope you're ready for round two!"
She begins to walk towards you. Fifteen seconds till you're taking an 18 incher up the ass. What do you do?

I'd rush up to her and dodge the whip if she tries to get at me with it. I'd then grab the marlboro from her mouth and stick it in both her eyes, blinding her. I'd shove the cigarette down her mouth,(which with the arsenic and many other chemicals would probably kill her in a short amount of time) and I would rip off the cardboard from the window. As she writhes in pain, I'd take the dildos and fashion a rope, connect it to the window, and rip out the window. I'd then just crawl out through the window.

That's a way to get out.

Anyway's, if you're going to be so self loathing to say "I'm only 14 so trying to accomplish anything out ot the ordinary is totally pointless and wouldn't count for anything" then you may as well never do it. If this is how you feel then you don't belong in the portal and I would be happy to see that you never did submit anything.

Here's the thing, you either want to do it or you don't, which means you're either willing to do it now or you're never willing to do so. You'd like to think that someday you'll get off your ass and do it but you'll never do it.

So if your attitude is "Someday" rather than "Today" then just forget it. You're a lost cause.

Did I say that? Truthfully I'm half asleep right now and I was just asking a harmless question but I'm sorry you feel that way. Oh yes, how am I a lost cause if I said 'I'm very ethused about Flash'?

P.S. Just because my family doesn't have much money right now doesn't mean I'm just sitting on my ass. One more thing, I'm not self loathing, I'm just unsure. Whole reason why I'm asking this question, silly. Sorry if it confused you.

Response to: Your fear will keep you alive. Posted October 9th, 2008 in General

*sigh* I feel something like that. But I have a less evil impression of it. I'd think a righter way to express what I feel is that...remember those good old days whenever a man stole something from another, they were hung while everyone learned from this example? That is what I think. I'm not really into the idea of a river of human blood and stuff, it's not really my thing. If it's the blood of the guilty...that's a different subject.

You see...what I believe is that with every crime there must be a fair process of finding a man guilty or not. Murder, Assault, Harrassment, and Theft's punishments would be death, but only if they are found guilty after pleading 'not guilty'. The rest would be 1 year for each man/woman whom has suffered as of the crime. It is not fear that has kept me alive, but it is my sense of justice and moral code that has kept me alive.

Why, without law there would be chaos. Yes...with death there comes order, but it should be used solemnly and only in the crimes I have listed. Whatever punishments you do not recieve from man you will recieve from God. I do not wish these ideals to harm or truly offend anyone. This is just what I feel and I would never do this. The only way would I would kill someone would be in self defense.

I'm sorry if death is what you feel brings you life, but I think what you belive contradicts the value of life and your own being. The irony of it all is...why would you wish death upon man, but not upon any other living being? Oh well, I have nothing more to say.

Should I get Flash? Posted October 9th, 2008 in General

Now, I'm 14 and I'm considering into going into Flash if I ever get the money to purchase it. I have a very good idea for a story that I'd like to post up on newgrounds but I don't know if I'd have the work ethic let alone the artistic talent to do so. Is Flash easy if you can draw cartoons well? I'm not sure about shadowing effects, but...should I wait until I get a job or just save my money right now for it and buy it right off the get go?

I'm really enthused about trying out Flash, but I'd want to know if my experience with drawing would make my purchase worth the while. Hmm...I don't really know how to describe my pics. I think I'd have to compare them with drawing/ cartoons of Godlimation creations. It's not really Manga-esque drawing I'm going for, but having a well drawn and intricate character design.

All in all, I think I should get done with school before I try any of this stuff out. So... basically, should I get Flash?

I played that, and I never beat it, yet I never got scared by it. Nothing scary to it. Did you play Railroad to Heaven? If not, I'm just rambling on about some game or movie entirely different. I now think it was an extremely short movie called 'Tibia' or whatever. Look it up on Youtube, be careful, it comes on you extremely fast!

I would think it would be 'Hand Steadiness Test' if you get my drift.
