Not some out-of-hours detention hall.

If being banned from an internet forum for deliberately being a dick grinds your gears, then I'd suggest you stick to the animation, audio, and art centered newgrounds.

While in the BBS I'd like people to follow the rules and be rid of idiots who see otherwise. Those who troll for the lulz will venture onto a different site that will have looser internet fuckwad protocol aka 4chan, and the BBS will be a little more happier of a place.

In addition, I like what a previous user said about having random capitalizations and misspellings on inputting the rules.

Lol, hence the reasoning for said post. People don't read shit they're supposed to. While bizarre it is a concept that while tedious for the violator will effectively, in my view, get it through to them that what they did was against the rules.

Not that they were banned since the mod said so, but the rules said so.

I realize the mods do have a responsibility and fufill it well on the forums, but one method of getting it through rule violators' heads could be to not only implement the ban, but also follow a requirement to read the rule broken, and re-type it in a Java/Flash box to the very punctuation it was originally written in.

It would be like the "I will not..." on a chalkboard you might see in a public school, because if you're going to act like an idiot kid here, you might as well get treated like one here.

Only once they have endured the ban atop of whatever rule they were accused of breaking, that they can return to the BBS. That way simply banning them will not only tell them what they did was wrong, but also instruct them on how to be a better poster in the future. Well, that's my 2 cents.

He's looking for attention. Were he popular and happy, he wouldn't resort to demeaning others to gain self-confidence. Either than that or they're putting on a show for their friends. Another way they look for attention. It's sad really, seeing how society places negatively gained attention on a higher platform than attention gained through merit or responsibility.

I say find happiness in knowing the teacher will eventually rip him a new one or at the very least give him a good Saturday School or detention. Other than that, if the flak isn't directed at you, you might as well sit back and enjoy the show.

Response to: Gas Prices -- Let's Complain! Posted March 9th, 2011 in General

Anyone else find it strange that Steam powered engines, an engine that ran on heat and water (Not exactly a commodity) only lasted for 60-70 years at most, but a gasoline powered (pricey commodity) combustion engine has been in use for the last 150 years (Although not popularized until the 1910s-20s.)

My suggestion? These kinds of cars.

Although it is extremely overpriced, computers at their advent cost well over 5k+. Adjust that for inflation and you're looking at either a new car or a plastic hunk of 16kb hard drive goodness. Wait for gas to go over 6-7 dollars and we'll see these cars coming in very soon. I call dibs though.

I don't see it that way, she just doesn't have the money to let me stay. She gave birth to me and looked after me for 16 years, nobody else did both of those things.

I have definite experience with these kinds of parents, seeing how my aunt is one. She doesn't have the money to uphold her kids, so she kicks them out at the age of 18 or if they prove to have a job keep them with her so she can spend their money earned. She actually took her 2 oldest daughters out of 10th grade and forced them to get a job and sign their life away in the military.

I know your mom probably cares for you, but does she smoke/drink/waste money on frivolous things like fast food/movies? If so and if she is 'kicking you out', then by that reasoning she places them above you. I know she doesn't think this way, but subconsciously she does indeed.

Now let me tell you my story...

I was born in 1993 in Michigan. My dad was running our family of 4 off of a little higher than minimum wage and so we worked with it. I actually remember a Christmas where we would not have had any presents under the tree were it not for the Salvation Army. Sure, we didn't have a lot of money, we probably were on the verge of bankruptcy at more than one time, but we made it through. When I was 16, I'm living well off and am very likely to gain a full ride to college because like my family, I worked harder.

Tell your mom that if you really feel that you are a burden, then you can leave. If she says 'ok', then call child services. Tell her it isn't right. If she says no, then prove that you aren't a burden. Work harder in school, apply for every job you can find, even if it's a job to flip burgers.

Prove yourself to your mom and gain her respect as someone who deals with the situation lain before them rather than have the situation deal with them. Once you're 18 you have free-range of where to go, but at least have some insight on the implications of simply giving up if fate doesn't give you a full deck of cards.

You seem to have the capability of being great, but the fact that you hinder yourself with passiveness and 'accepting' fate really gets to me. Sooner or later you'll find that the actions you make will impact more people than you could possibly imagine. What if MY dad chose to leave if they didn't have money? What if my mom left because she didn't have the money to cover doctor costs over giving birth to me?

They had determination, intelligence, and foresight. Have a little of all and you'll go farther than you might think.

