Harry Potter... scar... that's too funny.

(You'll notice I'm not really laughing.)

I need more pictures with the bands... as last time I saw DatM I did not have my camera on hand.

Come on, tell me this doesn't look like so much fun!

This is the best band ever. I mean, dude, they're wearing fucking capes, how wicked awesome is that?

How can it be anything but interesting? Wizard rockers Harry and the Potters and evil wizard rockers Draco and the Malfoys?

And not wizard rock but the most awesome band ever to live, Uncle Monsterface!! Derockracy! Lobsters! Underground mutant prairie dogs from hell!

Response to: Yule Ball in Philly! Awesome! Posted October 11th, 2006 in General

There is also going to be Yule Ball Boston, on December 10th, which I may attend as well.

Does no one else love the wizard rock?

Response to: Yule Ball in Philly! Awesome! Posted October 10th, 2006 in General

What? No! It would only be a few hundred dollars for the flight, right? I mean, the show's only $10, you can't beat that.

Response to: Yule Ball in Philly! Awesome! Posted October 10th, 2006 in General

DanMalo, I swear you better be there.

It doesn't matter if you're not big on Christmas, it's going to be all wintery and pretty and filled with wizard rock.

It's not a proper Yule Ball until Ron makes Hermione cry... and that I'd like to see!

Response to: Yule Ball in Philly! Awesome! Posted October 10th, 2006 in General

OMG I made some stupid grammar choices in that post above *blush*

It's the excitement of the event, it's got me all a-flutter.

But Draco and the Malfoys are playing! It's evil wizard rock!! How can you beat such classic tunes as "Voldemort is Awesome" and "My Dad is Rich, You're Dad is Dead"?

Classic, I tell you. Classic.

w00t!

We are so super mega uber excited to announce the info for Philly's Yule Ball :) Besides this post, you can get all the juicy details at our Yule Ball website and on Harry and the Potters' shows page.

Potterdelphia helps to bring this awesome event to Philly, along with R5 Productions and, of course, the bands. Money collected from the snacks table (featuring yummy wizarding treats) will be donated to First Book, in memory of the late S. Chris Saad, founder and owner of Chris' Corner: Books for Kids and Teens in Philadelphia. First Book is a national nonprofit organization with a single mission: to give children from low-income families the opportunity to read and own their first new books.

A million trillion gazillion thanks to Newgrounds for sponsoring our decorating fund! So when you show up and see all the pretty sparkly wintery decorations, thank Newgrounds and Tom :) It's going to look so beautiful!

No no... I'm not restarting the list! It's the same list as it's been all week and it's not going to change. There will be no recalculating of votes.

Response to: Radiogrounds: Greatest Songs v2.0 Posted October 7th, 2006 in General

I think it's even better this time around, now if we can just get it to play.

POSTPONED

I don't know when the server will be up. We'll work out a new date/time and I'll update the topic.

Response to: Radiogrounds: Greatest Songs v2.0 Posted October 7th, 2006 in General

Last year it was problems on my end that halted the countdown when we got to 30. This time it's all the RG server's fault!

Well, maybe it's not the server's fault, per se. But it is down, and I can't fix it :\

Response to: Radiogrounds: Greatest Songs v2.0 Posted October 7th, 2006 in General

I'd say go back to it. I don't think I can fix whatever is wrong. All I can do is wait to see if the server comes back up.

I give it until 5PM. I don't want to start any later than that.

Response to: Radiogrounds: Greatest Songs v2.0 Posted October 7th, 2006 in General

I think the server is down. If that's the case, we can't start as planned. I'll investigate a bit.

Songs by girls or songs for girls?

Either way, countdown starts in just over an hour. I'm making sure everything's OK now!

That's because I had to stop after 6 hours because my internet crapped out, and we didn't play the top 30 until the next week.

Response to: Radiogrounds: Greatest Songs v2.0 Posted October 6th, 2006 in General

OMFG Less than 24 hours to go before the countdown starts! Tune in tomorrow and count down with us!

I ran into a problem last year when I tried to record it for a later broadcast, but what I may do instead is this: just replay the songs again another time. It would be the same exact actual show, but all the songs will be played in order.

Nope! I got her submissions. Voting this year was done via online form, and unless you submitted your top songs through the form, they were not entered. I think it's going to be a good show this year! And better songs!

Will some stupid boy band have a song on the list?

Will my sickness fade by Saturday so my voice isn't all coughy and raspy?

Will my internet crap out before the top 30 are played?

Will there be several versions of the same song?

Will "Bohemian Rhapsody" get knocked out of the #1 spot?

Will "Master of Puppets" show up again... and piss everyone off?

A lot more people have voted this year, and I also upped the submission to the top 25 instead of 20, so people could add another good 5 songs... although not all of them are what I would consider great, but that's just my opinion.

...and I gave myself a week between ending the voting and the start of the countdown, because 12 hours last year wasn't nearly enough to calculate and find the songs I didn't have. We're looking good this year so far!

Response to: Radiogrounds: Greatest Songs v2.0 Posted September 27th, 2006 in General

I really don't think all 25 songs from one artist qualify.

Andy, I was a bit surprised by the restrainst you showed with Queen on the list this time around ;)

Response to: Radiogrounds: Greatest Songs v2.0 Posted September 27th, 2006 in General

Voting ends Sunday! Get those songs in now!
