They aren't used in Brush.

Wow...does that mean im an idiot?

I have Flash CS4 and my brush tool works fine, i can change the color of it and it draws perfectly. But for some reason the stroke, style, scale, hinting, cap join and miters options are all locked and i cant change them. Any help?
