It's a very nice painting indeed, nothing to critique really. But per art portal rules you CANNOT COME ON THE FORUMS ASKING TO BE SCOUTED or as you put it...vouched for. If you have a good freind on here who has already been scouted you could always PM them and ask super nice.

Response to: :O Who'll be next? Posted June 28th, 2009 in General

I'm gonna go with William Shatner, I figure the travelocity gnome will take him down. He just needs to hurry up before J.J. Abrams writes in some new convoluted time travel twist in the next Star Trek movie just so the Shat can have another few minutes in the captains chair.

I thought the last Punisher was pretty enjoyable myself, and critics are never nice to anything Bay does.

why post it here then? There is this whole big section called "general"that woud have been a better place for this. But on the subject, I think he looks like Maddona. Also, wasn't there supposed to be an Alice movie based on American McGee's Alice that came out on PC some years ago as well? Or is this it and they just dropped the American McGee bit.

Response to: Does Anyone "Rent" Anymore? Posted May 24th, 2009 in Video Games

I hardly rent anything anymore, We've got netflix and I think we've had the same 3 movies sitting on the nightstand for like 4 months now. We pretty much just use the instant watch bit on the 360. As for games, when our local rental store hit $8 a game (360, ps3) I stopped renting. The only way I rent a game anymore is if I have a free rental coupon.

Response to: Installing a 360 game? Posted April 25th, 2009 in Video Games

downloading? unless your running a hacked 360 you won't be able to play a game you've downloaded off the net. As for installing games, that came with the new dashboard a few months ago. You still have to had the game disc in to varify that you do own the game, but installing saves wear and tear on your disc drive and the 360 will be much more quiet when in game.

Response to: New xbox console? Posted April 8th, 2009 in Video Games

blu-ray as with every other new tech is always dropping in price, and assuming it becomes the standard for optical storage as it more than likely will over the next few years I can't see MS having much choice but jumping onboard the Blu-wagon. Besides, it's not like they never cut each other checks before...last I looked every sony pc sold is running MS software.

As for the next console being a failure, I doubt it. There are a number of things to consider though.
If they release the console with an ungodly 600+ dollar price tag sales are gonna be slow to say the least.
If they jump in a year before the competion again and has a more reasonable pricetag I'm sure it will sell quite well.
Early adoption may be a little lower due to people being leary of hardware failure, but if it shows signs of being more reliable than the 360 was sales will inevitably pick up.
Another thing to look at is weather or not they will continue to support the 360 after release of the next console and for how long. If they continue 360 support like sony has with the ps2, the less hardcore will take longer to get in on the next generation. But that in no way consitiutes the console failing.

If we're really really unbelievably lucky sony and ms will make a joint venture for the next console and try to knock nintendo off the top, but I won't hold my breath.

I'm just waiting for the apple i-box with the $2000 pricetag at release and a 50% price drop within 3 months and regular updates to the console every year that can only be obtained by purchasing the newer version of the console.

Response to: can anyone try this? Posted March 29th, 2009 in Video Games

Not many people know this, but if your ps3 breaks down you can play the games on a record player. Just make sure you put it shiny side up so that the needle can read the data side.

Response to: Inexpensive, good 360 game. Posted March 29th, 2009 in Video Games

Mass Effect: was pretty great, and I believe they are supposed to be re-releasing it with the Bring Down the Sky dlc included if they haven't already.
Bioshock: a bit over rated but still worth it
Burnout Paradise: open world racing at it finest and plenty of dlc to keep you coming back
GTA4: plenty of fun, online and off, and with the Lost and Damned dlc you pretty much get another full game.
Banjo Kazooie Nuts n Bolts: mutiplayer was a total let down , but the vehicle creation is pretty sweet and can eat up a good chunk of time.
Fight Night Round 3: good ol boxing fun, online is pretty much dead but single player is fun and turning off the refs ability to call the fight and seeing how badly you can mess up you opponents face can be pretty satisfying
The Darkness: plenty violent, and how can ripping out peoples hearts and eating them with your tentacle things not be awesome.
Stranglehold: It's pretty much Max Payne goes to China, I only played the demo but had lots of fun with it
That's all I can come up with for now

optomassium, it latches onto a victims optic nerve and feeds on the electric impulses passing through, a side effect being the host will sometimes experience layered vision (seeing what the parasite sees over top of his/her own sight.) Only known cure is prolonged exposure to 1guy1jar or BME Pain Olympics.

I'd make the 360 harddrives reasonably affordable, or better yet not have you locked into using only the ones ms will sell you...aside from the small percentage of notebook laptops the can be "hacked"

Response to: Woe is the casual gamer! Posted March 12th, 2009 in Video Games

Wasn't there just a house of the dead and dead rising game released on the Wii? Were neither of those rated M? Why it's such a massive deal that Nintendo is allowing a few games for older players onto the system. I guess seeing as how the Wii is known as the more family/kid friendly system it may not be a terrible idea to make sure parents hear about the game and know to avoid buying it for little billy without noticing the itty bitty need a magnifying glass to see it "Rated M" on front of the game I mean... what the hell is that about anyway? Is it like a review score or something?
E=Entertaining T=Tolerable M=Marvelous? so AO must = Absolutely Outstanding, but I've yet to see a game make it to shelves with that rating, developers need to try harder.

I hope the world doesn't end in 2012, I want a generation not afraid of technology to start running shit before I die.

Dreamcast definatly, so many awesome games that will probably never see a port onto the newer systems.

Snes, because playing Earthworm Jim and Mario All's Stars roms just isn't the same.

And a PSP with hacked firmware so I can play Earthworm Jim and Mario All Stars roms on my lunch breaks.

If the scratch is narrow enough you could try just taping a piece of heavy paper like cardstock over the work area on the tablet and that may be enough to get you over the scratch without putting the pen to far away from the surface to screw up the pressure sensitivity.
