Yeah, you just have to take music for what it is. Everyone is always so preoccupied about comparing bands when really there is no actual criteria to rate a band against. Just listen to the music and shut the fuck up, if someone doesn't like the music you like, don't start insulting what they like in hopes to sway them onto your brilliant taste. Different music works on different days, some days you don't want to sit there and be pounded by hard ass riffs / psychotic screams and shredding, you might want some progressive like Dream Theater.... I hate people who try and proclaim why what you listen to sucks as if their taste is truly any more justified..... fuck people.
