Ok I have two questions about a sound file that I'm trying to manipulate because I have no clue what I'm doing.

1) when I start the sound, there's a pause, and then the actual sound starts but on a lower frequency (is that right? frequency?) which is kind of annoying because there's this "click" whenever I start playing the sound. Anything I can do to fix this? It was a recording from youtube and I don't think I can get anything else that's of better quality.

even telling me what this problem is called will help, because I can't google it

really don't see the need of this IMG crap. If you want to make a list of your art all nice and pretty, just go to deviant or another head-up-its-ass art site. It's not like you're using newgrounds to host your portfolio, in which case no one in their right mind will accept you.

TF2 for sure. L4D has been collecting dust in my steam games for months now, while I got TF2 when it was out, and I'm still playing it.

holy shit, I have the exact same problem you just describe. Mine's used to go away after bending the screen a little, but now it doesn't work.

I'm thinking about just sending out a complaint about it and try to get a new laptop. This is like the 6th time I sent it in for repair.

there's no real point in speed painting something you haven't practiced first. Say I wanted to make a quick drawing of something I never seen before. I would do some observational sketches, then some more worked out drawings, maybe a couple of gesture studies, and then start getting into this speed paint business.

don't take a screenshot. Go to file, export image and save it as a jpeg. Aside from this, I really don't understand why it has to be pixel based
