Response to: Communism? -discussion Posted April 30th, 2009 in Politics

Gotta give credit where it's due...in spite of all its failures, communism had quite a few awesome figures in its history. Plus, hammer and sickle's the craziest awesome symbol, just look at it!

And Marx is just brilliant. Agree with him or not, he still remains to this day one of the most studied scholars of his kind. And that beard is pimp : )

Response to: Newgrounds Medals - Games and Tips Posted April 30th, 2009 in Where is / How to?

The flood of all these new medals kinda takes away from their significance, a while ago with only a couple medal-worthy games it was so meaningful to have them. Some of these new ones are just ridiculous ( there's some cool ones too, but still).

Maybe this is just a natural trend, but I really can't keep up with all these new games and medals. I suppose it's the right thing to give designers the freedom to add achievements to their games.

Response to: Stalin vs. Martians Posted April 30th, 2009 in Video Games

Lol ya this has been flowing around the web for quite a while now. WWSD ( what would stalin do)?

Always great for a laugh, some of the most random & weird ideas going into a "game." Sure would be epic if this gets popular enough to spawn into a theater production.

Response to: I love Q-tips Posted April 30th, 2009 in General

Lol just about everything here can be made into "what she said..."
But ya, they're awesome. Cheap, dependable, absolutely essential after a trip to the beach.

Just don't push em in too fast or you'll never get the sand out XD

Response to: Newgrounds is back (theme) Posted April 2nd, 2009 in General

Awwww I'm already gonna miss the april fools theme ..... XD
Come on we have 364 other days to look at the default theme.

Anyway, for 4/1/2010 I petition for a Russian theme! In the Soviet Union, flash submissions BLAM YOU!!!

Response to: Chat will steal popularity of BBS.. Posted April 2nd, 2009 in General

Chat is chat, forum is forum, two different entities each with its own use. If it stays, ya, more time spend on chat for people = less on bbs, but that doesn't change the fact that they're completely different.

Response to: Un-Blocked in China! Posted April 2nd, 2009 in NG News

Just wanna take this chance to congratulate NG staff, great work! This has been one of the most outrageous april fools prank I've yet seen, and you've truly made the site a whole 'nother experience. Every part of the site design, to the hilarious chat, and China-themed submissions, was so well thought out. Definitely be able to look back on this day and savor all the jokes.

Although the site's mostly back to default, there's still a couple of things that remained unchanged ( mature rated flash still can't be seen, user icon still stuck at Mao, etc, etc) Will these remain as a running gag, or will they be filtered out as the site's changed back to normal?

In any case, again great work on such an extensive endeavor to fulfill the spirit of the holiday, a lot of sites out there can learn a lot from ngs.

How current is the version of AoE 3 you bought? Might not even be compatible with Vista.

Try it on another pc, ideally with 2000/XP and see if it works.

Quite interesting. Didn't know a few of these titles, mods for GTA? Sounds pretty sweet lol.

And Carmageddon was awesome back in the day, like the Twist Metal equivalent for PC, with great graphics.

Response to: Great Game Or Greatest Game Ever Posted March 15th, 2009 in Video Games

I can name so many old school titles that revolutionized gaming forever
Like Contra, Doom, Star Control II etc etc

But the greatest RTS, if not ever, has to be Starcraft

Lol there's so much more than that, particularly in terms of improving hand-eye coordination.

For example a while back I read about a Med student finding correlation between playing games consistently and being more proficient at surgery. Not sure if it was only based on FPS, or games in general.

How exactly do you define "illegal" (btw there's no extra i after the l)? How dare Obama adopts a different set of tax policies from Bush? Yes, yes, who does he think he is, employing economic policies consistent with democratic ideology? I don't like it, it must be illegal!!

Do you think anyone in history has ever done anything without the support of a mass number of idiots? Yes, it would cause a civil war if he tried it, but never put anything past anyone. Germans had high hopes that Hitler would bring them out of their problems. The blind sheep rallied behind him without a moment's thought. He turned the masses of sheep into a force that overran entire nations.

Its things that you think are impossible that are the most dangerous. Before you say "He couldn't do that!" remember, no one saw the attack on Pearl Harbor coming. They thought it was impossible.

Let me reiterate this one more time for you. He is comparing OBAMA to NAZI. Obama, the first black president of the United States, symbol of the movement towards racial equality, to NAZI, infamous for its WHITE, ARYAN SUPREMACIST ideology.

If you can't see how ridiculous that is, I really don't know what to say.

He traveled to Hawaii a while ago and was eating pineapples by the half slice. So eventually he started getting a rash around his mouth and he was like "What the fuck?!?! I got herpes from a pineapple?!"
Then a local asked him if he'd been eating a lot of pineapple and told him that it's so acidic that it irritates the skin really bad.

Herpes from a pineapple lol.

Ahaha I guess there's the reason why he's bartending.

Don't get me wrong tho he could be an excellent bartender. If you heard this story from a surgeon though, might be in trouble XD

Oh really? You know, some people take it upon themselves to be Obama's brownshirts. While theres a small chance the website could be a joke, the sheer amount of posts and the seriousness of the topic texts... i get a feelin they're serious. I hope this is some sick joke, but seeing how stupid people really are....

I don't deny how there are vaaaaaast amount of Obama fanboy & girls following every move he does, but how is that even relevant to stating the Obama administration is turning into Nazi Germany?
There are COUNTLESS legitimate faults to find within Obama's policies, but this has got to be the biggest joke I've seen from Obama haters.

You're right, never underestimate the stupidity of mobs on the internet.

Response to: Comedy - can it go too far? Posted March 3rd, 2009 in General

Racial sensitive topics have always been thin grounds. But as the entertainment industry evolved, stand-up comedy etc etc have become so much liberal and free-rein these days. In fact a lot of "comedy" today has simply become who's ballsy enough to say something more vulgar & offensive. However, one aspect of the American comedies I appreciate is how we're never too uptight to laugh at and make fun of ourselves.

Of course there are boundaries still...Whether certain jokes are appropriate can depend on the person as well i.e black comedians can get away with certain jokes/words that no one else can use.
