Okay, let's get this straight, for ALL of you... The main reasons ppl want to seperate is because they wish they could spend their money their own way... Because like it or not, Ottawa almost decides what the provinces do with their money, and we don't like it. Neither do alberta and some other provinces, now, what would be ideal is a way for all provinces to be seperated from eachother but still united in a way, kinda similar to europe... Now i know what i just said will hurt many canadian's pride, and that's because i used the word seperate... But by that i mean that there wouldn't be a gouvernment governing the provinces, the provinces would do that themselves. Each province has different needs, yet Ottawa doesn't seem to understand that... Another thing is the fact that we fight hard to conserve the french language... WE ALL KNOW ENGLISH is the dominant language in the world. That still doesn't change the fact that when you're spanish you're spanish, not english. And all we really want is for people to stop discriminating us because we speak french, we all work hard to learn english and for most of us you wouldn't even believe we're french. Now when i go to Ottawa(wich is a 10 minute walk from where i live) i hate the fact that everyone i see barely knows to speak french. When we just live a 10 minute walk away from eachother. We are united, and we should respect eachother and support eachother, dissing us because we speak french or dissing the english because they don't feel like they need to put up french on their signs is not a good thing and never was. We should all just get along, all learn french AND english, get a little more slack from Ottawa and stick together. Now for my finishing point, you wanna know why so many Quepeckers(i am one, so shut up...) are pissed at the other canadians, because we were here first, you came in, and for most of the time you tried to convert us to english-speaking anglicans, now that's not real fun... ANd the events of 1988(i think that's it) when montreal was under martial law, and ALL soldiers were purely english... Most people had a hard time just getting into their house and the worst part is you couldn't explain to them what you were doing because they couldn't speak french(yes, i know i said we almost all speak great english, but it's still frustrating, you have to put yourselves in our place) so please, hardcore seperatists and CLF bastards, just stop it okay? GOOBYE!
