If it's any consolation, I don't have nearly the responsibilities that running NG must throw out, but I'm in the same boat. Too much going on with too many other things depending on each other and little to show for it in the end. I think it's part of moving into the "professional arena" and heading into our 30s.

I miss the days when I could submit a few movies to NG every year and get excited each time. Checking in repeatedly to read the reviews and see what scores I would receive or if I'd get an award. Making other Flash animator friendsand learning from each other. I haven't had time to make anything for NG in a long time and it's unfortunate. But, I owe a lot to where I am now and where I am headed thanks to the practice I got via NG and the benefits of this community. That being said, I still stop by here a few times a week to at least read the news posts.

You (and everyone who has helped you) have made a great thing and even if much of the media doesn't know it, lots of the people who would really matter to you do.

Back when we used to make these things, we threw them together in a few hours with just a shitty VHS-C camcorder. No external mics or anything. We were pretty green at the time and these little shorts actually turned out to be really helpful learning experiences.
