There was the Silent HIll that the husband looked around.

What?
Even if an illegal immigrant comes here-- they do learn how to speak enough Jack in the Box to say, albiet that it sounds like this:

"Wol you like a Yambo Yack wid Sheesh?"

People say, "Learn our language!"
But really, since when do people communicate with illegal immigrants?

Only when they're doing certain business where they have to interact with people. And in always in that case, they know enough English to get the business done.

Otherwise-- no money wouldn't be made, wouldn't there?

If by "Learn our language..." you mean, "Speak English... all the time!"
I don't know what to say-- is it any of your business to listen in to a private conversation?

Being billingual myself, I scolded a costumer who had the tenacity to listen on a private conversation between my costumer and me. (I was a bank manager.)

This lady says, "You know, you shouldn't talk in Spanish because it's so rude. We're living in America, you know!"

I turned around and said, "It's rude that you're eavesdropping on our private conversation. Thank you very much, I hope my tellers are doing their very best to get right on with the rest of the day."

I continued talking in Spanish with my costumer. And after that, I talked in English with the next one.

I really got to wonder,
I live in a city with a very dense immigration population. However, it seems all immigrants know enough English to conduct whatever they need to do. Of course there are levels of fluency, but I can assure you:

If you're going to get a burger, you're gonna get somebody who knows enough English to serve it up.

You know,
With each passing generation, they tend to lose their cultural language...

Really,
this whole "Learn our Language" is pretty assinine--

But yes-- Illegal immigrants do pay taxes because of the incentives... I'm pretty sure most people know you can pay taxes with a tax ID number...

But in the meantime, I have to ask you this question: why is it okay for Mexicans to cross the American border illegally? Regardless of the benefits, perks, or negative effects, the Mexicans should respect our national laws and wait their turn to emigrate.

I didn't say that it was okay for illegal immigrants to cross the border--
I'm just saying--

Illegal immigrants minimally apply for social services because of fear (which is true...)
And that they do pay taxes because of incentives...

That is contrary--
Ilegal immigrants tend to not to apply any social services, the time they usually do get help is when they're so sick or hurt they're forced to emergency rooms.

Infact,
Illegal immigrants, who minimally apply social services and etcetra, contribute more because... they don't recieve these things... even if they pay taxes.

Yes,
pay taxes...

Because illegal immigrants do, now that it's been pushed for some time now, pay taxes without a social security... but a tax ID code number.

This is because with this proof-- it becomes easier to become a legal citizen.

I get to name my cousin second removed baby boy... He is going to be born on May 20th--

Anyways,
I have the honor to name the baby for my cousin because I'm going to be the godfather.

Anyways, my cousin wanted to name him after me, Enrique... But seeing that they may move over here... they may want to go for a cool bilingual name in Spanish (or Brazilian.)

I've thought about it:
Christian
Adrian
Tristan
Dorian (after my pet bird... lol)

I'm thinking Tristan sounds bad ass--

Why is it that we suddenly care about the livelihood of people and their jobs when we're discussing about illegal immigrants,

And infact, I hear many people gleefully exclaim the benefits of outsourcing to India: including stimulated economy, stronger competition, etcetra...

For pratical reasons,

Wow, that might be the sadest thing I have ever heard in my life.

When I'm going back to Mexico, I'm going to take back my Mokian doll from Thunder Cats... I was an utterly sad boy when I left it cause that was my only "store toy." My grandmother kept it for several years and displayed it with her shelves her knick-knacks. I told my aunts to NOT give it to my younger cousins-- it is MY doll.

It does sound bad... but you know... I grew up happy.
I think it gave me "character."

And the decision on the type of punishment (life or death) either is created by the judge or the DA...

Response to: Poverty Posted May 3rd, 2006 in Politics

The homeless frequently suffer mental health problems which go undiagnosed for a long time. Family's just often "forget" them till one day... they're on the street.

You can't really compare illegal immigrants witht he poor because each side have different sets of problems and issues.

And it's not like that the homeless are homeless all the time. Some actually get out with the help of community based programs. There was one program I participated a few years back. Basically, I went around used cloth stores and bought business suits for both men and women of all sizes.

I also went around people asking for their donations of soaps, shampoos and even unfinished colognes and perfumes.

The homeless would "dress for sucess" for a job interview. They would use the address of whatever place they were staying. After they've landed a job, we helped them to obtain fair housing.

One success I'm particularily happy because I sometimes talk to this woman. Candy, who is a little wha-who in her head used to be homeless... she is still sorta nutty, but she was able to get out of her rut. She works as an administrator at a junior college, and she still helps out that program. She has a nice little apartment, clean clothes, and goes to a counselor to help her with her mental issues.

But whatever--
