Unless your target is Hot Topic I'd have to agree with the other posters that it may give clients to wrong impression. Aside from that I think you may be skating a bit too close to the Greatful Dead logo.

I've had the "enjoy your meal", "you too" thing happen more than a few times. I'm pretty sure I wasn't hitting on the server though. You've just got to roll with it and laugh it off.

Is there a reason for you being 29 and having only held down one job? Social-phobic or something. As far as getting another job, i don't know that you are in a possition to be really picky. Just start applying anywhere and everywhere, get a paycheck coming in, then worry about finding something better once you've got some stability. Any kind of job at all would probably get mom to back down a bit too.

Response to: Hipster Lingo Posted January 23rd, 2012 in General

Starbucks was a hipster before it was cool to be a hipster...and it's not. So far as I've seen you can't escape shitty coffee houses. Hipsters go to Starbucks probably because they think it's ironic to get trendy coffee. If you try to go to the smaller coffee shops they're just full of douches who think they're better than the hipsters because they won't step foot in a Starbucks. It's a lose lose. Also be sure to avoid coffee shops that also sell wine, the smug is at lethal levels. Solution: brew coffee at home and doctor it till it tastes like the mocha-roca-latte-frapa-carma-lappa-ding-
dong that you'd order elsewhere.

Response to: First Walk Cycle Posted January 23rd, 2012 in Animation

you can also upload your swf to your NG dump. you can't embed in a post but it's better than having to convert to a gif and messing your frame rate up. For a first walk cycle it looks pretty good. My walking animations always seem to end up having a limp, I'm not sure what that's about.

Response to: Worst band/musician? Posted January 22nd, 2012 in General

Beiber is a tool or his producers and I'm sure he'll grow up to hate the music he makes. I'd have to go with Scott Stapp from Creed, he's beyond full of himself and is just a jesusy rip off of Eddie Vedder and Scott Weiland.

I hope you're not being a smart ass and I'm not wasting my time. There may be a simpler method but I only know enough about flash to make stuff move.

1.Save what you've got first just in case

2. on an empty layer just make a dot and convert it to a movie clip.

3. go to the timeline and select every layer in your animation aside from the one you just made the movie clip on and right click/cut layers

4. double click the movie clip to edit within it.

5. go to the timeline and and right click/paste layers.

6. there should be a tab uptop that says scene 1 and symbol 1. Click scene 1 to go back out of the movie clip.

7. make sure it's all centered and pretty. CTRL+ENTER to make sure it runs like it should. Save that mess and post it.

I think I got that right

Bethesda claims they've got a patch nearing completion that will fix the lag/freezing issues on the ps3 version...here's hoping. I do wish I had got it for PC though, the mods are pretty great.

i liked basketball for a minute when I lived in Sacramento. The Kings were in the playoffs against the Lakers and there were cowbells and it was good. After that ended I stopped caring again.

Response to: american drinking age Posted January 21st, 2012 in General

i found that when I turned 21 drinking wasn't nearly as much fun as it was before I was above the legal age...at least for a while, then I learned to stop throwing up every time I drank and it was better.

The legal age in the US was 18 way back in the day then the government was all "make it 21 or we cut off your road funding" since it was state regulated and not federal. What surprises me is that this cig hanging from my lip is more harmful to more people than the whiskey in the kitchen will ever be and they're not pushing to make the smoking age 21 or even older...hell, it surprises me that it's legal at all these days. you fucking hippies.

Response to: USA are invading the internet! Posted January 21st, 2012 in General

the US government doesn't give a crap about american citizens' freedoms, I was about to say they only care about other country's freedoms and what they think about us but I'm not even sure about that anymore. They care about the happiness of those who put the most money in their pockets...and getting re-elected. The later probably being the main reason most of them stepped back from the whole SOPA thing.

the last time we played Risk it probably went for about 12 hours. The only reason it ended was because we were all too drunk and tired to continue.

It seems that during the blackouts at least 6 senators have pulled their support for SOPA/PIPA. Hardly a victory but it's something at least.

Amazing ! But the motion tween between the frame where only the face is shown and the frame where all his body is shown is weird... Anyway, it's a great animation !

actually the only real tween is when it fades to white (alpha channel) I'm working on making it smoother, and I've totally reworked the fart smoke and am much happier with it.

Of your two submissions I like the second one better as style goes. I'd like to see the sword slash have a bit more pop, it feels a bit slow. If it were me I'd cut it down a frame or two and possibly throw in a flash..either at the beginning or end, I dunno which. right now it's like "ohhh i spread butter on you", when it should be "GRAHHH I KILL YOU!" Being limited to 3 seconds of animation makes it hard to get in everything you want, it's a fun challenge though.

alrighty, taking the name out is easy enough. What part of the "fart-boom" are you thinking could use some cleaning up? the gas, the guy, the whole thing?

it's been years since I've done anything with flash, 60 frames of animation seems like a good chance to get my feet wet again.

Response to: Hi, some critique needed Posted January 11th, 2012 in Art

My personal dislike for generic anime characters aside...the biggest critique would be the lack of depth. the arm that looks like it should be reaching forward is the same size if not smaller that the arm that's stretching back behind her. It should be a bit larger to emphasize that it is in the foreground of the picture, the reverse can be said for the arm reaching back, it almost looks like she's got a stubby little arm reaching off to the side. the bend leg is also a bit flat, it would probably look a bit better if it wasn't a full side shot of the leg but slightly more head on. So yeah, just because it is a 2d drawing doesn't mean it needs to look totally flat.

Response to: A Riddle For All! Posted January 11th, 2012 in General

Your riddle seems to simply ask if you or anything exists whether you can comprehend it or not. I may have that wrong. If I got that right then the answer is as screwed up as the riddle...because it does and it doesn't. What you know to be there is there because you can see/feel/smell/whatever it. The rest is faith. If you believe something to exist then does at least for you, but it may not for anyone or anything else...so it is and it isn't. so I guess the answer is "maybe" ...It's too early for deep thought and now I'm pretty sure I've got it all wrong *gets coffee and heads to work*
