Response to: Blame it on airport security Posted September 18th, 2001 in Politics

I kinda have to disagree with airport secuirty really being the problem. Would you increase security during an election if your political party wasnèt ahead in the pollsÉÉ
my keyboard is on crack.....

before this incident however airport security allowed you to bering in swiss army knives onto airplanes.....

my argument is very weak so i am going to shut up but airport secruity isnèt all we can blame here

ritilin Posted June 13th, 2001 in Politics

Ritilin
Its awful stuff. I was recently taken off of it because it was destroying my liver. I take it for my extreme ADD. I am for outlawing the stuff simply because "moderate liver damage" was not a listed side effect.
Whatever just my two cents... as well as my liver

Response to: 06/07/01: Drug Treatment Over Jail Posted June 13th, 2001 in Politics

At 6/11/01 01:49 PM, Freakapotimus wrote: I would rather see "drug offenders" in rehab, but then again, I am for drug legalization, so I don't think jail is the right idea, but neither is "mandatory" rehab. People should be responsible for their own habits, and if they need help, rehab should automatically be available for them.

the only problem with this idea is that the people won't go for rehab. they will just overdose and die.
on the other hand i don't really feel like forcing people into "rehab". By doing so would simply be making another prison..
On the other hand people are forced into mental institutes...
For example a few years back when i was suicidal i was locked into a hospital room..
I was stuck
i had no option but to wait for my anti-depressents to work..

Still don't feel much better but oh well..

Response to: Timothy McVeigh Dead Posted June 13th, 2001 in Politics

having a brother die in that bombing i am still rather against the death penalty. Although i am glad timothy Mcveigh is gone I still feel that the death penalty is out of control in some states. The fact that Timothy Mcveigh's execution was basically a spectator sport with the crowds outside the prison disgusts me. It shows no respect for victims families.

Response to: Smoking Posted June 10th, 2001 in Politics

in canada most ridicoulus court cases are just thrown out by the judge.
IE. Somebody tried to sue macdonalds for not listing how many calories were in a hamburger

Response to: Euthanasia Posted June 7th, 2001 in Politics

I am for it but it needs to be regulated more strictly. EI. Somebody has a stroke and is unable to speak and somebody else deicdes for them... now lets say that person was the inheritor and the person actually wasn't in that much pain but the inheritor insisted...then you would have a problem

My two cents Posted June 5th, 2001 in Politics

1) George Bush is a stupid (dictator?? almost)
2)Dick Cheney is a smart(dictator?? nope. CEO of an oil company)
3)Republicans are greedy anti-environmental oil men.

4)Al Gore is better than GWB but he is not much better.

5)Environmental protection *can* be beneficial to the economy. ie solar panels :$3000.... seems like somebodies making money here so it is good for the economy.

6)Canada is a cool place to live....(it is)

Response to: People who blame TV for crime! Posted June 5th, 2001 in Politics

I don't think that TV is neccesarily bad in moderation. I feel that if you watch too much at too young an age you may be in trouble. On the other hand i watched lots of tv when i was 7-12. I was action/violence movie tv show addict. I loved these things. I am one of the most benevolent people around. I never do anything serious that could get me in trouble with the law. I still think we all watch a little to much tv that might make us a little lazy..
On the other hand so do computers

Response to: School shootings Posted April 13th, 2001 in Politics

I have to agree on you on some of those points. It is impossible to ban guns. However i still think people need to learn that violence is not acceptable. It seems that if a parent of a child has a gun it says to the kid "hey violence is okay". Although the parent is most likely not a murderous pig it just sends a message to a kid.
Not to mention all of the gun accidents involving children

School shootings Posted April 12th, 2001 in Politics

Is it not a coincidence why all the major shootings with the most casualties take place in the U.S....
I find it pretty obvious why
Guns...
Now some argue that the violence in the US is from the cultural diversity.
I find that bullshit.
The US doesn't have very much. Black and white. Thats about it. Canada has Black, White, Asian, Arab, spanish. You name it Canada has it.
THen why are there virtually no such shootings in Canada at least not on this high a scale.
GUN CONTROL
I know it is a novel concept for some of you but the second ammendment was never meant to last. It was kind of a temporary thing until the government could defend its people from the british. Now since the US has no fear of being taken over by the british or anyone else, Why has the second ammendment stuck???
Well thats just my two cents

Response to: Violent Crime: USA no longer #1. Posted March 9th, 2001 in Politics

thats not a very reliable news website i have found. I once went there and it basically said that everyone should leave Microsoft alone. Microsoft has harmed us the consumers by abusing there power and shutting down companies developing better stuff.
If i get one more illegal operation i might have to kill myself.
