I probably should have just gone straight to college after finishing my junior year in high school because I got so damn lazy in my senior year that now I'm procrastinating whenever I have some free time. 3 big projects due on Monday, and I know I'll just put them off till the last couple of hours of Sunday night.

I think it's mostly because of the time. Games didn't start out with that many mature themes, but now, it's a new experience. People want to play something original

get some talent and come back in a year when you can actually be on this site.
i do these in FLASH! i suck on FLASH! I started like a month ago, also my art is good on the outside, here i got a scanner,
ill submit some real drawings

if you suck at something PRACTICE! a month of using a program is nothing. try a year and then post if you think it's good enough for the forums. but if you have to think about it, don't even post (if it's worthy, you will know). this forum is not just for flash even though this is a flash site.

another one? what is this? 10th one this month?

+ABOUT+

This collab is about random drawings ^_^

so basically the whole art forum?

Do you know those little doodles you see in notepads. Well this is about that. So what you need to do is use the picture in the link on bottom of the page and draw over that, you can draw Anything you want. Draw any random thing you want. If you don't have flash and can't draw on the computer but can draw on paper, draw it on a lined piece of paper and scan/ take a photo and send me that photo. :P

this is waaay too broad. "hai guys, send me arts and i will paste them in my colab!"

+BIOS+

This is needed for the viewers to know who made it. It will be viewed next to the picture.

1. Username:
2. City/State:

seriously, isn't just your username enough? i don't want some serial killer newgrounder to burn down my city

2. Must be 600px by 500px
3. Must follow theme.
4. Violence, Gore, Blood allowed.

When you complete your part send it through my NG PM and upload it on a site that I can download it from?

starting with "when where why how" doesn't automatically make your sentence a question.

MUST USE THIS PICTURE FOR BACKGROUND!

I drew that picture so DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CLAIM AS OWN?

WOW! that's an awesome NG tank ya drew thar. and those lines...they're so blue and stuff

I hope you guys join and tell me if I missed anything out?

you missed an actual picture that you drew. i don't know about other people, but i don't follow those who can't even contribute a good amount of work into a project.

Response to: College Life Club Posted December 3rd, 2008 in Clubs & Crews

I'm a student at the University of Illinois and I'm majoring in New Media. I'm thinking of switching to Graphic Design, because New Media is too broad of a subject for me and the program just started this year so it's probably not too stable.
Media is something that I was very interested in. I love making movies and writing scripts. Back in high school I use to make movies for movie competitions all of the time and I had my Rawk movie win first place for best comedy and best acting. It was basically a story of how a couple of guys became a friend with a rock and people loved it. Those were the days. :(

yeah...I recently studied this subject and found that the course at the university I'm at teaches a wide variety of media. Digital Painting is something I'm more interested in and everything else is...meh.

So far, it's been fine. the only problem I have is in my history class. I took a mid term exam a while ago and almost failed it, and that's the only big grade I had so far. I'm taking Rhet and it's a lot easier than i thought it would be. The other classes are mostly art related and I'm acing them.
Yeah, I remember doing fine in my History final, but I still didn't care for the subject as much as I thought I would have. I just failed a class very recently and it was the first time that I have ever failed a class. Damn Economics and everything. Too bad it has to be so important or I could use the, "I will never use this in real life" excuse.

I'm taking Medieval Art History and it's a pretty boring lecture class. I never take any notes because I memorize most of the things the professor says. The test we had was BRUTAL. we had 50 minutes to write a page about 5 pieces of art. I never was good at time based tests. good thing the final exam will be 3 hours long (albeit there's like 15 essay questions)

My dad's paying for my tuition (at least for the first year) but i really need to get a part time job to afford all the supplies i need for a lot of my classes.
My parents are also paying for my tuition, which may change here very soon when they get the story of my failing class back. :( Job time for me too I guess then.

Me and my brother are planning on buying a house and renting out the available rooms. The dorms at my city cost like 400 bucks a month, so it might be a good idea. My brother's handling most of it though.

What's the quickest way of doing this? I tried some Online sites but I'm a little hesitant of giving out my personal information. I can't find shit in the classifieds and they're mostly for experienced students (no one will hire a freshman for a graphic designs position).
Isn't there some jobs that the school offers? Like a desk job or kitchen duties or something. I recently sent in my application to get a desk job at the university's rec. center.

I think the job market's been slow lately. I also tried to apply for the rec. center at my university, but they didn't have that many positions available.

I'm a student at the University of Illinois and I'm majoring in New Media.
No shit. Is it the campus at Urbana-Champaign or are you in Chicago or Springfield?

yup, urbana-champaign. I was hoping to get a job that's closer to my field in study, but I guess I'll go for some smaller fish.
I think I'm going to take some GenEd classes in the local community college so next year won't be too hard and to cut back on the tuition.
