haha thats cute

@JPB i think if we had some faint sketches in the background, not really dark because then the play and pages buttons button would be less obvious.. maybe if everyone did a sketch we could put them all together so the viewer has somthin to look at when its loading.... and stuff

I was looking through my iTunes and the AP music I'v downloaded, and I found this.

I always listen to this song when I'm chillin' out or animating. I would love to see it go in!

Its a nice tune, but it seems a little too serious. Like there should be a deep meaning in the animation that goes with it. Perhaps somthing more bouncy?

Response to: Throw The Ball! (collab) Posted December 3rd, 2009 in Game Development

ok yes please i wud like to join :)

Response to: Throw The Ball! (collab) Posted December 3rd, 2009 in Game Development

sounds like a good idea for a collab, but like everyone else has said what does the ball look like?? I don't wanna start and then have to redo it if the ball looks a certain way =/

But my more immediate concern is that someone with CS3 download's Zelgodes905's part, converts it down to Flash 8 and sends it to me so that I can add it into the collab. Someone get on that please?

Isn't it a CS4 file? I tried downloading it but flash CS3 said unexpected file format aswell...
Who has flash CS4 here?

Response to: The Sketch Collab 2009 Posted November 29th, 2009 in Game Development

gah deadline is so soon!
and there's still half the people on the list to send in their part!
Well I know its not finished just yet but yhtomit you have done a great job so far. its nice to see somebody organised on ng :)

Response to: The Sketch Collab 2009 Posted October 17th, 2009 in Game Development

Yeh, that looks really good. I mean, if there was anyway you could cut down the number of layers, that'd be great, but otherwise, that's fine.

Ok, I managed to get it down to 4 layers with some intense thinking power :)
i'll send the fla in just a moment

there is also quite a bit of tweening, but it's tweening fbf graphics, does that count???

I say fuck anatomy. I've strayed away from drawing people with my tablet because it's just plain harder than on paper.

One thing I could suggest is not to simply draw an outline an color it in, but to start layering your image at a low opacity and slowly working in colors over top to produce something free of any harsh lines or colors. You really have to have an idea of how everything will look to do this, but it gets rid of anything harsh.

Yeah! you just sketch and play around with some ideas with alow opacity, then go over your drawing more and more untill you have a final picture. From there.. I either go on illustrator and do a clean line trace and take it back to photoshop to colour, or just leave it in sketch style (some pictures look best this way XP)

(also... I only noticed this recently... but do you see "some account type thingy here" displayed at the bottom and top of forum pages?? CONFUSED O_O
