Isn't the most orginized way of doing it, I just draw all of the mouth movements I know I'm going to use right on seperate frames on the same layer at the start. Then I copy and paste them and align them on another layer to sync with the vocals. For this movie though, I did a lot of mouth tweening so each one was on a seperate layer just so I wouldn't mess it up.

Aww thanks :3 I'll take all of this advice and put it into practice in the near future :]

I think we can head back on topic now. :3

Yer you can lol, sorry just wanted some advice hope this turns out great, I'll keep an eye on this thread all the way until the end then I'll vote 5 and review it 10/10 :]

Thanks for that! ? :]

I think I'll just try to join collabs to get better, and then start my own flashes for Newgrounds, eventually getting better and better
I'll eventually also get used to my own style and way of animating, I've picked up quite a few handy tips, so I'll try them out and see if they work for me, if not, I'll just try until I find something that's useful and works for me :]

One thing is that I won't give up though!

Thanks Everyone who helped!

River's eyebrows are just tweened layers on his head symbol. Probably the only reason I animated the exec like that was after that insanely long Total Drama Island marathon... I'm not huge on the show, but I do admire the use of tweening on the show.

Hmm, how I start them? The Rivers one was just done on a different file, it started as a sketch, then I start with the facial features, each one drawn on a seperate layer, then I go from bottom most layer to front after that. The entire construction of his face took about an hour and a half and the animation (Well, mostly tweening) took about an hour.

It's weird, with this stuff, I rarely think of how I'm going to tackle a scene, I just kind of dive right in and see how it turns out. You just get used to it after a while so you stop thinking about it I guess.

Thanks for your praise, glad to see I can leave some impact. :)

Oh thanks you've really inspired me! I'll just try to join collabs, and eventually build up my flash skill, I'm probably gonna get a tablet (A Wacom Bamboo one probably) and just keep going, eventually hopefully getting as good as you :]

Just to get it right, you sort out all the synced mouth movements on one layer, then add it onto the mouth and sort out the eye movements etc.?

Sorry about this getting off topic, hope you release this, cause you'll be getting my 5 and 10/10!

Thanks, you're work is really inspiring :]

So you make your characters (I'm on about Rivers and the Exec now) and then you just put different mouths in and tween them, whilst chaging the eyebrows and other details?

And how do you start these animations?

Hey guys thanks for the responses!

What I've picked up so far is that you have to keep working on it, and eventually you will progress, get used to the program and develop new skills :]
It's just the part where I could spend hours doing a really good drawing of my chracters, but I just wouldn't know how to animate it really

Thankyou though!

Hey, please don't have a go at me for this but anyway,

I was watching ixintro's Pork And Beans Collab part, and to be honest, it's amazing
I've never been good in the animating department, and I've tried to cover that by making half-arsed games which I've never finished instead. I've always wanted to improve my skills in animating and watching ixintro's part really got me inspired to really try and improve

Thing is though, I don't know where to start. So I'm asking all animators this - how do you start your parts and get them to look like this, and what's the process (what steps are involved) and gebnerally any other techniques that could help me

I came to here for help because I know that there are some extremely gifted artists

Any good help is much appreciated :]

Hey I've watching this collab for quite a while and it's just got better and better

I haven't took part becuase I'm not good enough but watching that part then inspired me to now really try and improve my flash skills

How do you animate and draw things in flash?
Do you use a tablet and if so which one?

But anyway, keep this up and I can see this being a HUGE scoring collab seriosuly!

P.S I'm a HUGE Weezer fan love the choice :]

Hey,

I originally posted this in the WiHt forum, but got re-directed here

Since I re-installed iTunes, I've downloaded the podcasts I used to have back onto it but now, there seems to be multiple groups of podcasts, instead of just the one group for each author of podcasts

I'll suggest using 2 pieces of tape to tape the key back. Cut one tape piece thin to fit the key and tape it to anywhere. The other piece should end on a key that is far and nearby. Now, BE CAREFUL!

Is there actually anyway to fix it back to where it was orginally without using any tape?

Well I was out with this girl before (the same one as I mentioned in the previous posts) and we were both having a good time like, but as I was about to speak she just said "There's no point really in us going out, I don't see the point"

So not the best thing to happen.....
