I don't give a shit if western "authorities" see denial of this as bigotry, it's just impossible and there is no hard evidence.. Funny thing is, death count kept rising in years up to 3.000.000 from less than a million.

Genocides were never good about keeping tabs on mass murdering people.

maybe... they were too busy at murdering so many people.

And whenever they did... they would burn them as exemplified in Germany and Rowanda.

Speaking about zombie literature...
my latest rejection letter from pseudopod...

Thank you for sending us "ASSIMILATE OR DIE". I've reviewed the story
and decided not to purchase it. I like the central idea (the zombie
apocalypse from the POV of illegal immigrants and symbolic/cultural
resonances of same) but I feel there needs to be a stronger story than
just "hard won survival and then a trip to the store in zombie mufti"
(I would also imagine the chance of being shot when pretending to be a
zombie would be very high, but this also ties in with your theme so
you might want to mention it in passing).

The writing in general could be tightened up a bit. For example, the
first paragraph ends in a sentence that uses thirst twice in the same
sentence, and the next paragraph's "Sometimes they abandoned packed in
trucks were they roasted alive until the flesh melted off their faces
and piles of meaty pieces pooled on their chests and laps" seems to
missing some words or something..

Finally, the point is too clearly stated in the end, which is tough, I
know, but you should think about referencing the earlier moment
without spelling out to us why it's important.

To tell you truth, we've been absolutely swamped with zombie stories
recently so we're being a bit choosy and only considering the one's
completely unlike anything we've seen before. This was close, but I
did want to repeat that I think the central idea of the story is aces,
it just needs some work.

Thanks for submitting, and I hope my comments have been at least a
tiny bit helpful.

Sincerely,
Shawn Garrett <submit@pseudopod.org>

This happened literally next to my home...

Not my neighborhood, but in terms of proximity... from where I'm currently typing, it's just a few feet away.

I pass that spot all the time... and in the early mornings too (2 or 3 o'clock) if I'm coming back from my Isaias's place or my boyfriend's.

Personally, I've never felt creeped out, but I sorta do now.
This is happening with greater frequency these days because a lot of the important after school programs and activities have been cut off because of the economy.

*sigh*

Copyright.
It's not worthwhile.
And it only goes to your words... stealing ideas, you can't get any sort of monetary compensation.

I meet the guy who wrote the original "Mall Cop" story-- before the studio whom he sent out took the same story, but put in their own writing team. He's getting no where...

And more than likely,
somebody is gonna steal an idea than your actual words.

I've already seen somebody's blog that has a short story (of lesser quality) that is highly similar to my short story "Devil's Food Cake" (daughter, grandmother, deep secret... Soylent Green angle.)

All the birds are semi trained (except Hermione, the youngest of the doves.)
They don't fly into the kitchen if they're out... they got one designated area, which can be cleaned of poop easily. Kitchen is off limits because of the potential that they may fly into/onto the stove or some sort of kitchen appliance.

And even then, they're potty trained. (except for Hermione, and then the cockatiels... they're the only ones who I clip their wings.)

But they see me eating an apple, and they go nuts trying to get to it. (They all love a bit of chopped up apple.)

And they also love broccoli and carrots.

Do you really think that you can simplify my feelings for health care to just that one factor?
Because I'm telling you--

there is more.

That goes for anyone. I could reduce your stances against abortion, gay marriage, and etc and simply chuck it up to religion.

but that would be unfair because there are more than those factors going into your opinions. (though, your religious beliefs are tied to them.)

Be fair to me and don't reduce everything to one thing (and don't say it obnoxiously either .)

I'm willing to talk about illegal immigrants. It's definitely not a closed subject for me.
but at least come up with a paragraph, actually arguing for a point.

Although--
Like I said...
Health Care Reform doesn't include illegal immigrants.

or pick up the tab for abortions (unless it's a dire circumstance)

Okay.
I was too hasty to respond.
Tit-for-tats are bad things. I feel very caty now, and I usually end up eating my own foot when I get caty.

And for all I know, Memorize was trying to show some solidarity and a sense of humor in this situation. (Which are things that I truly appreciate.) And in the past, I remember that I've shown a racist inclination (after some tit-for-tat) and that was only for Cellar (and that was quite an exception. In a friggin major way.)

I won't explain why I support because I've mentioned this before, and I know I will share why as this thread grows. And my background as being very poor, and my current financial situation (and my families) and what I believe what we should do as a society has more impact on my political beliefs than the simple fact that at one time in my parents life were illegal immigrants.

Soooooooooo...
let's lighten up this situation.

It's very sweet, but not pleasantly. I personally dislike it, but you can add it to your cereal and you won't miss anything... it actually makes it sweeter.

As far as soy milk and feminization...
rubish.

Soy is delicious and healthy. Asians, especially the poor, have been eating it for generations, and you don't see men with breasts and acting like women.

Some bodybuilders add soy to their diet to make their protein more complete. They should worry more about steroids than eating a few edame pods, or a piece of tofu in their soup.

It much more delicious than lactose free milk.
