A girl I've known since kindergarten just showed her true colors today. She just freaking went off about how a gothic girl at my school was a freak and that she should die. I HATE DISCRIMINATION! I should probably tell everyone what happened. The gothic girl (who is kinda gothic, but not really; basically she wears black and isn't really nice to a lot of people [people who make fun of her, mostly]), who I've known for a long time, left her jacket on the bus yesterday; I didn't know until what happened next. After she got off the bus, one of the guys picked it up and then threw it on the floor; causing some people (including the discriminant girl, who I will refer to as Gloria to 1. make the story run smoother and 2. protect the discriminant girl's identity) to laugh and start making tasteless remarks. This caught my attention. I proceeded to tell them to shut the hell up, put the jacket down, and drop the conversation. One of the guys said,"You're right, I've probably already got a 'disease.'" There's a little bit more, but I'll probably run out of space if I tell it so I won't.
Today, I saw the "gothic" girl in my 7th period and I told her about what happened with her jacket, the kids on the bus, etc. I told her that I gave the jacket to the bus driver and told her that the jacket belonged to the girl and to hold onto it. The girl goes to the office, tells the principle, and I get dragged into it; which was fine, I wanted to tell what happened. So I did.
I get on the bus and everyone's throwing an immature tantrum, saying I snitched (which is stupid because it's not like they killed someone or something. Someone feels guilty.) on them and stuff. Now, bear in mind, most of the people involved are friends of mine (which REALLY suprised me; all except for one guy) and they didn't think to much of it. Gloria, on the other hand, is fuming, claiming the aforesaid freak and death number. One by one, my friends apologize, saying they were a bit out-of-hand, and they leave the bus (oh, by the way, the "gothic" girl left before this happened). Now it's just me and Gloria. She starts yelling, talking 100mph (which she does when she's mad), cussing me out, and all the while I'm partly explaining the situation to her and telling her to shut the hell up. She went off about how the "gothic" girl is a freak, needs to die, is a bitch, etc. I (being as nice, calm, and mature as possible) tell her she needs to stop because I've been discriminated against in the past (and anyone who has will tell you the same thing) and it hurts your self-esteem, pride, and, of course, feelings.
I've lost all respect for Gloria. Now that I've seen her for what she REALLY is, I refuse to associate myself with the likes of her.
