I'll just let everyone know that the submission date will be in September. I have 2 weeks vacation coming up beginning in august. Plus a very important exam at the end of august.
The menu and intro will take me sometime, so since my free time is taken up with studying ($4/hr raise when i pass ) I think September is reasonable for everyone to take their time and enjoy the pieces they are making :)
Darkness, I'll change you to spawn. Chubb, welcome back, I hope your trip to your cousins was fun.
Chris, when it comes to acceptance within the collab.... the only thing that won't get you in will be lack of effort or that the animation itself doesn't portray the idea of the collab itself.
yes i dare say that'll be around the magic number.
Lundy, thats fine, i'll exclude you from the collab.
Chris, its a cool idea, but the pipes themselves are large, and doesn't exactly show Mr. Fantastic's powers, as "anyone" can get into a mario pipe.
i have no problem taking care of your sound effects.
looking good. that is nicely done, specially for 20 minutes.
holy wow thats an awesome idea.... split your piece into two... one before and the other after the crap.... thats too funny as well... because Moose is doing Galactica crapping, which is a character from the fantastic four series.... sweeet :)
Akadra and his secrets :)
Chris, you could also do, Shocker, Jaugernaut, Vulture, Mysterio, the Lizard, Scorpian.... I'm a marvel fan if you can't tell. They don't have to be popular characters either.... if a couple people don't know the character.... oh well.... Akadra is making his own characters.
Chris, you could do Mr Fantastic from Fantastic Four.... i had an idea about mr. fantastic using his elastic ability to hide from a super villian. he hides in plumbing pipes..... that is fine up until the part where someone flushes the toilet :)
thats great to hear Akadra. any idea on the villian's "plot"?
So i think instead of splitting the collab between heros and villians, i'll just take the top submissions. the number of parts accepted will not be announced until further down the road.
i actually don't think you understand.... the "parts that are open" are not actually specified parts. You have to pick a Superhero/villian that is unused... example.... no one is doing Doctor Doom.... no one is doing Rhino, no one is doing Vulture, Shocker, Aquaman... so on and so forth.
So just pick a character from the Comic land universe, Image/DC/Marvel..... and so on. Its your choice.
there are parts left... just pick an unused comic character. i can also take care of your sound if you wish.

All pieces are to be saved in a master MC file and all Symbols are to be properly named... example: if your doing Doctor Doom please lable all symbols beginning with " DD - "
All individual .fla's are not to exceed 3 megs, if they do, that generally means the file has not been optimized.
1st question: - 96 frames at the beginning of your piece are for a comic cover to zoom in.... this is to have your name, the character your doing... just basically make your own comic.... refer to Snubby's or my own pieces for an example. These examples are 16 posts up.
2nd question: - when your converting your symbols into graphics/buttons/movie clips, please save your entire work in a "master MC (movie clip) file"
3rd question: - don't worry about exceeding the 3 meg file size.... we already decided that you don't have to worry about it.
So 16 posts up has a list of people who are doing which comic book character. Mysterio is to be added to the list as well. But if you want to do a character that someone else is doing, then let me know.
it won't be that long. probably around 4 minutes. what i'm thinking of doing is turning it into 2 collabs. the hero edition and the villian edition. plus, depending on quality of the submissions, some parts most likely won't make it. :(
i'll put you down as doing mysterio, what is your idea for him? anything yet?
Nuggs, I can take care of your sound for you if you want
unfortunately i can hear the beep in the background. try turning your speakers down, or the mic is to close to the speakers... that causes that sometimes.
your hulk screenshot isn't bad, but you'll need to clean it up a bit though.
yes, you can go ahead
i've pm'd everyone but 2 people looking for updates. people who have joined from the start will need some type of update, otherwise new people who ask can do those reserved parts. this doesn't mean your out or anything, but you'll have to compete for the place. \

If there's still some room left i would make flash who's trying to pursue a robber but he look backward to look at a nice chix but he hit a wall... Or something else ^^ still gathering ideas annyway.
Sure thing, you can do Flash if you wish.
beautifully clean Moose, once you get the voice down to your liking, i think your piece will be really smooth and funny. :)
I'll be updating the list of used hero's/villians. So if you wish, you can look at the list and select a character unused.
So i'll be going camping this weekend and won't be back till monday. So if we can see some updates that would be super.... and not supper :)
Have a good one guys, peace.
so my third part has been started.
after this long weekend both canadian and american, i will be starting to look for more progress. if not, those parts that are taken will still be yours, though they will be also open to anyone who wants them... then it'll be the better piece in. We need to start seeing more progress on this.
Thanks

imho it was hilarious
oh okay, i get ya now. well the style is completely up to you. with my two pieces i didn't go big head small body. i based mine as close to the actual comic characters as time would allow. use which ever method suits your plot and your own individual style. go with whatever you'll have the most fun with :)
when more and more pieces are complete, we'll address music. some pieces will be more voice dominant where music will only hurt it.... but we can look to dull it out for those.
thats from the massive pressure his body is exerting in an attempt to unload an entire planet :)
too funny. well done
okay, part 2 of mine is done. i wanted to get across his pure boredom with this one.
i may have web floating around.... not sure yet. i think i'll do a couple touch ups as well. make it look a little cleaner as well.
truly nothing personal. the style of Xavier that your going with looks great. though if the time spent on animating is low, then it can turn out to be very robotic (mainly because the arms and such are very straight).