I sincerely hope you read this if your scenario is true and I believe it to be so. So much crap happens in households today that really little surprises me now.

Interestingly, our documents, our faces, our very thoughts are being recorded on the internet. It will very likely be a difficult thing to not be remembered in some respect after the advent of the internet and computer technology.

EyeLovePoozy banned me for 3 days for something I realize was moronic and albeit I was 14 years old at the time I don't think he hated me, but the fact that I was a moron.

Kinda like a 'hate the sin, love the sinner' (love optional, but recommended.) thing.

I know I was stupid, I learned from it, and I think someone who realizes they were banned and accepts it will probably get along much more finely with the mod crew. I won't say there aren't some douchebags on here (I don't know many, since I like everyone here equally) but there are definitely offenders who need to get it through their heads that they were wrong, and move on.

Those who don't move on and hold a grudge will treat mods with contempt, and mods will reasonably reciprocate those feelings. Half the time I think it's more exasperation than anything.

Imagine being a moderator who just banned 5-6 people because they were rightfully stupid. Now imagine 4 of them get pissed and, being they are always right all of the time, explain to you YOUR error and the fact that you are wrong and they are right. After the 4-1000 explanations/PM's I can understand the sheer frustration or lack of care of people's opinions by the mods. It's not that they hate you, it's just that they want you to know that you need to take a chill pill.

My dad, being a state trooper, gets a lot of flak and disrespect due to the fact that over half the time people have this conception in their minds that they are the ones right and the officers are out to get them. Once again, it's not that the officer hates you or is out to get you, but it's the fact that you violated a law and you are expected to adhere to the rules of the road. I can understand this sentiment well and I understand that being a moderator is probably more trouble than the title's worth.

Being a Moderator is an option, while still a priveledge, and (COMMENCE SUCK-UPAGE) I respect them for it. Without them, I'd fear for the fate of the BBS. ;D

Come to think of it, this place seems to be a grab bag of biased sources for people who only look for articles that seek to validate their opinions.

Whats your favorite Darwin Award? Posted March 7th, 2011 in General

For me, it's probably the man who killed himself after consuming a large amount of corned beef and cabbage in a scarcely ventilated area and choked to death on his own farts.

What's your favorite suicide/sterlization out of them?

For those of you who are going wtf go here and lol.

Response to: Best/fastest suicide method? Posted March 7th, 2011 in General

Here's the best way.

1. Go to you store and buy corned beef and cabbage.
2. Once home, shut out any source of ventilation. Doesn't have to be prefect, but make it to where little fresh air comes in.
3. Make corned beef and cabbage and consume it in large amounts.
4. Fart like crazy. You can watch a movie or read a book while this occurs.
5. Eventually, the methane produced by your body will kill you when you breathe it in.

Source: I read this epic death in The Darwin Awards.

You can also jump into a vat in a beer brewery. Drink to your hearts content. Then die when the large amounts of carbon dioxide pull you down to the bottom.

First step: Interview them separately, find inconsistencies in their testimonies, and capitalize the crap out of them.

Next step: Get a lawyer. NEVER represent yourself. You're effed if you do so.

Next: Present the texts. Hard empirical evidence will go VERY far. In addition take the polygraph tests. People who do google searches will get BS answers, and hell, Mythbusters found that lie detector tests done today are 99 percent accurate. Not only do they test heartrate and brain frequencies, but the video tapes are recorded and help to dissect each and every emotion to produce the true answer as to your truthfullness. Once again, take anything heard on the General forums with so much salt you'll go in Cardiac Arrest.

Finally: If you're found to be innocent, give them their due. Sue for damages, attourney costs, and slander. You could be a millionaire if you are proven to be innocent.

Hell, a simply careless mistake by a surgeon almost allowed my mom to sue the surgeon for hundreds of thousands of dollars.(That is...if he had not committed suicide weeks before the mistake was found and my mom almost died.)

Anywho, keep it up, and don't rush things. Look for little things and let her know that you feel the same way. You almost kissed, that's something, but was the 'almost' due to your nervousness or her? If it was her I'd give her a little space but if you were too nervous then let her know. Honesty is good in a serious relationship.

Remember, sexual relationships are only one form of relationship. If you actually are looking for an intimate bond, don't go for the sex yet. Find out more about her; interests, hobbies, maybe she likes manga or video games?

Good luck (and brush up on your grammar. You look like a troll from first glance, but this is simply me trying to be a voice of reason in the 'BANG HER NAOW' crowd.)
