2. Nobody seems to care how many times bush used the word Crusade when describing the iraq war.
3. 96 times out of almost 4000 words? Let's see...that's about .024%. What a huge number.
I cannot believe that a baby just died of rat bites, and all that you people are talking about is who's to blame! Can't there be an issue without someone being blamed for it? Rats are extremely hard to kill off. This is no mouse infestation. That's different. Rats are bigger, meaner, can survive almost anything, and reproduce very quickly. The landlord is NOT the one to be blaming.
The mother is grief stricken. The last thing she needs is to be blamed for her baby girl's death. A mother should be able to leave a room without having to worry about their baby being chewed up by rats. If she knew all along that there was a rat infestation, i can see where people are going with this. But come on, guys. Seriously. You think that this person is a bad mom because she left her baby alone for a while? The mother is not to blame.

Time always has existed. Time would exist whether we put labels on it or not. Whether or not we declare units in time has no effects on it's existence. I see where you're going though, and i see your point. The idea that i'm getting at is that even if we called time something completely different, had different units, or just didn't define it at all, it would still exist.
We exist. I'm pretty sure that I'm typing a reply right now. Our existence has no point in the cosmic sense, but we do exist. I used to ask myself that same question, although i think it has a pretty obvious answer to it. Existence means you are present. We do exist.
I think that Obama has great potential. He overall fits the job very well. I do think that he is overestimating his abilities, and everyone else is too. He's not only expected to save the US, now he's expected to save the world. Thus, he's trying to fix the economy with another bail out (which didn't work), he's trying to provide universal health care, stop the war in Iraq and send troops into Afghanistan all at the same time. That's way too much to expect of one person, even if they are the president. And check this out, now people quite literally worship him. He's only human. I'm all in favor of him, i voted for him, but i think he's over his head.
I didn't say we weren't working on the problems. I said that we are, but we have no clue how to get rid of nuclear waste, and yet we keep on making nuclear power hoping that nothing will go wrong. I'm all for saving the environment, i just think we'll need a lot of luck on our side when we're trying, cause honestly, we've screwed the Earth up pretty bad.
It's not the same as famines or anything like that, because it's in no way natural. Atoms aren't supposed to be split into pieces. They're supposed to stay whole. The Earth's ecosystems and overall natural order of things weren't meant for 6.8 billion people.
I say don't look at the bright side, don't look on the dark side, look at what is really happening. If you are only optimistic or pessimistic, it's not going to get anywhere. You need to take a look around, accept the truth, and try to fix it. That's how we'll save the environment if we do.
Wow. I can't BELIEVE that this POST has gotten so LOW that people are just making BAD puns instead of staying ON topic. THIS is REALLY patheTIC!!!!!!!!
Two problems:
1. Swine flu started out in mexico before the USA even had acknowledged it. It was only when it spread to the USA when we started worrying.
2. It's a physical illness. I know someone who has swine flu. Maybe i'll just phone them and say that they don't have anything and the government made it up?
I completely agree. As a matter of fact, america is the most squeamish country that i know of. Censorship is basically a bunch of paranoid people telling everyone that if they don't want to see it, nobody should. The way i see it, all of these people can start minding their own business and leaving other people alone and let them make their own choices.

In 1999 the change was an addition of one year. What do humans do? We stockpile food, prepare for hording crazed maniacs and yell doom and destruction. A little tiny germ mutates, so then it spreads and kills a fifth of the worlds population in 1918 before we finally find a vaccine, not a cure. If there's one thing humans can't do, it's adapt to changes in the local environment.
The environment will collapse in the next century, leaving a couple of survivors. Sure, the ozone layer is shrinking, but we still have a giant horribly dense garbage dump in the middle of the Pacific Ocean twice the size of Texas, millions of tons of nuclear waste is pilling up without any way to get rid of it, ice caps are melting so fast that the preassure on top of Mount Everest has been relieved so much that it's grown a couple of inches in a year, the Taliban almost has control of nuclear weapons, North Korea and their insane god-king Kim Jong Il already does and is already launching measuring devices out into the Pacific Ocean, scientists estimate that we're about five years away from a major nuclear/biochemical attack/war from Pakistan/North Korea, and since 2007 the doomsday clock has read 5 minutes until midnight
We're improving a tiny bit, but we've put so much energy into it that we've exhausted all of our scientists and pretty much used everything we've got. In the next fifty years, we'll have no more forests on the earth, and in ten more years we'll be fighting for our pathetic lives.
I'm not trying to induce a riot, but face the facts; humanity is doomed. The only bright side i can think of at the moment is the fact that we can still slow down the process and that i could be dead by the time the doomsday clock strikes 12 and we brace ourselves for impending nuclear annihilation.
Flag burning should be legal. People say the flag is a symbol, but if i added an extra star, would it be completely different? Flag burning should be legal, but i don't advise it cause even though you won't get arrested, someone is bound to beat you to a pulp.
We don't hate you guys (or at least not all of us), we just like making fun of you. Just like you enjoy making fun of us =]
I hate that people think that gay marriage is wrong because marriage is holy and between a man and a women. WAAAYYY back before civilization, love was being attracted to someone. It was free, but then we organized it and threw rules into the whole mix to isolate people who are different. It makes me sick. Besides, you're acting as if you know what's good for gay couples. What if they aren't the same religion as you? What if they don't believe that? What do you have to lose if two gay people marry each other? I say mind your own business and let people make their own major life choices.
FINALLY someone else thinks this!!! I have been trying to explain this to so many people, saying that racism is just descrimination, there's no reverse about it. It pisses me off so much to even hear someone say that. You are smart.
Of course if arguing is so pointless, how come it freed the slaves, gave many countries their independance, gave many people basic rights such as voting and free speech, and pretty much saved the world from nuclear annihilation during the cold war? Arguing isn't always pointless, my friend.
Oh, man i mutilate rocks all the time in state parks. I'm a total badass!!!!!!!!
The way i see it, science is getting more and more ridiculous. I'm not religious in the least bit, but the way i see it, either we're beginning to understand how the universe works or we're just losing control of our minds and making all sorts of weird theories because we like to pretend like we know what's going on.
No, I'd say hitler was a pretty bad guy. He wiped 6 million jews completely off the face of the earth for no good reason (literally, because he didn't like them) along with handicapped, homosexual, and black people because he wanted men with blond hair and blue eyes to rule the world, because everyone else was obsolete in his eyes. You think he's an OK guy for that?
Also, just cause many other countries performed gross violations of human rights, doesn't make it any more ethical or OK. I agree that hitler didn't invent genocide or antisemitism, but he was a pretty bad guy.
Conservatives think that liberals hate america because liberals don't see america as the single greatest country on earth. In many conservatives minds, that works out as us hating america. However, if liberals hated america,
1. Why do we try to maintain the original message in the constitution, which might i remind everyone, is pretty much the document that built america?
2. Why are people like Pat Buchanan and Sarah Palin now talking about abuse of power during Bush's term and how the war is pointless? That was what the liberals were saying five years ago, which made the conservatives call them traitors. Now the conservatives are saying stuff like that.
