His study doesn't take in account the variables.

For example, why are most politicians usually WASPs? Are presidents usually White men because there's an inate trait in them?

People could make a quick hypothesis and a thorough research and come to the conclusion that White men are more apt to take on Presidential jobs.

But that would be ignoring other variables such as the fact that most of these presidents come from well to do families (more than "well to do" infact...) and other things like that.

While there maybe differences between men and women, saying that women are less equppied to study math because they're not as capable to men is indeed sexist and such as study is INHERENTLY flawed.

I am amazed a professor, of all people, could make such an error of not taking in variables such as society pushes men into these fields more often than women. I'm sure there are a whole lot more variables.

And all of you could just bitch and hissyfit about feminism, and how right this professor was.

Well,
I read his report and while the man does do a good job at not using scientific bias, he simply can't control the variables. After all, the many important contributions in mathematics and sciences have been made by women such as Marie Curies-- which disproves his works.

Bah--
You guys are such bitchers and moaners. Grow some balls--

I am not happy with this thread.
It really got the ugly out in many people.

I don't know about you. I've read many of your posts. And you seemed so sincere in a Backbroke Mountain thread that it makes me think that you are geniuinely gay.

But then, I see you playing around... putting different pictures saying that you (I got your real picture, BTW-- I combed through many pages and found the consensus).

If you are gay with AIDS, then why are you telling us here?
To be an attention whore?

I do not appreciate what you're doing to the gay community, there's enough things being fucked around without you making things a mock.

I don't know if you're female, 60 year old man, or whatever (as your posts said.) I myself played many a joke on General. Maybe you are gay, and that's great--

There aren't many openly gay people around NG, and only 2 stick out prominently... and one is a mod.

Make another thread like this, and I'll remove your anonymity by posting your real pic.

You sound pretty catholic.
But that sure sounds like an interesting story. Which I had never heard about before. What did he do?

As an atheist (but with Roman Catholic family)--
Even I see all the stuff that Pope John Paul did for the world. Albiet it wasn't close and dirty as Mother Teresa's miraculous acts of kindness, Pope John Paul did much to pull strings that would change Roman Catholic Relationships with the world.

I mean, he tried and nearly succeeded to bridge the centuries old dispute of the Great Schism. He tried to fix the centuries old relationship with Jews (remember, Roman Catholics in the past have been terrible towards Jews.) He was the first Pope to call Judiasm as the Father Relgion, or something like that. Indeed, as a "Child of Poland" during the Halocaust... it's rather amazing.

Really... I don't need to go on... it's just way too much. I'm pretty sure it's been wikied...

How the hell do you manage that? Contact the ISP?
We combed the NG forums looking for info on him. Once we got his name from some of his postings, we found his address on one of those people-finders. We already knew where he lived, so that part was a little easier.

Oh yes... the whole suicide thing.
Well now-- that was a very dramatic moment here on the lounge. I do remember everyone here was looking for info from here and there. I do remember Funk saying he had the address at one point because he sent a bracelett (or something like that-- I may be wrong.)

Nonetheless--
People... I know we all have problems.
I've certainly thought about not living a few times myself. I know I've expressed that point here once or twice.

Put please, don't actually say you're doing suicide (like that MySpace kid... how horrible) because, really, there isn't anything that we can personally do, and the burden and guilt is shifted on us.

I know I would never return to newgrounds if someone who I know well enough online committs suicide, I will feel too terrible and guilty to ever return. I mean-- What can we do in a split second except write, "Oh no-- please, please..." And that doesn't do much if somebody REALLY wants suicide themselves such as LivingCorpse.

Do what I've done: keep a drawer of free pamplets to all sorts of hotlines. (I store these with my receipts, so they're messy... but there for me.) Infact, I actually did call one of these on the death of my child because really... I've been distraught. And now I go to group counceling to help me with grief. (As you know... several deaths in the past few months.)

Soooooo--
Yes. Save those Health Ed pamplets. So handy.

Wrong, it is in the Christian Bible, in the Old Testament, in Leviticus. You are right, however, in saying that He reinterpreted it, but He did not change the stance on homosexuality.

Now it is you who is picking and chosing what Jesus truly said or not.
If it's not in the text, then we don't know anything about that aspect.

Jesus broke several rules on purpose of his time. Such as mixing with the non-Jews instead of killing them, touching filthy things, and other sorts like that.

Why wouldn't he break this rule?
I mean-- we're not sure if he got a piece of Judas action...

In the end,
What the Bible says only reflects what we we tend to believe.

For the most part,
illegal immigrants are self-autonomous, rather prefering to not bug the government if possible.

While I won't dispute that there's been illegal immigrants in the past that may have abused the system, for the majority, fear keeps them from even looking for basic services such as health care (till it's too late.)

"Negro" is very much archiac English, although it isn't a bad word. However, due to the US' history, "negro" is very much a pejorative word.

Although, it also depends on the context. I could see why people may had percieved your name racist although I don't believe in this. Infact, the United Negro College Fund preserved its archiac word much like the Society of Momos ("Momos" produced the very little used word "mimicry" which some members here use every now and then.)

In Spanish, it isn't bad at all.
Perhaps if you put it in a Spanish handle-- like,
"El Negro Blanco."

First... the sounded like really bad...

Second,
During the Zoot Suit Riots, the Mexican boys who were put on trial for the Sleepy Hallow Incident (or whatever it's called) weren't allowed to shower or change clothes in 3 months (more or less... can't remember.)

The other lawyer argueed that since they come from barbaric blood thirsty people (Aztecs) that he was just simply showing them "in their true nature." (think that's there words...)

Judge totally agreed, and ranted about blood thirst and etcetra...

Anyways,
This issue has always been tricky. Sure some people maybe more agressive. But not everything is passed by genes. And not every behavior can be expressed as either nor or.

Nonetheless, there is no excuse for behavior that harms people maliciously. Even if rape was genetic, people have are concious enough to know that rape is generally a crime punishable by the law.
